Housekeeping people were nice and got us fresh towels, more coffee pods when we asked. Loved the fireplace and firewood in the cabin. Loved the cabin we stayed in and the grounds. Liked the Lodge as well...sitting by the fireplace. Some really nice staff for the most part.

Staff in general was nice. Except for one morning, my companion went to get coffee. The Lodge was locked and the girl up front (Victoria) walked away when he tried to open the door. Was told later that it was her first time opening and she didn't know how to open but instead of telling him that, she hid. Other staff members walked by him instead of saying tyo try the side door. When he went to get a latte (which was lukewarm that morning but usually good other times), he was told they were open from half an hour. And he said, "you all saw me there, why didn't you let me in/tell me there was a side door." No answer. This is not how hospitality staff should treat guests who paid $300 a night for a cabin. That morning/exerience was disappointing for sure.

Great location in the heart of Pfeiffer Big Sur park. Huge room (actually suite/cottage with living, kitchen, bedroom)

No wifi, terrible cell signal (one bar)

We loved being connected to the state park for hikes and beauty. We liked that there was an on-site restaurant. The room was cozy and cute overall.

Some of the staff were less than welcoming, as noted in many reviews. However, we had a good waitress at the restaurant and there was a friendly gentleman at the desk at one point. Our dinner at the restaurant was good; however, I did have to ask for a new salad as the first one came out with rotten spinach. One thing to note is that there was no soap in the room bathroom to wash hands!

Amazing location in the heart of Big Sur valley. Hikes from the doorstep. Good restaurant food. Bonus to find that the room with 2 double beds actually has a separate bedroom for one of the beds.

Lack of wifi so guests can disconnect seems a bit of a cop out in this day and age, but to be fair guests are warned in advance about lack of phone signal. Limited signal is available on Verizon from near the conference centre. I can appreciate the lack of a TV more. Although spacious, the rustic style cabins feel a bit outdated especially considering the price. Visitors to Europe’s Centre Parcs will notice this.

The location was excellent, bang in the middle of a forest/state park. The room was spacious and well laid out. The bathroom was a little tiny, but it was very clean. The restaurant on the premises served very good food and drinks. It was lovely to have a fireplace at the reception, where you could sit with food or wine, or just chill by the fireside. I loved the games kept in the rooms, we spent a lot of time bonding as a family while playing. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The skylight just above the bed meant we could not sleep in!

It was charming and rustic, but also very convenient with an on-site general store, restaurant, and gift shop. Also loved how it was right in Pfeiffer State Park with great hikes starting right off the property. Our stay also included paid admission to Pfeiffer State Park, Andrew Molera State Park, and Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The staff was great as well!

Cellular service and data is near nonexistent, but maybe I don’t dislike that so much as it allowed us to truly unplug and enjoy nature.

Good access to walks, great gift shop, loved being able to hang out by the pool and so serence and peaceful. i also enjoyed not having wifi and tv, great chance to log off.

The room had a terrible smell of bonfire and needed to be aired out, I got headaches from the smell it was so bad. Beds were also hard and there was no complimentary tea, coffee or a jug, for the price I would of expected that. Front of house was also not the friendliest.

Beautiful property with a lovely pool. Our family enjoyed the location, as it is nestled into a state park yet was centrally located to get anywhere in Big Sur in a short drive.

The road up to the cabins is a one car lane that is a bit scary if another car turns up the road.

Booked through 3rd party and was able to adjust dates prior to arrival & the ability to check-in early on a Sat when meeting family was ideal. Fathers 80th birthday party was an absolute success. My wife and I had never traveled to Big Sur and look forward to returning in August.

The check in staff.....our first impression....was not very friendly. We rushed to get there for happy hour (my birthday!) and they insisted we were too late although it wasn't yet 600. We expected a discounted (or free) glass of wine and a nibble, but instead were offered full priced drinks and appetizers. Since happy hour cost us an arm and a leg, we wondered why they weren't more hospitable! Since we paid a lot extra for a kitchen, it was a rip off to learn their "grocery store" had no eggs. When we arrived into both rooms/cabins, the smell of smoke from fireplaces was so overwhelming that we had coughing snd breathing issues that evening and all the next day.
