The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very helpful. Breakfast was served fresh. Location was almost perfect, near the center of the city. Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, etc. Must mention that the hotel is located at the top of a hill, to reach it by foot you need to go upstairs (over a 100 steps) and it can be difficult with the altitude, we had to take a couple of breaks every time we had to walk back to the hotel. It's a bit hard for taxis to get to the door, although some of them do it. We had to walk down to a main street to meet our guides and rides for most of our tours.
My only complaint is that there is no A/C in the rooms (at least not in ours) and even though Cuzco is chilly at night, we couldn't leave the windows open for the air to circulate and cool down our room because we were close to a street and there were people hanging out at night making noise. I didn't sleep well the days we stood there because I was either hot or the people outside were loud. No fault of the hotel or staff.

We stayed 3 nights here before starting the Inca trail. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds and a TV with English channels. The bathroom was also clean and the shower was great. The included breakfast was wonderful (you pick what you would like the night before and they bring it when you arrive to the breakfast room in the morning). They also made a packed breakfast for us which was ready at 4am the morning of our hike. The reception and kitchen staff were very helpful, lovely and accommodating. The surrounding area is also very pretty. Would definitely recommend.
Just a note that if you are doing a trip our tour group was unable to pick us up directly from the hotel as it is on narrow streets (we had to walk 10 mins with our luggage) so maybe just check this with your tour group before!

This hotel is stunning!! We stayed in two different rooms due to different reservations and both were perfect. The beds and pillows are really comfortable which meant for a good nights sleep! We stayed on the second floor and views from the balcony, both day and night, are stunning. The complimentary breakfast is really delicious too and set us up for the day. The ladies working there are lovely and make perfectly cooked eggs! The staff here are all really friendly and nice, also helped us to book a taxi to the airport on the way home. The stairs into the centre are a bit of a killer so be aware 😂

I have stayed in many 5 star hotels -- Ritz, 4 Seasons, etc. so I know what great hotels can be like. I wanted a more authentic experience in Cusco so I chose Atoq San Blas (as opposed to, for example, the Marriott). It is a wonderful boutique hotel in the best section of Cusco. Everything you want to see in Cusco is within walking distance. The staff is incredible -- true Peruvian hospitality. I had horrendous altitude sickness the first night and everyone was so concerned and helpful. (To avoid altitude sickness, I highly suggest Diamox or the slow acclimation starting in Macchu Pichu because once you get it, you are screwed). The well appointed room was lovely (photos are accurate) and the little garden courtyard, lobby and upstairs breakfast room are all welcoming places to spend some time. It is on a very quiet street, although please note you have to climb a steep set of stairs (it's the street, in fact) to get to and fro the sections of Cusco you will likely be visiting (sights, restaurants, shopping). I went in August so Cusco is quite chilly at night and my one complaint was that the radiator (which was quite noisy) is not enough to heat the entire room and they only have it on at certain hours. A small matter especially at the price point, and they provide plenty of blankets to keep you warm. If I come back to Cusco, I would definitely stay here although I might ask for a room on the third (top) floor (it's just one flight, because the lobby is on the second floor -- has to do with the pitch of the hill) to get some light/warmth during the day. They only serve breakfast (but it is delicious and very generous) but there are so many incredible restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk that it doesn't matter. They have a small selection of massage services (I had one - it was very relaxing). There's a small array of gift items that are competitively priced. I absolutely loved Cusco and Atoq San Blas was a key part of the...
The room was a bit chilly.

Wonderful and helpful people ! Rooms were comfortable and very clean . Location was good , a bit of uphill walking but we didn’t mind it . We stayed overall 7 nights ( before our 4days hike to Matchu Picchu and after ) .there was a problem with the water pressure just for a day but the stuff solved it within hours . Breakfast was generous , delicious with great coffee . Highly recommended!

Beautiful boutique hotel in a wonderful part of San Blas. The hotel staff were all charming and extremely helpful. The breakfasts were great. The room was clean with lots of special touches.
The Wi-Fi was a bit unreliable. To give the hotel credit, they have installed 4 separate Wi-Fi routers and every time I complained, they immediately restarted them and fixed it, but it was still hard to get through a Zoom meeting or Netflix show uninterrupted.

Atoq was our favorite hotel that we stayed at in all of Peru. The staff are so incredibly nice (when we arrived we had bad altitude sickness, the man in charge of breakfast showed us the different teas that could help us recover). The hotel is super clean and the breakfast is freshed cooked. No buffet with cold eggs. The showers are hot and they have nice heaters in the rooms that run in the mornings and the evenings. They have tea available in the lobby 24hrs which we drank alot of! The WIFI works great and they have multiple routers to connect to incase one is slow. Almost immediately after our booking the hotel contacted us via Whatsapp, to help us arrange a taxi from the airport. We happened to be in Cusco when the airlines shut down due to protests. The hotel was great about extending our reservations and the ladies at the front desk kept us up to date of changes that were happening within the city and airports. We weren't able to do many excursions because of the protests, however we were super comfortable at the hotel. They have nice little tables set up infront of the rooms and a great area on the ground floor with comfy furniture and nice plants and flowers, it was a great place to relax. The hotel is located in the San Blas area which is very safe and very quiet for any light sleepers. I am really going to miss this hotel and can't wait to hopefully come back some day.

All of the staff were so nice! They took care of anything we could need including taxis to and from the airport. The room was comfortable. We slept great! The water was hot and the water pressure was very good. Breakfast was delicious, more than I could eat each morning. We are vegan and they always had something or us or made us something special. I'm so glad we decided to stay here! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable ❤️

I stayed here twice and it was very comfortable and relaxing. The staff were all exceptional in being welcoming and providing good service. Breakfast was decent and again, the two people working there were extremely helpful.
Yes, there are several steps up from the main square to the hotel, but anywhere higher up in San Blas will be the same, if you want to stay in this historical area and enjoy its views.
