A beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff and perfect location for exploring central Lisbon. Breakfasts were excellent and had a wide variety. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Room service menu very limited and difficult to find on the TV system. A case where a simple old-fashioned cards would have been easier! Beds are spring mattresses which was not the most comfortable but this is obviously subjective. We were on the fouth floor interior facing, with shared balconies which meant we had a few noise issues with neighbours who thought it was ok to sit outside talking etc till the early hours.

It’s in a great central location. The staff were friendly, welcoming and paid attention to detail, remembering names and how we liked our coffee in the morning. The building is unique and full if character, preserving historical features, fitted with high quality fittings and most comfortable inside.

The only reason I didn’t score the property a 10 was down to a loss of the small indoor pool due to a technical issue with water quality, which I understand things happen, however as part of our search criteria was for having a pool, was a disappointment. Two other points for constructive feedback are for the hotel to offer more of a balanced choice of evening meal, as the steak restaurant was great, but not you would only eat there once ad we did. The second point would be to add cushions to the outdoor seating, so guests felt more inclined to sit for longer and have another refreshment or course to eat.

The staff were wonderful. A group of energetic and committed young people put all of their commitment and skill into the job. They could be totally relied upon to do their best

The only remark I have is that I explained it was a very special occasion for me. I had chosen the hotel carefully for its view. it was my 80th birthday and we exchanged very friendly emails prior to our arrival about the matter. I was disappointed on arrival to be allocated a room( albeit large and comfortable ) right at the rear of the hotel with no view at all . The staff acknowledged my birthday with champagne and chocolates in our room! wonderful!

Pousada is a hidden gem yet extremely well placed for sightseeing. The Lisbon Info Centre, bus stops and Metro line are nearby and many main sights in old Lisboa are in walking distance. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with small things ie assisted with taxi on departure and took luggage to vehicle around the corner. I enjoyed a classic, stylish, spacious and quiet room (3rd floor) excuding calm and relaxation. I appreciated the coffee machine, continuous supply of bottles of water (hot weather) and little chocolate treats offered late afternoon. The marble bathroom gave off a cool feeling too (good shower over bath). The breakfast service was exceptional. Very attentive staff, great variety of interesting staples and gourmet foods on the buffet as well as a la carte offerings. I enjoyed a lovely dinner at their Beef and Wine restaurant (showcasing Portuguese beef) outside under the colonnades overlooking Praca do Comercio. Friends had recommended the Pousada de Lisboa and it was a great treat for my last days in Europe.

Tea could be on offer at the same time as the coffee machine but it would have been provided if I wished to have it.

We requested our rooms to be ready earlier than the 3 p.m. time because our flight arrived at 11 am. We were not promised but were surprised that the rooms were ready at 1 p.m. Very professional, informative and happy staff. We also asked for recommendations for a dining experience. They took the time to walk us to the restaurant! Great location. Just outside the hotel were plenty of outdoor restaurants, the square, and optional tours to take of Lisbon. We were taking a cruise the following day and were surprised that we could talk to our ship: Norwegian Viva.

No amenities other than the room. (No outdoor pool compared to other hotels) I also knew this before booking.

The room was a good size, beautifully decorated, and with quality linens and towels. Breakfast was an appetising choice of hot and cold buffet selections as well as an a la carte menu of specials. Located on the top floor, our room was very quiet despite the central location and the outside patio area was a real bonus. The pool was small but never busy and the sauna was the perfect way to relax after a day's sightseeing. All of the staff were very attentive and everything was immaculate.

The only drawback was the ensuite bathroom which had glass walls (!!) .... weird, and a real design fail for us and probably many others as a modesty curtain had also been installed.

Fantastic location and amazing breakfast

The rooms were well cleaned but housecleaning kept moving all our stuff without regard - We bought some drinks and they were cleared away from the room even though it was our 'property' and they also moved some earrings of mine and in the process lost one of them. They looked for it with us but I am sure they knocked it done the sink or hoovered it by mistake and then didn't tell anyone about it

The service was amazing .. the staff was so friendly and supportive! We had som travel issues we needed help adjusting .. from re adjusting our dates ( we were there for total of 10 days) to support with rental cars and late luggage.. they were exceptional! The property was clean… comfortable and perfect walking location to daily and nightly entertainment. I will book with this hotel again and refer many! Thanks mostly to the staff for making our family trip memorable!

The only thing I like to mention is concerning the housekeeping. the room looked perfect when I moved in but what I didn’t like is, that the same glass of water was standing at my bedside table for the next 3 days, it wasn’t cleaned or moved at all. The second thing was that there with 6 pillows on the bed what looked good, however during the night they got moved to the chair where they stayed for my whole stay. I think they should have been moved back to the bed after it had been made in the morning, small things but does make a difference!

The location is very convenient. The room was small but adequate. The bed was incredibly comfortable with a number of different types of pillows. Breakfast had a wide variety of foods available, which were quite good.

As in most places that I have stayed, there is an inadequate number of hooks in the bathroom. There were two of us staying in the room. Why is there only one hook? There were robes in the closet, yet there are no hooks to use in the bathroom when you want to hang it up. Is there room for hooks....YES, plenty of it, but only one? AND, as they should, the hotel encourages reusing your towel...how do you do that when there is no place to hang anything up???? It totally baffles me.
