Liked the location in a quiet village. The bar and restaurant were superb with great selection of ales and the locally sourced food was tasty. The on-site smoke house with home made sausages, salami etc. added a unique twist to the menu. After we ordered the charcuterie board for starters we could hear the salami and ham being freshly sliced. A unique experience for us! Breakfast: Fresh eggs from the on-site free range hens for breakfast were awesome and had very very orange yolks. I'd say if you were looking for a gut-buster english breakfast you would be disappointed, but it more than made up for it with quality. The home-made sausages were delicious and meaty without being fatty. The staff were helpful too, as we had arrived on bikes which needed secure storage. The staff were understanding and found a good safe spot for the bikes.

We got in at about 5pm, and the bar opened at 6pm which was a bit late for us as we had cycled in and we were very thirsty (it was 25 C and roasting!). Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to have had a chilled beer in the beer-garden to relax before unpacking our gear. Maybe a mini-fridge in the accommodation reception with a couple of soft drinks for each resident would have been nice?

Set in a quiet location, the staff were very polite, accommodating and professional at all times. The bar/ restaurant areas were very clean and well presented. The food was delicious and the menu was somewhat different??? But in a good way. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very clean , my only minus ( being a bit picky here I know) but the shower, although nice and hot, was not that well positioned. Making it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy. The owner was very helpful and down to earth. We would certainly recommend staying here, and if we are in the area again, will do so ourselves.

Friendly and accamdating staff, nothing to much trouble. A great atmosphere. The food is top-notch and generous. Locally sourced and a list of suppliers and their location in relation to the Kings Arms displayed on a map of Rutiand Water, which is just a mile or two away. The location is fantastic, relaxing, and peaceful. An antidote to the hassle and bustle of modern life. Very clean and well maintained. Ample sized car park owned by the venue. Excellent reliable WiFi. Good value for money. Recommended.

Not Apllicable. Everything was fine. No issues.

A last-minute booking which turned out fine. A three-bed room in a pub annexe, quiet and adequately spacious with traditional furnishings and comfy beds and sofa. Wet-room style bathroom. Room a bit cold on arrival, but adjusted heating and it was fine. Easy self-check-in arrangements. We chose not to have meals there, but menu looks good. A very pleasant village setting, a few miles from Uppingham and Oakham, peaceful and comfortable. Plenty of parking, easy to unload to downstairs room (other rooms were up one storey). Fine for what were were seeking.

The room did have a slight, faint smell of damp on arrival; heating not full on and windows basic, so perhaps an ongoing issue, or just because it was late winter. I don't personally like wet rooms, but it was fine as it was. Given the reasonable price, these were acceptable and minor issues.

A really impressive and homely property with lots of character. The room was hugely spacious and the bed was huge and super plush. One of the major selling points of the place is the onsite restaurant - they offer some of the most innovative and local menus. The hotel kindly gave us a bottle of wine on the house to celebrate our mini moon.

Wifi didn't work for our entire stay, which was fine as we wanted to switch off but if you needed access to take calls etc, it would have been really stressful. Secondly on the first day our room wasn't cleaned - which again not super concerned by but it's not ideal.

Location, location, location. Wing is a picture postcard village with an interesting history located near to Rutland water and its leisure facilities. It was the annual scarecrow competition when we stayed .The restaurant and rooms are located in buildings of historical significance. The dining menu has some different dishes from locally sourced produce.

Restaurant closed Sunday pm but it was to give staff time off. Given difficulty recruiting in hospitality sector understandable.

lovely location, good food and a great breakfast and beers

when we informed one of the staff the shower wasn’t working was told that it had been forgotten about and we would “have to use bath” and he left quickly. I’m not able to use a bath due to mobility issues but when I explained this to another member of staff an alternative room with a working shower was made instantly available for me to use, bit inconvenient, but a great save by way of service (thank you). If the hotel had been full then this would not have been an option.

Brilliant meal on Friday night. Sadly, breakfast from 08:30 could not be enjoyed, as our son was competing in a two day sailing event at Rutland Water, where he had to register at 08:30. Nevertheless, the host was kind enough to provide cereal in the room, to get him going !

Nothing really - great room, comfy bed, good shower (bathroom could have had a bit more light for 'Make-up' purposes).

Location lovely.Room comfortable.Complimentary water, tea etc plus toiletries Menu sourced local produce- smokehouse sounded interesting

The water in the toilet ran continuously. Restrictive breakfast times- I knew from the website and as I had an early start brought my own. Having squirrel on the menu.. not for me! In fairness,I was going out to eat though.

Excellent quiet location, loved the size of the room and the bed was really comfortable. Dog friendly, even had a bed and treats for the dog.

Being very picky but a bit more tea, coffee, milk etc in the room, especially on a Sunday when the bar and restaurant are closed an no one is around.
