Hotel Richmond Gare du Nord

- The front staff was very courteous and professional. They not only accommodated our request for a room with balcony prior to arrival but also very accommodating during our stay. - the location is just perfect , easy access to all trains and local transit right from the doorstep - The view of the Gare du Nord was nice, although it can be a busy street below but it was great for us. -The breakfast offered is a great value at the price offered but it's not in the same building and in a quaint Parisian dungeon of their sister property around the corner with decent selections of continental breakfast

- the bath Shower stall has partial glass partition due to which water seemed to come out o the floors outside so we had to use extra towel, putting a full partition or a door might solve that. - the pillows were really squishy and flat and only one per person, could be multiple and a little more plush. The bed was firm but that worked for us. Just the pillows were uncomfortable - also there was no kettle in the room or tea/coffee facilities which was missed

* Very convenient location next to Gare du Nord train station (Eurostar). * Minimal staff but friendly enough. * Rooms are smallish and basic, but clean, with nice hot showers. Firm beds. Aircon and TV (both working). * Decent WiFi (free). * Breakfast (taken in the next door New Hotel) is a perfectly adequate 'continental' breakfast * Will look after your cases (for free).

* The neighbourhood (like around most stations) is a little dubious after dark. * The hotel's communal areas are tired and a bit grubby. * No coffee making facilities in the room. * Not great sound proofing between rooms.

Excellent location for a quick overnight stay (heading out from Gare du Nord)! Good bathrooms, AC that you can adjust (this was SO important for me because I often get too cold); strong wifi! The lady at breakfast was WONDERFUL!!! She is the reason I scored the staff so high, she was lovely...

A little rundown, but serves the purpose! Mainly, there are people who gather in front of the hotel and just play music loudly and talk very loudly or rap, which didn't bother me, but might bug others.

The accommodation was a surprise because we didn't expect too much from it. But it was very pleasant for the entire stay. The room was at the last floor, with window behind the main street, so we didn't had any noise. It's literally across the Gare du Nord. The room it's small, but clean and it has a big and comfortable bed. The bathroom was almost as big as the room, simple and clean. The towels was changed every day.

You have t leave the key every time you leave the hotel, but it is someone 24/7.

We stayed at this hotel as we had an early train the next morning. We got to the hotel and were given a room that was not ready so I went back down to reception to change rooms as it had not been cleaned and it was very small. The reception man did know much but the Manager then came and changed the room to the Superior Double room that I had booked. The room was a very good size for Paris and the bathroom was large and very modern. The room was very quiet and overlooked a small courtyard. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great position just across the road from Gare du Nord railway station and many cafes and restaurants are very close by.

The room was clean and it had all the basics. Clean bathroom, comfy bed, saver box which is not described in the room description.. Everything I needed and breakfast was pretty decent. The personnel were very friendly. We have a great experience :)

Apparently there is an internal policy regarding the card of the room. So you have to return it before going out... I didn't understand why, but also it didn't affect me in any way.

You can’t go wrong for location! Very close to the train station with the metro so you are able to go anywhere in Paris. you are also able to leave your luggage at hotel. although room it’s kept in is a little damp smell. the hotel was just what you need. if you intend to stay in hotel for long periods this is not the hotel for you. although if you just want somewhere to shower, sleep and just come and go with great location. this hotel is the one for you!

Is a little dated, although the location makes up for it!

Room was good separate bathroom. Hotel is in a good location near the station and restaurants nearby. Some people selling cigarettes and others in front of station detracted from the travel. Felt safe in hotel and travel across road to hotel. Hotel clean and good room and size. Staff good and helpful.

Had trouble with air conditioning but was probably my fault. Lift had some problems but was fixed quickly. Desk light needed rewiring.

My room overlooked the courtyard was v good. Windows that l could leave open night and day and fresh air. Plein d'air frais, fantastique. Staff very helpful

Convenient location for Gare du Nord, Wi-fi excellent, so convenient to train, metro buses. Hop on hop off .

We were very pleased and surprised by the experience we had in this hotel. It was much better than we expected considering the affordable price. We stayed two nights and it was nice and a safe place. The thing that is worth mentioning is the hotel was clean .The bathroom was new the towels and sheets were changed every day. Also the location was perfect across the street from Gard du Nord. We found good and cheap places to eat near the hotel. We would recommend it to everyone this hotel.
