The superior room was really well designed, nice overall hotel vibe, clean, comfortable and spacious, with all the necessary amenities in the room, like a tea kettle, coffee, wifi, fridge, etc. Location was also very convenient and central to some great restaurants, cafes, attractions and shopping! The Brown's Bistro downstairs also has a really great breakfast and bistro menu. If you're looking for a moderately priced, delicious meal with attentive service, you'll get it here. It's also right below the hotel in the lobby/patio so it's very convenient when you have a busy or long day and you don't feel like searching/walking far to find somewhere to eat. Staff are also super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place and will be staying here again when I come back to Lisbon!

Nothing - everything was great!

Everything. The room was gorgeous. Love how it was decorated. The bed was comfy, the shower was big. Lots of light in the room. Photos are accurate. I felt very much at home. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The dining area was cozy and inviting. And the food and drinks were delicious. Very close to everything- metro/train and sights to see!

A few more clothing hangers would be nice. I was traveling for a while and needed to hang up many things. Thankfully, the staff did get me additional hangers. My luggage was also lost the first day- never made my flight, and Inez.(sp?) was so kind to give me a toothbrush and toothpaste.  It would be nice if there were a place to put cosmetics and such somewhere in the bathroom. But really no complaints! I’d stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you!!

This is one of the coolest hotels I have stayed at. The downstairs lobby / restaurant / check in experience is beautiful and the experience carries into the room. We really enjoyed the bluetooth Marshall speaker provided in our room. The four poster bed was very comfortable. The location is superb. We could easily walk to all the sights and drop back in if we were too tired or needed water or a bathroom. The staff were also very kind and offered us a delicious welcome drinks. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Browns Boutique Hotel and I would recommend to everyone.

There was a faint sewer smell in the room / from the bathroom so keep the door closed and the air conditioner on and you'll be okay.

Brilliant position , all the staff were wonderful from front of house to housekeeping , booked a superior room , very comfortable , plenty of room , bottle of wine , spotlessly clean . Bar downstairs had good food options , drinks cocktails , staff very helpful .. because of this we decided to eat breakfast outside the hotel , instead of going for breakfast service in the adjacent hotel just the corner. Lobby had a great ambience so great place to return from an evening out in the city for a drink/ cocktail . The taxi service recommended by the hotel I can highly recommend , they very professional and prompt .

Excellent corner room. Very well designed with area for luggage and robe. Large reception area, with great bar was a winner. Every design detail was an interior design treat. The welcoming cocktail set the scene for our stay. Mostly the staff were excellent, friendly helpful, remembered who we were and never just giving the tourist spiel. Lovely casual atmosphere atmosphere in the formally designed bar area. Delighted to see a family put two tables together and play cards! I was not aware of the Brown's Hotel Chain. I hope you are in more places than just Lisbon?

One staff member was struggling with my enquiries in English, but tried to be helpful. Only a minor thing in a memorable stay.

The staff were super helpful and consistent. My view of the castle was outstanding and the room was lovely - nicely decorated and clean. I arrived early due to my flight at the crack of dawn and they checked me in early on the admin side and looked after my bag so when I arrived back at the actual check in time, after exploring the city - they just handed me my key. They had already put my bag in my room. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I stayed only one night in Lisbon as I was travelling onwards. I was super tired and the staff seemed very respectful of this - it is so nice just to get on with things and not be bothered. The Bistro had an excellent toastie to keep me going when I arrived after 12 hours of travel, in the evening a nice ham and cheese board with wine and pastry in the morning. Perfect location for a quick tour of the city whether you are new to the city or returning to visit after a decade like myself.

More instructions in the room on how to use things. I couldn’t figure out what one remote was for, how to keep the lights on with the key removed and struggled with the coffee machine - which is a ‘Me’ problem ha! I couldn’t use the shower for ages as I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on - and my pride took me too long to call the reception to ask how haha! Old buildings in Lisbon are loud - you expect some noise and hearing pipes. I bring earplugs as standard, but some might not like noise (I question why you are visiting Portugal if you don’t like noise) all of this is not insurmountable - and is expected in beautiful old buildings :)

Very small and unique. Did not have a chain hotel feel. The food was good, the staff was great and the room was perfect for just me. The location in the heart of everything was also great. It helped that it was just a few steps from the Metro. Loved the lounge and the complimentary cocktail and bottle of wine in the room.

My view from the room - I faced the back of the property so I saw generators, units etc. and the smell of hot grease from a restaurant when I opened my window at certain times-not always . It could be pretty noisy on the street side when the garbage trucks came.

Excellent location, very close to public transport options and sight seeing destinations. Lots of shopping and food and drink options very close. Easy walking accessibility to lots of highlights. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they could not have done more. The room was beautiful, a very high standard of decor and furnishing. including a mini fridge, plug in speaker and mac computer. The hotel bar and breakfast were great. We received a free welcome cocktail on arrival and were gifted a bottle of sparkling wine in our room for my partner's 30th birthday without having mentioned this directly to the hotel. Nothing was too much for them.

Our only comment would be that the room could have been better soundproofed as we were able to hear our immediate neighbours above and either side in the mornings.

Great location, very cozy hotel, value for money

The hotel is in a brilliant location, a perfect little boutique with a tremendous team - from receptionists to bar staff, waiters and cleaners, all went out of their way to be helpful, to get to know us and to respond to our needs. Our room was light and airy, very comfortable and delightfully designed. Everything was spotless, the shower was one of the best we’ve experienced in a city hotel and the bed was super comfy. The bar was delightful, perfect for a nightcap, and dinner recommendations were terrific.

Breakfast in the adjacent sister hotel was fine, and had we only been staying for a couple of days would have been perfectly acceptable. But by the fourth day we were desperate to see something new on the buffet which didn’t happen. While the en-suite bathroom had a terrific shower the light levels were extremely low making it very difficult for shaving or makeup.
