Hotel Unicus Palace

Location, hotel decor & spa. The staff were lovely & helpful.

The swimming pool was cold & house keeping knocking at the door to clean the room several times in the space of 1 hour from 9am while we were sleeping. The rooms could be more sound proof. On our first night, we didn't get much sleep due to the noise level from the room next door. They partied all night - we didn't complain because it was new years eve.

It's hard to imagine a better location than ul. Floriańska, just below St. Florian's Gate and a minute's walk from Kraków's unbelievable Główny Rynek. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the property is the perfect blend of classic styling and modern conveniences. And somehow, even though the hotel is in the middle of Old Town and all of its energy, our room was utterly silent, with no external noise intrusion at all.

The phenomenal location of the hotel makes driving and parking predictably tricky. Just be sure to read the clear instructions from the hotel ahead of time (this reviewer may or may not have done that) and you'll be fine.

Noise from the streets, very loud , had to have roof light open as we were too hot as air conditioning didn't seem to be working properly , radiators came on even when room set to 17.5. so sleep very disturbed by noise & temperature Upper bedroom again stunning but way to tooooo hot Asked for a fan but was not available staff apologetic said they would try to "adjust the system" but we didn't really notice any change. Also in upper room no mirror except for in the bathroom so trying to dry hair etc difficult

The hotel is perfectly located. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of delicious food and we loved the spa and were very lucky that no one else was using it at the time

There was a noisy karaoke bar situated on the street near our room which was near the front of the hotel and there was noise all night. The music stopped around 11.30pm but voices continued until early morning. We asked if we could move rooms as we hadn't had much sleep and they did find us another room on a higher level although still in the front of the hotel but luckily the noise was quieter. Another gripe was we had to wait ages for menus, service and our food in the Italian restaurant

Staff were very helpful. The location was perfect, and Spa facilities were great, and the hotel had that luxurious feel about it. 15 min walk from the main train station, which was handy, so we didn't have to worry about getting to and from the hotel. The beds were really comfy, and the Coffee Pod machine was nice.

It wasn't a quiet area as to be expected as it's located on a busy street. We heard some noise from our room on the 4th floor in the evening but nothing too bad, I guess. We couldn't open a window in the room in the day to circulate fresh air, which I like to do, as the room was all air con.

We loved the location of the hotel - in the old Town and a very short walk to the market square. The spa area in the basement was also lovely and a real treat.

There wasn't a comfortable hotel bar. When we arrived back in the evening and wanted to night cap we had to have a drink in the Italian restaurant downstairs. That restaurant was fine for eating in - but if you just want to relax at the end of the day it would have been nice to have a comfy chair rather than a hard wooden dining chair.

Everything was perfect with this Hotel, it's the best Hotel we've ever stayed in, nothing was too much trouble, staff are amazing and very helpful, Room was excellent we stayed in Room 404 it was perfect. Breakfast was lovely, great choice and everything to please everyone. Food in Hotel Restaurant was stunning. SPA OMG is a must, so relaxing after a busy day. Joanna on Reception was so helpful and helped us book our Tours to Salt Mines and Auschwitz, Hotel is central to everything you need, good Pubs, Restaurants. Would highly recommend! you will not be disappointed.

I have no dislikes, everything was perfect!

I don’t often write reviews but this was one of the best hotels we’ve been to, in terms of both the room and the service. I booked the King Suite Premium as a surprise for my girlfriends 21st birthday, and since there are 3 larger rooms in the historic part of the building I messaged the hotel and asked if we could be assigned one of these rooms. The hotel responded very quickly, and kindly assigned us a room in this part of the hotel. In the lead up to our arrival I was messaging the hotel to make certain arrangements and they were extremely helpful any time I messaged them. When we got to the hotel, the staff were really friendly, we were offered a glass of champagne on arrival, and then were taken up to the room. The room was amazing, there were happy birthday balloons above the bed and a bottle of wine on the table with a little birthday card, and then tarts were later sent up to us as a birthday wish from the hotel. The breakfast was really nice, although we felt there could have been a little bit more selection for the cold food. The spa was also great, and had a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna all available to use for no extra charge. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Grand, and we will definitely be staying here again if we come back for the Christmas Markets.

Great service,all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room we got was big,clean and beautiful. I think we got upgraded,that was a wonderful surprise. The breakfast was very good. We loved that we could relax in the spa after walking around in the city. Our room was quiet,make sure you don’t have a room to the Main Street. It’s busy. Great hotel. Thank you :-)

The spa area is missing something to make it absolutely perfect: Less noise from the water, Relaxing music in the background, Little bit warmer in the “salt” room, Some decorations to make it less sterile like light candles (batteri candles are fine) and some art, Possibility to order drinks and fruits.

Safe in room didn’t work when we got there, they didn’t have anyone to fix it that night so sent someone in the morning!!! Still couldn’t be fixed so after unpacking all our stuff we had to move rooms which was a bit frustrating!!! But got an upgrade on the room and a staff member helped us move all our stuff!!! Also the hotel bar closed way too early in our opinion, one night we came back for a drink just before it closed at 11 but it was already shut!!!
