Breakfast was included and had either an egg sandwich with a soup or a traditional Japanese breakfast with coffe and tea facilities. You were able to get your amenities from the front desk (including a face mask!). The washing machine and dryer were awesome (not everyone has one). Choose the view of Mt Fuji if available, because it was the best thing to be able to open the curtains and see it there. They are willing to shuttle you to and from the station just ask in the notes, they are very willing to be helpful. If you get there too late, get a taxi there. Much better than walking in the dark!

The fresh towels and water were great to be provided every new day. The view was amazing and the bathroom was great. The room was comfortable and had lots of space and the beds were a great size but could have been a little softer. Loved the pillows. The rooftop view was amazing and it was nice and clean. The little domes were cute and all the fairy lights were so pretty in the garden. The clothes washer was great and the laundry area was nicely set up with detergent and provided clothes baskets.

The hot drink options could have been better, instead of just teas and black drip coffee it would have been nice to be able to get a hot chocolate. The dryer was annoying to use as it didn't dry very well, I spent about 1.5 hrs to dry a full load and had to use both machines, but having to pay seems a bit unkind especially when the dryer took so long. I think a few more explanations of site facilities in multiple languages or a guest explanation book in your room would help. As we even had to turn the fridge on. The smoking area was not very obvious or accommodating if you wanted to have a seat.

The breakfast is very basic. Including breakfast with the stay did not seem like a wise decision.

Room was large, clean and really comfortable and the tatami area was great. Having a great view of Mt Fuji out of our window everyday was fantastic, watching its different moods. Having a full day of deep snow was fun too, although not anything to do with the hotel. We had the Japanese breakfast every day which was wonderful (we do not travel to Asia to eat western food), and all the staff were really helpful. The rooftop area is great and the provision of a microwave, laundry area and vending machines on the lobby floor were really useful.

Late check in. Front desk needs more staff to facilitate the check-in at 3pm. We arrived at 3 as we were told. But there was a 30 mins waiting because there was only one staff doing all the check in process. And it took 5 - 10mins to complete the check in as some of the guests were leisurely discussing / asking help with their trip plans with the only one staff while others were waiting in the queue to be checked in.

We arrived the hotel in heavy snow. The Fuji mountain was nowhere to be found. My cousin and I were disappointed and trying to guess where it might be from afar. The next morning the snow stopped. When we opened the curtain, we were shocked with our jaws on the floor: the Fuji mountain was so close like it was shovelled to our faces. It was also facing the most magnificent side of the mountain. Can’t love this view more. The breakfast and staff were nice too. Room is spacious to the Japanese standard. Shops and food are close. Highly recommend.

Nice room for four people. This was biggest room in our trip to Japan. The roof terrace was perfect! Nice view to Fuji and tables and chairs to sit and enjoy.

The price for renting a bike from the hotel was surprisingly high for hotel guests. We rented sporty bikes cheaper from a bike rental Office near the lake.

It was a pleasant stay in Haostay. The staffs are helpful and fluent in English, which makes communication easy. They helped us make reservation to a popular izakaya restaurant. The japanese style breakfast was delicious. There are about a dozen of parking space but most people didn't drive so we were able use the parking slot at the front every day.

The water pipeline in the wall was nosy at night, and we could heard next door talking loudly some time but it wasn't too bad. Also would be great if there are more storage or place to hang up clothes in the room, esp. in the bathroom.

Location: Close to the southern part of Lake Kawaguchiko and to the red, green and blue line bus stations 3 Good to have a free shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station. 4. The staff members are kind. Location: A bit far from Kawaguchiko station to walk with a suitcase. 4. A free shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station is available only in the morning, 10 am once.

View of Mt. Fuji was incredible from our window. We had a spacious room and all the facilities we required were available. We even got a little gift in the form of Japanese pancakes after our check-in, and we could freely take bathroom amenities like moisturizer and face-masks at the service desk. Breakfast was also included and tasted delicious. After checking out, we could also store our luggage free of charge, which we could pick up later that day from the Haostay coffeeshop, which is a 3 minute walk from Kawaguchiko station. This was especially convenient for us since our bus to the next destination departed at 3 p.m., while check-out was at 10 a.m. This meant we had some time left to visit a nearby park which was a great start to our day.
