Great budget rooms, bed was comfy and lots of extras in the room I didn't expect considering the price! - shampoos, conditioner, tea, coffee, hairdryer. Rooms were warm, light and comfortable and pub downstairs was cozy. Staff member was really helpful and friendly. Convenient being able to park so close and to come and go from the accommodation separate to the pub. Even though the bathroom is shared, there was a sink in my room which gives you the privacy for a face wash, teeth brush etc. if needed so you don't have to go to the main bathroom.

Bathroom main light wasn't working, but I just popped the mirror light on. Everything else great!

Lovely homely pub with nice staff and atmosphere food very nice . Accommodation clean and comfortable .

Breakfast was a little over priced I thought they full English at £10 would include tea coffee and orange juice but that was extra no cereal either .

Warm and unfussy welcome. Very comfortable small room at an excellent rate.

Not a criticism: but worth noting that breakfast items (inc. coffee and orange juice) are individually charged, including refills.

Due to personal illness we hadnt had a holiday this year so we have been booking short stays or city breaks as commitments allow. Having never been to the Rutland area we booked 3 nights at The Boot Inn, particularly because it is dog friendly. We were more than impressed with the reception from the staff and the quality of food on offer in the bar. The Sunday Lunch was outstanding with Beef properly cooked and pink in the middle, not cremated as is usually the case

The room was a decent size but would have benefitted from a table and chair rather than the small dressing table which was more decorative than functional. The only gripe I would have is having to pay extra for a cup of coffee and orange juice with my Full English Breakfast. At the price charged, I think this should have been included, as it wasnt made clear on the menu that these were extra.

The pub itself is lovely, good range of drinks and lively atmosphere - friendly staff and customers. The room was superb and comfortable, it was clean and tidy and had all the usual products / necessities (except a hair dryer, not a problem for us but for anyone reading this take one with you :) )

Only minor things, doors and floors slightly loud in morning with people entering and exiting rooms and the bedroom has a suitable blind but could be improved with curtains too to black out the room. We didn't eat at the pub so can't comment on food options!

Room was very nice. Clean and comfortable staff very helpful and friendly.

No info in the room how to contact someone in a emergency. We had no hot water sunday Monday and Tuesday morning. Most things on small menu not available sent to another premises who also had no food. Breakfast not available as we arrived to late Sunday night to book it. Simple info sheet left in the rooms with info on contact numbers, places to eat, local amenities would have improved our stay and got themselves a 5* rating

Lovely little pub with friendly and helpful staff. Set in a lovely village in a beautiful and interesting part of the country. Overall rating would have been 'EXCELLENT' if the menu had been more diverse - what about just adding Pizza and Fish and Chips?

The food we had on our first night was very good (US themed: burger and a loaded sub. The chips were superb), and I said as much to the chef. But we would have struggled to choose a meal on a second night. Everything else was great. Thank you.

It was a really quiet place, not sure if I picked a quiet night. I was able to check in early. It's a good base for a night stay. Even though it is a shared bathroom it was clean.

Whilst I checked in early the guy rushed through it all and I couldn't remember the WiFi password so I don't know if the WiFi was good. I sent a message about an early check out asking where to leave the key and then again when I'd checked out and heard nothing back. Assume it was fine.

Location was perfect, very quiet, lovely to be able to have the bedroom window open all night. Hosts were lovely, very inviting and friendly, service was exceptional, food at dinner was fresh and tasty, my squid was really good. Had a very good pint of draught Guinness. Lovely atmosphere in the pub, we took our dog and it was a perfect setting for him. Had the full English for breakfast which had the tastiest whole mushroom and very good bacon, scrambled egg cooked perfectly. It was lovely to be offered the final bill to check before payment rather than just being told the amount which so often happens. We had a really nice stay and it’s obvious that this is their intention, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

The room was very cozy and the staff was extremely arranging considering how unpredictable our schedule was. The room was nicely decorated and stylish. Nice view on a little church. There was a kettle with tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Nice powerful shower. Separate toilets. Recommended stay.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but if you don't drive, add taxi money in your budget and book them in advance.
