Hôtel du Danube Saint Germain

The location is perfect!!! In the middle of the St Germain area surrounded with cafes, boutiques, and easy access to taxis, metro . I always ask for a Prestige room, since I like the set up and bathroom. The room faces Rue Jacob but the double pane windows and thick curtains keep the room quiet. Breakfast is in a cute dining room by the courtyard and is very nice. The bed, pillows and the covers were super soft and comfy . Love it!!! Nice size closet and a safe to keep valuables. The bathroom is large and super comfortable. There is a water closet, shower with glass doors, jacuzzi tub and a large sink with a long cabinet to keep all toiletries comfortably. Fully loaded with Hair dryer, Kleenex, and a towel rack that is heated so towels are always dry and warm . NICE!!! The staff is very helpful. Very accommodating with all your needs from an umbrella,, an iron for your clothes, to a taxi for the airport.

Bathroom needs a magnifying mirror 7x on the wall for shaving, applying make up whatever your needs This is a MUST!!!!! This would make the room perfect

the ongoing painting and renovation work made our stay less pleasant. the inconvenience could have been made more acceptable if there had been a reduction in price

The bed at Hotel du Danube was like sleeping on a cloud. It was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on! This boutique hotel is in the heart of St. Germain. You can walk everywhere. The hotel has the most amazing and helpful staff. I have stayed here four times now and was happy to see that the room was totally renovated and the bath was luxurious. I always feel comfortable here, both as a single, female traveler and with my spouse.

The location is very convenient to several museums, the river, a lot of great restaurants, and mass transit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning very appreciated. The hotel is undergoing a renovation, and the updated sections are done well.

Sections of the hotel need and are undergoing renovations. Once finished, the hotel accommodations and amenities should be consistently nice. The hotel is a merge of two buildings, and the elevator joins the two at slightly different levels. The elevator is small and may be intimidating for someone with claustrophobia. This is not a negative issue, just something to note.

Location was amazing just across the river from the Louvre and a short walk from the luxury shopping and tea rooms of San Germain du Pre. Breakfast was a real bonus with fresh pastries and hot drinks, delivered to your table and fresh fruit and yoghurts etc on offer too. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. The hotel didn't have a restaurant but there were loads to choose from all within easy walking distance. With prices to suit every pocket. We walked from Gare du Nord to the hotel and it took a good 50 minutes but there is a direct line from the Metro station a couple of streets away which we used on the way back and it took around 5 or 10 minutes!

Manager Marco is very accommodating with all your needs including reservations. Alexandre is a treasure!!! Very helpful, wanting to please and make our stay excellent. Jessica at the front desk is sweet and efficient and Daniel at night, friendly and helpful. He called a taxi for us to take us to the airport the next day. The TV channels have CNN, BBC in English and RTVE channel for Spanish. In conclusion the BEST place to stay in Paris!!!

Excellent location near restaurants, bars and shops. The Louvre, Notre Dame and Le Chappelle within easy walking. We paid for an upgraded room that was well worth the price. Lift in building.

The location is perfect and it is extremely quiet since in St Germain, yet only steps to lively Latin Quarter. It is a very short walk to the river, Metro, D’Orsay and Louvre. We only needed the Metro a few times because of the great location.

Some furniture needs replacing. These charming French hotels have character, but some things annoying like dresser drawers that do not easily slide and room chairs too rickety to safely sit in. Most importantly, the beds were very comfortable I. the Superior rooms which had queen bed.

Good location within walking distance of major landmarks and a good choice of restaurants Room very comfortable - particularly liked the pillows which were extremely comfortable. Side bed lights perfectly situated. Breakfast choices were varied and enjoyable, couldn't fault it. Mostly continental but with the addition of cooked items if required.

Our stay unfortunately coincided with some refurbishment work being carried out during the day time. The noise was loud with the clanking of scaffolding and tools - this was the only downside to our stay.

The room was superb, in a peaceful and wonderful area. The service from the hotel concierge named Alexandre was above what we could expect. If we only had to deal with him we would have rated our stay 10/10

We got yelled at by the night concierge when we were coming back at 3 am in the morning after ouf romantic night out for ringing the bell too much. That rude and un polite person did not apologized and pretended that he got “scared”. If Alexandre did not do an amazing job and apologized on behalf of the hotel we would have escalated the issue. Not acceptable
