Mondo Hotel

I stayed at the Mondo Hotel for work commitment, the staff were very helpful when booking and during my week stay and and also very pleasant, the room was a great size with great comfort, I didn't manage to have breakfast as I was up early every morning before service and didn't arrive back till late, but I did manage to have lunch and an evening meal on one of the days and it was perfect. The Wi-Fi was great as I needed this for work and had an excellent connection. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and when next in the area I would gladly book again.

I have nothing to complain or change

Check in was great as we advised we would be arriving around midnight and the 24 hour check really helped us by taking the pressure off. Location was brilliant and close to everything that we needed. Parking was great as it was secure and right by the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was that of a very high standard and great value for money.

Restaurant availability was limited and we had to wait in our room until a table was available even though we tried to book earlier. I appreciate that they serve food to the public but perhaps they should have tables reserved for a limited time to give the guests an option. We didn't fancy having take away food and eat it in our rooms so waiting until we got a phone call that there was a table ready.

Breakfast was very good with good options and quality ingredients

It would have been great to have a bigger room but understand this can't be helped but this apart everything else was great .

I was unfortunate enough to break my heel bone at work while staying at the mondo hotel and the staff after seeing me injured and on crutches couldn't help me enough they were fantastic and went over and above standard procedure and I can't speak more highly of them all. They made my stay there so much easier and comfortable than it otherwise would have been as I had to stay there for a few days after my accident before the job was finished and I could get a lift home. I would recommend anyone to stay there.

First visit to the Mondo Hotel. It was great from the first step through the door to our room. The place was clean so was the room on the 3rd floor and the restaurant too on level 1 very nice. The nightlife is great with plenty of pubs & clubs around, used Justeat for a late night snack and it was delivered to the reception and not to the room.

The room was freezing on arrival and was told because the booking was made an hour ago but still could have made the effort I think, the hot water was an issue as it took longer than usual to heat up in both shower and sink, and the toilet doesn't flush properly ie pushing button 2 to 3 times to get anything cleared.

I liked that there was accessible safe easy parking on site. it was well lit and had security. The hotel Reception staff were so very friendly and check in/out was simple and efficient. The restaurant food where I took lunch was amazing. The quality of the food was excellent for the price. The waiting staff were very kind, friendly and efficient. I didn’t feel rushed and I didn’t feel left unattended. Credit to the Chef too for the Christmas dinner. Really tasty hot delicious food. The Resturant looked festive and the fire on made it look cosy. it was very welcoming.

unfortunately the lift broke down so cases from the 3rd floor were hard going. But these things happen and it was fixed quickly.

We stayed in a Club King Room and the facilities were excellent. Comfortable bed and pillows, nespresso coffee maker and the usual (and wonderful) Tunnocks Wafers. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was fabulous - great atmosphere and very busy for a Tuesday evening - apparently very popular with locals and I can totally understand why. Food was excellent and the service fabulous also. Breakfast there the next morning was equally good. We will be back.

Nothing much we didn't like - slight criticism is how thin the walls are - we could hear everything from the room next door and thought it could be an issue into late evening but thankfully it stopped.

It is a small hotel attached to a popular restaurant and provided a great place for a stop over on the edge of Glasgow.

I was a little confused when checking in. The main front door is for the restaurant, and the hotel check-in was effectively in the basement, requiring you to go back outside and down some more steps. To be fair, though, there is a lift that would make reception accessible, but it was not immediately obvious. Just ask if you need it.

Room was a good size, clean and well equipped with coffee maker and kettle, 2 very nice chocolate biscuits were included too. Parking is easy and ample. Evening dinner in the restaurant was superb, service slow, but the food made up for it. Check in and check out experience was very good, both staff members very polite and helpful.

Nothing, all was very good and great value for money

The hotel was spotless and reception could not have been more helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, modern and with great showers.

Top marks were lost due to the fact that in spite of a lovely ambiance and good food, the staff’s attitude to closing the restaurant is somewhat off putting. It is made quite clear that it closes at 10 o’clock and the staff show their anxiety to clear away from about 9.30, a situation which is both intrusive and slightly uncomfortable.
