Very nice and comfy bed, lovely clean and cosy room. Great value for money for a short term stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The car park is right outside the hotel, so very convenient and feels safe to leave your car overnight. Great location with the city centre only being a short drive away

The corridor on our floor was a bit dark and gloomy, could do with better lighting or a warmer coat of paint. Parking is not included in the price, and is on a first come first serve basis, so may not be great for peak times. We didn’t have any trouble finding a spot though, and there is another car park further down the road

great location for an even at mount smart stadium. we ended up walking after a problem with our uber ride and it was very manageable. the room was comfortable, and cool with a nice large bed. the bathroom was a bit pokey but perfectly serviceable. really liked the onsite bar and outdoor area and the breakfast buffet option was brilliant.

The bathroom was a tiny but small and reminded me of a cruise ship bathroom but this was no big deal. i was surprised they needed to take a deposit off my card when i had already paid the full accommodation price in advance.

Very comfortable with modern and up-to-date facilities. Surprisingly quiet given it was adjacent to the motorway. Excellent breakfast buffet. I appreciated that housekeeping was done in the morning which meant you could come back to a clean room mid afternoon.

The hotel is a bit isolated from the city centre making it less convenient for those without a car. On the plus, the hotel is near public transport and, if you have a car, has very convenient car parks. Note that carparking costs extra. I also felt checkin staff on Dec 24th did not really inform me of the facilities at the hotel and until my second day I did not know there was a gym or room service - nor how to access these services. My suggestion is that the hotel give staff a script to use when checking in new guests.

The comfortable bed and breakfast options..the bar had ample options with regard to its wine choices for a hotel of this rating, plus good baristas but I think it was the friendly, helpful staff that was the highlight really.

The plastic chairs in the rooms … wrong size wise for the space and not comfortable at all.. I was lucky to have had one room that had a smaller, armless, upholstered one that was way more suitable for the space and offered more comfort.

We stayed here after our flight was cancelled. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had the buffet dinner which was plentiful and varied. There was a choice of cooked or continental breakfast served from 6.30am which enabled us to have time to get to the airport.

The room and bathroom could have been a little bigger. Shame it isn't closer to the airport as it cost us $200 in taxi fees!

The room was basic but enough for an overnight stay. First day after re-opening so staff were lovely and pleased to be back to a working 'normal' Location is great for Ellerslie events, Ascot hospital and city centre. The buffet breakfast was FABULOUS. Lots of options. The 'pod' bathroom was interesting.

Being charged for $15 for overnight parking - how else do people get to this place other than driving - a bit cheeky. I get they want to protect their parking spaces - so have the barrier/tickets and then comp them. We were going back and forth to the event centre setting up school ball and had to pay for parking 3 times!!

Must say, the staff were friendly and helpful and I commend their positive attitudes and genuine care. Front desk, managers, bar staff, restaurant (breakfast) staff. All of them were good. Smile on the face, and genuinely looking happy to be there. I should endeavour to be more like them when I'm at work.

Fridge made clanking noises. I should have pulled it out and turned off the power to it before going to bed.

Staff were excellent , knowledgeable of Auckland , so helpful every time we saw each person at hotel. Ayden was so helpful showing us how to put apps on our mobiles ( we are the older generation) and he offered help & advice , as did the other staff who were so warm & friendly. We will be back & stay at Ibis / Novotel Elerslie again, we stayed at both seperate dates

Although its location was right on a busy, main road, the room was exceptionally quiet. I was not disturbed by traffic noise at all. the room was very clean. the bed was most comfortable with crisp fresh linen and the bathroom sparkled. Staff at the front reception were bright, bubbly and helpful

I didn't like the surprise of a 2% credit card surcharge. I was not informed of any extra charges/fee when I checked in....and I used a debit card

Customer service at checkout needs improvement. On departure it was unclear if staff were attending to customers or just using computers as they didn't acknowledge anyone. More people kept arriving to checkout and it would have been very helpful to be acknowleged and advised on what we could expect from the wait.
