The Bridge Hotel

The warmest welcome I've ever received. I arrived early and was able to put my bag in before check-in. I was offered green tea and a biscuit, I've stayed at 5-star hotels and have not been offered this before! There was also fruit (oranges and apples) you could help yourself to in reception together with sweets and biscuits. My room was ready before 2pm but they cannot guarantee this. I had a single room as I had a meeting at The Ministry that night which is a short walk away. In the room, there was an apple and an orange, which were delicious, a packet of biscuits, tea/coffee together with a bottle of water. There were the following in the room but I didn't use them, TV, iron/ironing board, safe, bathrobe/slippers, hair dryer & WiFi. I used the fridge for items I had purchased at the Tesco Express which is just down the road and the kettle for my morning tea. The Mercato Metropolitano is close by too which is a large open-plan eatery (you can't take single-use plastic in with you but you get it back when you exit) with many different food vendors. I walked from the Elephant & Castle tube, which was a short flat walk. Their aims are to provide you with a warm and friendly atmosphere and a home-away-from-home experience and they certainly deliver on that. They offer a 10% discount to returning guests. If I need accommodation in this area again I will 100% use here as good value, comfortable bed and such friendly, warm staff. I was sent on my way with a bottle of water and some more biscuits which was a lovely touch. Thank you, Mohammed and the team for an enjoyable comfortable stay.

Could have been cleaner as some dust on the surfaces but as my friend pointed out no one could meet my OCD standards. I raised this at the front desk and they were extremely apologetic, explaining that someone should be checking the rooms before release and they would look into it. The walls were thin (I think that's everywhere though) so I could hear next door's alarm and the hairdryer but with the 11 am check out I got more sleep.

Lovely helpful staff, couldn't do enough for us, great location for sights we were there to visit. Close to shops for food supplies.

Bit of a water incident from upstairs but manager was on it immediately and resolved quickly. They are doing some bathrooms updates so unfinished elements. Neighbours were rather noisy thankfully only stayed one night.

Hotel is well located. Not fancy or anything but it has everything you need. Shower is comfortable, owner is very nice and makes sure you have everything you need. Bed is also comfortable to sleep in.

Nothing really, just bare in mind (single) rooms are quite small but not bad!

Excellent location, 3 underground stations local and buses close by too. Owners and staff extremely pleasant and helpful. They are planning some renovations to basement to bring back breakfast area 👍🏻👍🏻 Meantime, great breakfast out front door and straight along to cafe at end of street. Definitely be back.

I especially liked the amount of rubbish on the floor. And the wonderfully pretty stain on the wall. Above all, I liked the chicken in the fridge.

A great little hotel in a really convenient location. Unbelievable price! The rooms are quite basic, but have everything that you need - including a fridge, which is a great bonus. This is my second stay at this hotel (for work) and I will no doubt be back again!

Staff were very welcoming, we were offered drinks (juices &bottled water) anytime we were leaving/entering the hotel. Ironing board(+iron) mini fridge, hairdryer and tv in room all great. Bed was very comfy. Bathroom was very clean, tiling and facilities looked like they were brand new. Location is very good with two underground stations each around 5-7 mins walk away, bus stops also very close. Beautiful St George's Cathedral for Catholic mass just up the road. Loads of attractions within 15 minute walking distances through streets that felt safe to walk through, even at night.

Room was tiny and there was no wardrobe, however there were some 5 or 6 hooks on the wall and a couple of hangers for clothes. Wifi was free, and though we managed overall, it was not very good, a lot of the time video calls home where frozen and jerky and simply using google was a little frustrating at times.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. The bed was super comfy and in addition to the complimentary tea and coffee, a bowl of fruit was left in the room for guests. I could have helped myself to more at reception if required too. Nice touch. It was a 15-20 minutes walk to the South Bank Centre. Easy enough and plenty of amenities close by.

I had a downstairs room and it was noisy. I was woken at 5.45am by someone talking on the phone outside, very loudly for at least 20 mins. I stood on the bed, opened the window and asked him to take his call elsewhere in the end. There were other noises, particularly in the hallway (footsteps on laminate flooring possibly) and people coming and going regularly. I think if I stayed again, I'd ask for an upstairs room. Another issue was not having a full-length mirror. I was attending a conference, so this would have been helpful and there's wall space for it. I also couldn't reach the bedside light unless I got out of bed.

The little touches of fresh fruit and chilled water, sweets and biscuits plus juices in reception were so thoughtful and welcoming. The staff were charming and helpful. The location is great for the South Bank or, as we were doing, shows at the Old Vic. Everything was very clean and well cared for. For the type of hotel and the price, it was really wonderful. They have tried to think of everything: hairdryer, iron, safe, fridge in the room. Recommended.

I have back and hip problems so found the bed uncomfortable but a lovely maid was happy to give me another duvet so I could sleep on a softer surface. No hot water one morning but plenty the next. An inconvenience but overall this hotel was great.

On arriving at the Bridge Hotel I was impressed by the beautiful bright decor outside and the attractive reception area. The staff were friendly and I was able to check in to my room early as it was already prepared before the check in time which was very useful. There are several tube stations within walking distance which is helpful. My room was nicer than expected, the bed comfortable and the location of the hotel was quiet yet close to London's attractions. The shared bathroom was nice and clean and I was comfortable using it. The price of the room was competitive for London.

The water turned cold fairly quickly in the shower but I'm sure they would have helped with this if I'd ask.
