Great location and room size, huge and comfortable bed. Silent room. Great towels and cleaning. The shower was good, but some days at night the water wasn't that hot. The portable heater was great and very useful because it was so cold when we stayed in Cusco. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is very well decorated and pleasant. The room was big and cozy.

I suggest adapting the power outlets which are located behind the bedside tables, making it difficult to reach. The water in the shower was great and hot most of the time, but some nights it didn't heat as much, especially after 6 pm, which is a little disappointing since the city is very cold especially at night. We've noticed this is quite common in Cusco though, for some reason. Maybe the boilers aren't big enough. But overall the stay was great.

It is priced very fairly. The building is absolutely beautiful. The staff is nice. The neighborhood is amazing. Great location!

I know the price is low because tourism is recovering, but I would not pay more to stay here. I had a huge spider on my bed when I woke up the first day. They helped me get rid of it but did not discount the stay. The bathroom does have ants as another post suggests. There was no coffee one day I arrived at 9:30 am for breakfast and their coffee pot takes 4 hours they said. I only drink coffee for breakfast, so this was a disappointment. Hot water does not get super hot. There is no fridge in the room. The heater takes a while to heat up. Bring plugs that go into the wall 2 prongs if you have 3 prong electronics. They do not have adapters.

A decent-sized clean room with a good shower and comfortable beds. The hotel is in very good shape. This hotel is farther away from party streets, which we think is a much better location than the hotels that are closer to the main square.

I think we stayed there the night before the big celebration that was taking place in Cusco, and apparently, Peruvians start celebrating the night before, so at 3AM they started shooting fireworks and the orchestra started playing loud music :D I guess Peruvians just like to party :D

The location of the hotel was great, the breakfast lady Dowis and the guys at the reception, especially Rodrigo, who were attentive to our needs, and the cleaning staff, as we cannot forget.

Everything was going well until we ran out of water, but the experience of the trips made us forget the detail

The property was very clean and charming. The hotel provides a nice breakfast and the price is very reasonable. The building is very pretty. I had an accident while taking a tour (not related to the hotel) and I had to stayed in a hospital. The hotel was very accommodating and kept my things without extra charges. The people was very nice and understanding.

Nothing, but if you don’t like to climb, this hotel is in the Sam Blas area

They offered airport shuttle and reserved some great tours to Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was clean, comfortable and included Netflix. I especially liked the hot water and shower facilities. In addition, all staff members were friendly and helpful. They also provided breakfast boxes for early tours. Overall, it has an excellent location and is highly recommended A++

Great hotel in San Blas with great location, good breakfast and very friendly staff. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in Cuzco who wants a great base to explore the region! They will also store luggage overnight while you go to other tours and hikes.

the illa hotel was in the perfect location, within walking distance of all of the cool sites in Cusco. Our rooms were very clean and the service at this hotel is unmatched. Aaron went above and beyond to ensure that we had an amazing stay. He gave us a detailed map of Cusco and gave us a lot of recommendations on where to go and what to see. When we traveled to Machu Picchu at 3 in the morning, he had taxis ready for us and packed lunches for us! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Cusco!

The location, staff, breakfast, and bed were all amazing! The shower was hot. A great property overall. They kept our luggage while we went on a 5 day trek and also arranged a taxi to the airport.

The shower was a bit messy and would leak into the rest of the bathroom, although being hot made up for it. Also would love a stronger heater for the room given how cold it gets!

This place was clean and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. While it seems none of the hotels in this area have forced heating (it gets chilly at night), we were provided with a space heater. When we asked for an additional space heater, they provided it with no problem. The beds were super comfy with lots of blankets and the shower had hot water! (this is a rare first for me in S. America, to find hot water at a modestly priced hotel). Due to COVID protocol, there was no housekeeping but the staff brought us any clean towels or glasses or coffee cups upon request. Aaron kindly booked a day tour for us and also packed us "to go" breakfast for our days when we went out early on tours. The staff at breakfast was very polite. The location is in San Blas and a 5 minute walk to Plaza de Armas. There are lots of good restaurants in the area. Cusco feels very safe for walking around as as tourist. It's a old Colonial style and very charming.

The rooms are cold but you are so high in the mountains that it makes sense this would occur. The hotel does provide tons of blankets and space heaters to sleep comfortably.
