Close to transport. Clean property.

Sometimes work was very loud, and started around 7am. Fine with me, but I think it's would be nice for people to be told that upon check-in rather than just on a board in the lobby just in case they miss that information. Good that they are "updating" as the bathroom was a bit dated, but again it didn't bother me too much, just noticed that it was not up to the standard the bedroom area was so was a bit disappointing for lack of a better word.

Accommodation was fine - however, not having a breakfast available was disappointing. However, I did find a place down the road that was more than excellent! Difficult for single older people to go out hunting for a restaurant (your Night Manager did suggest a place, which I unfortunately couldn't find - only saw it later in my stay whilst walking back to the hotel) If you don't have dining facilities, a map of restaurants in the area might be helpful!

As a 74year old, walking up McLaren Street to get to Miller Street and thence to the railway station was a bit tedious! I did initially have to get a taxi from Nth Sydney railway station - unfortunately the driver didn't know about (Rydges Nth Sydney/Miller Hotel) and although I had googled where it was, had to instruct him!

Room was good the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

The fire alarm went off twice and they said stand by then they said evacuate so we grabbed a few things and then rushed down the fire escape in the process I cut my hand and when we got to reception the woman at the counter looked at us and said what is wrong and I told her and she said it was a false alarm I said it would have been nice to have been told .May be they did say but we were in the fire escape rushing down the stairs no speakers in there I presume. Might be an idea.The television was small and lousy selection of channels.

The rooms where beautifully set up with wine glasses too. Bed was comfy. Staff very friendly. Value for money

Concerned with noise level where vacuums where going off at 6 am - way too early when your on holiday. Didn’t provide soy milk though I requested when booking and they said they would do had to go purchase to be able to have coffee in the room.

All facilities were very good. The staff are very helpful and co-operative. It was very nice to have an outdoor balcony and the western view is interesting especially at sunset.

A couple of the desk light/reading lamps were not working. Once again (this has happened on a previous stay) there was a fire alarm went off with very little info whether it was true or not.

the hot cold water in the shower needs to be upgraded. while taking my shower, the water would get very hot the balances itself out the freezing cold water. it took more then double the amount of time to shower but based and staff friendly and price, I’ll but my tongue.

Staff was friendly, accommodating and attended to any needs required.

Cleanliness was there for approx. nearly 4 weeks and in that time the room was vacuumed maybe twice. Had to ask for replacement cups due to not be cleaned. Also, when I first stayed, I bought a toilet brush to clean the bowel as it had not been cleaned.

Staff at check in and the restaurant were very friendly and polite. The location was perfect for my visit. The bed was very comfortable.

The door card/key wouldnt work all the time, I had to go to reception 3 times for them to reset the key card. Great pressure in the shower but the shower head could not be fixed to the correct position.

The room was airy and the view was gorgeous. Loved the comfy beds and the breakfast was great value. A very big cheer for the lovely comforting shower, great hot water and gentle but strong water flow.

The worst problem and it was not inconsiderable was the lack of pedestrian access to the outside. Hopefully this will be remedied with the completion of the renovations.

Large room space, very comfortbale amenities. Large windows and good curtains when needed. Very quiet location, secure parking at reasonable cost for Sydney. Walked to local restaurant to meet family, feeling safe in the area. Desk staff very efficient and smiling faces to greet on arrival. Late check-out was a lovely bonus too.

Cheaper parking.
