Hotel Pod Różą

The room was one of the best I ever had . It was the junior suite and it was massive in size + it had a tall ceiling which makes you feel like a Royalty. The bathroom was extra ordinary as well . Everything from the design to the bath and shower (we had both!) . The best part of this hotel, for me and my girlfriend opinion, is the spa. there are 4 different types of Turkish baths ,wet and dry sauna, ice cold pool ,and room temperature pool (small ones) , 3/4 different types of showers and everything is hand crafted and we'll designed , it is definitely one of the most unique experiences I had in an hotel if not the most.

The lady at the reception wasn't nice when we first arrived , when you just arrive to 5 star hotel you expect the stuff to be welcoming instead we felt like they are doing us a favor letting us renting the room for the night . This is true only for the first lady to welcome us ,all the other employees we're very nice and welcoming. Weird thing was that even though we carried 3 large bags and booked the junior suite ,which was quite far, we got no offer to get our luggage to the room . I personally didn't mind because I don't like people carrying my stuff and I'm sure that they would have helped us if we would ask that, but I expected from a 5 star hotel to offer this kind of service from past experiences.

Fantastic location, excellent staff, very high standard of general areas. Nice spa on site.

Bathroom needed a few extra features- ie a vanity mirror, hooks for robes and towels. Breakfast had a very limited menu, almost exclusively various egg dishes.

Overall, great hotel. Especially liked the ambience (skylight restaurant bar area, and ancient spa area in particular), and location (Florianska Street) was outstanding (just down the street from the main Old Town Krakow Square and St. Mary's Basillica). All staff encountered were very friendly and professional.

Only things we didn't like were the bathroom shower, pillows on the bed (either need more pillows, or provide pillows that are firm), and for some odd reason, we found tissues (a few days into our stay) that were hidden inside the wardrobe. While the overall bathroom was very nice, clean and spacious, the shower set-up was in a very deep tub (consider adding a grab bar for older guests) and slippery (consider adding a mat or some sort of gripping on the tub floor). The glass wall partition separating the shower from the toilet did not extend all the way to the back wall of the restroom, so if you're not careful on how the shower head is aimed, you can end up with water trickling out onto the bathroom floor.

The hotel and staff were fantastic! We loved our stay here.. the hotel is in a perfect location right by the Rynek Głowny (main town square) around which so much happens (tours start, Rynek Underground, Cloth Hall, jazz/piano clubs, good restaurants and coffee bars etc). The hotel staff were all lovely, welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed a special welcome as I was celebrating a significant birthday. The spa location is beautiful and calming, and we made good use of it each day. I enjoyed a very relaxing massage - and we loved the horizonatal showers. We definitely hope to come back before too long!

It was almost perfect! I had one niggle to do with the wardrobe and full length mirror, both awkward and difficult to use. I raised it with staff for feedback. If they had an alternative room to move us to, they would have done that.

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Pod Roza. I dare to say that it's the best hotel in town and I will most definitely put my efforts into returning here. My husband and I were assigned the most beautiful room with an amazing view of the main street in front of the hotel. The hotel facilities were impeccable. Beautiful and very sensual gym and SPA. Couldn't ask for a better location. The main market square is very close by. Starbucks, McDonald's, convenience stores, and a lot more are right outside the hotel's front door. We were living our best life there.

The only thing I can think of (and it is a consistent feature across many other hotels also) is the lighting in the bathroom. A lot of hotels have very moody lights. It makes it hard to do your makeup in low light. I am already prepared for that and always travel with a LED mirror. Also, having a full-length mirror would be a big plus. You should also be aware that taxis and ubers cannot drop you off right in front of the hotel. You will have to walk down the street for about a minute. The hotel might be harder to spot for the first time. It is right opposite Starbucks which is at the crossroad.

Whether I was exploring the historic streets, indulging in the local cuisine, or immersing myself in Krakow's vibrant culture, everything was within walking distance or a short ride away. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel instantly welcome. Their professionalism and attentiveness throughout my stay were unparalleled. They were always available to assist with any inquiries or requests, providing valuable recommendations and ensuring that every detail of my stay was taken care of. Their genuine hospitality truly elevated the overall experience. The hotel's interior was a seamless blend of modern elegance and timeless charm. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the design, from the tastefully decorated rooms to the stylish common areas. My room, in particular, was a sanctuary of comfort and luxury. Impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully furnished, it provided a serene retreat after a long day of exploration. The bed was incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep.

Hotel is located in very city center of most beautiful town Krakow, at 1 minute walking distance to central square. Parking your car is taken care of by hotel at secured car parking near by. The hotel is in an old but beautifully renovated building without ruining the beauty of the old building - as daly enough, often is done with renovations. Breakfast is very tasty, although I prefer buffet type of breakfast instead of a rather fixed set of food. Staff is very natural friendly in the restaurant and reception (although the man at checkin gave me the impression I disturbed him with something else, explaining the slight lower score). Rest of the staff was lovely. Hotel has excellent airco. Fantastic showers, beautiful decorated rooms. Don't expect Louis XIV style here.

There was nothing I did not like.

I liked the location the most, right in the middle of old city and close to main attractions. Personnel was very polite and helpful. And I also liked the combination of old and new on the dictation of the hotel. It has historic elements, but was definitely renovated recently.

We were travelling with kids, so had to stay in 2 separate rooms (of course we prefer one room for all of us, but I’m not sure if there are any). It was ok for us as we stayed just for one night. Breakfasts are perfect for adults, but set menu doesn’t fit kids or teens, it would be great to have some options.

I was sceptical as it had fewer reviews than others and wasn’t sure whether the photos were a true reflection but I was firmly proven wrong! The hotel is beautiful with the perfect mix of old and new and ideally located in the Old Town. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough. All for a relatively low cost, which would be far more in most European cities. Some reviews have mentioned the atmosphere but if you like a chilled, sophisticated and contemporary location, this is the place for you. Would definitely stay again and can’t recommend highly enough.

The WiFi was poor and the lack of ironing facilities in the room frustrating (the only way is to pay for their laundry service) however these are minor points.
