It a super modern hotel and very new, clean and the staff are fabulous. All the facilities you need like multiple pools (one heated) +bars and restaurants and a gym. The local area is however a bit barren and lifeless with many empty condos and partially built hotels and other developments. You can however take a free bicycle and ride for a couple of k's to the local food streets with great seafood. In the height of summer it may be raging, but in Feb the area was pretty deserted.

Halong is not really my thing and has many hi-rises and is very touristy (without the actual tourists). Probably still recovering from Covid. The hotel is however great if you need to be in the area.

Amazing breakfast, very clean rooms, comfy beds, great bathroom and views of Halong Bay. Staff were very helpful and would accommodate any request, it was a real luxury experience staying here. The pool was lovely and the gym facilities were brilliant. If you stay here- definitely go to the rooftop bar- it is a little expensive for Vietnam prices but is totally worth it for the experience of drinking amazing drinks whilst looking at the skyline!!!

We are very glad we stayed here as the experience was lovely, but it is clearly in an area of development across the whole of Halong at the moment. The hotel itself is completely finished and polished to perfection, but in the surrounding area there is building work going on. It didn't spoil our stay in any way, but it does mean that you currently don't have direct access to the beach outside the hotel. When this is finished though I'm sure the hotel will cost twice as much!!

A very nice, comfortable and clean hotel in a good location. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and well equipped with a mini kitchen and a large fridge/freezer. Very nice balcony with a great view of Halong Bay and the beach below. The breakfast was very good, and the Soul Bowl restaurant downstairs has a good range of inexpensive but tasty dishes if you don't feel like leaving the hotel to eat.

There is construction work going on nearby, in the beach area just below the hotel. It looks like they're very busy constructing a whole new village down there. Eventually it will become a very nice and lively area no doubt, but right now it's a construction site so this does impact the view slightly - but only a little bit, and I didn't notice any significant noise problem.

We had a very good experience with this beautiful hotel ! The rooms were spacious, clean and with a terrace with a wonderful view of the islands. The hotel also has 2 swimming pools - outdoor and indoor. A person who loves a good morning swim will highly appreciate this… The hotel staff is very professional and helpful. Always with a smile. Another thing that made our stay great was the hotel restaurant Soul in Bowl and bar On The Rocks. Delicious food and great service indeed ! I can definitely recommend this hotel. Very good value for money and they made our stay truly wonderful…Thank you and see you again in the future !

Very well maintained neat and clean property. Excellent bar at the rooftop. Polite and helpful staff. Excellent service and assistance by Jason from the front desk.

Lots of construction happening around the property. Views from hotel room were not great. Breakfast was very average. Not very exciting for people who don’t eat beef and/or pork. We also had a very poor experience with the 8 hour day trip of halong bay, that we booked via Citadines. The tour operator was very unprofessional, not friendly and sometimes outright rude with people who didn’t speak Vietnamese. We did not enjoy the tour and hoped we had done our own research before booking via the hotel. Other tourists on the tour had similar experience. The tour operators name is Huy loc. Please avoid this operator at all costs and book a luxury cruise directly via some other tour operator (it will probably cost the same amount or lower than what the hotel charged us).

Great view, very nice and spacious rooms. We booked one two-bedroom apartment and 1 hotel room for 6 people and we like the room a lot. The amenity for the apartment is very good with well furnished kitchen and washer-drier.

The buggy service is not available for everyone. Seem like the staff only used it for foreign guests. I was disappointed because I travelled with my mom and her friends who are all over 70 years old and we cannot get a buggy service for them to go to the beach. There is also no beach nearby. Restaurant was too crowded and chaotic. Wait time for elevator was quite bad.

Such an amazing hotel, staff were friendly and it had everything we needed. We had two adjoining rooms as we were 2 adults and 2 children, we had so much space and the room amenities were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for anymore. The swimming pool was nice when not sightseeing. Every evening we went for drinks at the rooftop bar, such a chilled vibe there, tasty snacks and lots of delicious drinks on offer. We ate in all the restaurants and they were all very good. We would love to come back and visit this hotel again if we come to Vietnam.

The hotel is very nice with beautiful interior design. The facilities (indoor pool, fitness center and yoga studio) are really good with gorgeous views. The room is small/medium size, nicely decorated, great view (city + water) and everything is new, clean and smells good. The staff is super friendly. Important to mention: my bathroom only had a nice bathtub (No shower or shower head). I enjoyed it, but this could be a problem for some people. Make sure to request a bathroom with shower if that’s your preference.

We loved absolutely everything about the hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and we wished we had stayed longer. We loved every minute of it. They have two restaurants (one Asian and one European) and the absolutely best rooftop bar (which also serves food). The most beautiful sunset can be observed from the rooftop bar. All restaurants served delicious food. Every time we left the hotel we simply wanted to go back. Our room was so spacious and comfortable (and sooo clean! - I'm a maniac when it comes to cleanness). We will definitely go back an will recommend to anyone visiting Ha Long!

The whole of Ha Long is still developing so you just need to enjoy the hotel and everything it's got to offer. This hotel is simply for relaxing.

The breakfast was tremendous, the choice of food was fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. The politeness, the ability to assist you, to answer any questions you may have. Each and every member of the staff, were so conscientious, knowledgeable about the area and the trips that were available to the guest.

There is nothing I did not like. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the food and service first rate, and I would have no hesitation in returning immediately or recommending friends stay there. Because of the great experience I had in staying in the Citadines, Halong Bay, I decided to book into the Citadines Hotel in Nha Trang this afternoon. I could not have made a bigger mistake in my life. I would advise people visiting Nha Trang to give this hotel a very wide birth. I find that that the room I have am now in, and which I booked yesterday, has cost me more than an executive suite over looking the ocean. This is just a total rip off by this hotel.
