Room Comfortable and clean. Good rain shower. TV that recorded. Fridge in room useful. Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff (majority of). Nice atmosphere in breakfast/dinner room and bar. Good choice of drinks and food. Good location near to Metro and Jesmond bars & restaurants.

No plug next to bed to charge phone. Few bathroom Amenities. Noise from the road if window open. One member of staff on Reception quite rude. Prices were quite high for food and drinks (£8.30 large glass of wine and £16 for breakfast if paid on the day/£12 in advance seems excessive for Newcastle)

Perfectly positioned to get my daughter settled into University. Close to metro and 25 minutes from airport. Hotel staff very accommodating and gave me late check out when I asked The breakfast is self service and best I have seen in a while. Caters for all tastes from cereals, fresh fruit, cheese/ham, continental and cooked breakfast. Room perfectly adequate, decent large shower and plenty of hot water, fridge and safe

I can't think of anything, it fitted our requirements perfectly and staff could not be more helpful.

Beautiful room, it was spacious, really clean and had a feeling of luxury. I hadn't come with high expectations of the food so it was a pleasant surprise! We had dinner there before heading out into town. It was great to easily, and safely park the car during our stay and then either walk or get an Uber/taxi (with the hotels help) into town.

The staff may well have been a little tired, so a bit more engagement would have helped in the explanation of the door card - having not used one like these before - I could get in, but hadn't realised the use concerning the lights!

Location was very convenient because my son is a student in the University nearby, allowing him to walk over whenever possible. Housekeeping was superb and whatever we needed when requested was given without any second thoughts. Bed was comfortable and since it was winter, the heating was fairly adequate,but a spare convection heater was loaned upon request.

One or two senior staff could have been a bit more polite to customers as some of these customers have a language barrier being foreigners. David from Blyth and Sahara (Iranian lass) were excellent staff .

the hotel was really clean, the staff were also very friendly, I stay away for work quite often this is one of the better hotels in the area, the food was out of this world!

the direction I had to travel to get to the hotel along Jesmond road the traffic is terrible along that route I had to try and get over the lanes of traffic to turn into the place otherwise I would of had to make a turning and join the traffic coming alongside the hotel to be able to turn into the place. (Not the hotels fault at all just making it clear to other hotel users that they may have to do this)

My family and I regularly stay at this hotel when visiting Newcastle. In fact, collectively, this was the 3rd visit this year - so we must like it! Excellent location for city centre. Parking on site is always a plus. Staff is the main are friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff on our last morning were fantastic considering there was no water due to a burst pipe.

Bar staff at Zio's were unhelpful and a tad surly. It was unacceptable to say the snooker chalk had been missing for weeks, and they weren't replacing it! Why not keep some behind the bar?

A great buffet breakfast. Really comfortable bed hence a really good sleep. Very clean hotel and room. Staff helpful and welcoming. Was also good to have a large number of electric car charging points

Only issue was the car parking machine was not working. If the hotel had put a note on the machine, considering they knew, I and others would not have continued wasting effort and getting frustrated and concerned we couldn't get a ticket potentially risking a fine.

I think because we got such a good deal our room overlooked all the heating vents etc and was a bit dark but we hardly spent any time in it as there’s so much to do in Newcastle. Parking used to be free but now £10 but that’s good for City parking 24hrs.

Perfect location for us, room spacious and right temperature. Bed very comfortable and bathroom facilities good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast lovely, lots of choice and staff attentive.

A minor point but a toilet brush in bathroom would be an improvement. Also a bit disappointed that car parking was so very difficult- our car suffered damage there - at £10 per day expected something better.

Stayed he a few times when visiting our daughter who's studying at Newcastle Uni and living in Jesmond. Always a decent stay for the price, with friendly staff and adequate accommodation for just a couple of nights.

Disappointed that the hotel's car park management has now been given over to a private parking company. What used to be an additional bonus, free parking while staying at this hotel, is now chargeable at £10 per day.
