ibis budget Dundee Camperdown

We paid £36 for the night and had very few expectations as it was a simply a stopover. However, the room was very comfortable and much larger than expected. The staff were very friendly on check in and check out. We looked out to the back of the property so there was a little yard space which for the price was perfectly acceptable. I don't imagine any view is "beautiful" but at the price we paid it was absolutely fine. It was a short drive into the city to use ncp car parks for the day, so it was actually better than expected as it wasn't as far out as expected. We would stay here again.

The bathroom needed a little extra tlc possibly due to hard water stains, but again, at the price point perfectly acceptable.

Staff exceptional; helpful, friendly, kind. As a solo traveller I felt very safe here. Location perfect for what I needed. Car park directly outside so no dragging luggage far (I had a lot as was in Dundee for a training course) Despite close proximity to A90, the traffic noise wasn’t an issue for me at all.

Fixtures and fittings such as carpet, shower curtain and base of bed - whilst very clean and tidy- were tired, damaged and in desperate need of replacement.

Location ok, room spacious ok. Service excellent. Blair the receptionist was very helpful and requests dealt with straight away. Made our stay more comfortable.

The road into the Hotel was very bad making it very unwelcoming. We now understand that Ibis has taken over a Travel Lodge. Our room was clean from the skirting boards up. Bed, Bedding and towels good. The carpet, bathroom floors were really bad and not the cleaners fault as it all needs to be replaced.

I didn’t have the breakfast. My choice. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Suggesting eating establishments for me locally as weather bad and also I didn’t know the area.

The SIGN. I drove passed it x2. Subway had a large sign which I think IBIS could tap into as your little sign is lost. Drive passed before you see it. The carpeting is a bit tired but quite adequate. I am sure in time all rooms will be updated but I was quite happy .

we liked the friendly staff especially the Manager, she was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

the only thing i still don't like is : due to severe family reason, we have checked out earlier than planned, the Lady Manager made all the check-out with information to receive a refund for the period we did not stay BUT u till now i did not receive my refund UNFORTUNATELY VER DISAPOINTED

The price was very attractive and very good value. The rooms are a little tired looking and basic but this is reflected in the price and therefore expected. The bed was very comfortable and there are places to eat and drink within 10mins walk. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again.

For the price it there is nothing that justifies a negative comment.

Breakfast was this cute little hamper of a croissant and cereal bar with a coffee with a fruit more than ample, the room was very spacious. Unfortunately our car had to go in for an urgent repair and we found ourselves stranded so it was quite refreshing finding such good accommodation with the Ibis Hotel. Even though it is on the main road it was quiet and managed to get a good nights sleep.

The breakfast was presented in a small bag and contained yogurt, cereal bar, croissant with butter and jam, fruit juice and an apple. There was also a choice of tea or coffee. A good start to the day! The location of the hotel was off a busy dual carriageway next to a Subway and a petrol station. Not to my liking.

The room was very hot and I had to switch off the heater and open the window. Other than that, I slept reasonably well in a good sized bed.

The price was really good value, the room was a good size - nice big room, and bathroom and tea making facilities. The staff were really friendly and helpful, getting us a bottles of water and advise on where to get a bus

Signposting on how to get to the hotel, as the hotel is on an industrial estate it wasn't the easiest to find the way in.

ME & MY SON HAD A FANTASTIC STAY BEFORE TRAVELLING BACK TO THE ISLE OF MAN! THE ROOM WAS SPOTLESS & WELL AIRED & EVERY STAFF MEMBER WERE SO FRIENDLY! DEFINITELY VALUE FOR MONEY!

FOUND ONLY ONE FAULT & THAT WAS THE SIZE OF THE BATH! I HAVE ALWAYS PREFERRED A BATH TO A SHOWER!
