Esqina Urban Lodge

Lovely staff and a very clean room.

Needed to have a mini fridge/ coffee and kettle in room for the price we paid.

Located right in the centre of the Baixa district, this charming, cosy hotel was in the middle of everything - an easy walk to just about anywhere you would like to go. Central, yet, still comfortable and quiet in the evenings. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, checking in via text to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was small, but that it to be expected in these old buildings, and I would definitely recommend a stay in this location for any singles/couples visiting Lisbon.

I'd prefer a room with a full bathroom, rather than the toilet/shower stalls, and handbasin in the main room, but I knew what I was getting, and it was perfectly clean and acceptable for the stay.

The staff is super helpful, friendly and nice. I always felt very supported even before arriving to the property, they answered questions quickly and upon arrival they did their best to make sure I was confortable until the check-in time. Location is unbeatable - just a few steps from Baixa-Chiado subway station, surrounded by many places to eat, shop and walk around. Bed is very comfortable, towels fresh and clean, hot water worked perfectly, Wifi is reliable, and there are power outlets near the bed to charge your gadgets during the night.

Even though the room was very comfortable and spotless clean, the layout is a bit odd. Toilet and shower are separated from each other and they just have a smoked glass door. The sink is just next to the bed. For a solo traveler it works just perfectly, but if you’re traveling with friends, family, couple, well, perhaps privacy might be an issue.

Everything was wonderful. Staff are excellent. Room m was very clean. Bed comfy. Loved the view of the street.

Room just a little small. Was hard to open luggage. And, the safe door would not close under the sink so banged my legs and tripped over it many times. I put a trash can there to keep it closed.

Wonderful, central location but still very quiet. Room was well appointed, and eco-friendly 😊. I had a medical emergency my first night there, and the staff went above and beyond every day after that to check in with me to make sure I was okay. As a solo traveler, that was so appreciated! It’s a little gem of a place, and I hope to return!

Everything was great

The room was very clean and very nice arranged with a new furniture and big, comfortable bed. The room was cleaned and the bed was made every day and in four days we had the towels changed as well. There was an elevator from the 1st floor onwards. The keypad on the door was a bonus so you didn't need to worry about forgetting your door key or card. An added extra touch was the bottle of still water brought in every day. The staff were very courteous and always ready to help. The location of the the property was right in the middle of Baixa which is downtown. Almost all the sites and touristy areas were nearby and walk-able.

The room had a window (natural ventilation), but my issue was that it opened towards an inner shaft and there was extremely loud noise coming from the adjacent air conditioning units attached to the walls of the shaft. So if you wanted a fresh air in to the room there was almost a constant noise at night. Also the separate shower space and separate toilet that had trendy large opaque glass door sometimes worked fine with two people sharing the room, but at times it felt like there is a lack of privacy.

The staff were excellent. They took our baggage early and held it to check-in time. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is well located to historical parts of Lisbon and the water front. There are many restaurants close with-in walking distance. We were here to start our walk on the Camino trail. The staff of the hotel sent me a message on our first day walking asking how things were going, very kind of them. I would highly recommend the Esqina Urban. Next time in Lisbon we will be returning to the Esqina Urban for our stay.

Nothing. Everything was fantastic.

We were placed in the Cosmopolitan Lodge given that their company decided to close temporarily the Urban Lodge due to the Covid Situation. The location is very nice, 5 minutes by walking from Rossio Square where you have the metro from the airport. The Staff is very kind, they have 0-24 h receiption, they are very helpful. They were super nice when they changed our booking to a superior room due to the replacement.

The bathroom was super large and great, but it was very cold even when we opened the door to get some heat by the air condition. It was a bit stinky also, but it's normal if your room is on the highest floor.

Amazing location, lively and central, close to the river and the beautiful Avenida Augusta. Felt safe staying alone, staff were super helpful. Excellent and clean. Air con a plus in 30 degree heat! Lovely welcome gifts were a nice touch !

A desk and chair would have been perfect

the location was great, and also the staff, all the girls we met from reception were lovely and helpful. I loved the minimalist style of the rooms as well.

The first room we got was too small, barely any room around the bed to even open the cabin suitcase, but it was ok as we were only staying for 2 nights. I must say that for our second night we got upgraded to a deluxe room due to a problem with our sink and that was lovely! thank you
