Holiday Inn Express London Chingford, an IHG Hotel

Holiday Inn Express hotel at Chingford is located a little far from the central city of London. But this place is well accessible by busses (W11,158,97 )from the nearest underground rail station Blackhorse Road and Walthamstow central station. Holiday Inn Express hotel has a very good ambiance and room for a peaceful stay. The beds were very cozy and comfortable. The hotel is very very close to a big supermarket Sainsbury where you can get everything that is needed during your stay . The hotel serves good and hot breakfast everyday which gives you a good start for the day. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and available for any assistance required. Overall I would say this is a good place for stay.

We stayed in hotel For more than six days and the breakfast menu was the same all the days. Variety in the breakfast menu would have definitely added value to our stay.

The personel was absolutely amazing. Very understanding and kind. Every time we needed something extra we could just ask and they would deliver. Absolutely fantastic.

The cleaners. There where a few times where the cleaners didn't do their job in my opinion. Didn't make the bed. Didn't provide us with more toilet rolls hence the asking at the front desk which isn't a problem per se. But my girlfriend got on her time of the month during our stay and a got blood on the douvet and bedsheets. Us expecting it would just get cleaned we didn't mention it. When we came back the same day the beds where made. But the douvet and bedsheet didn't get swapped out. Had to ask at the front desk for a douvet and bedsheet myself. Thankfully the staff there was amazing and understanding.

Very pleased with our stay second time we’ve stayed friendly staff good location as we tend to go to London this will definitely be our hotel to stay in we were made welcome by staff and our room was spotless clean and them to things are the most important to us as a family so well done to all involved in this hotel

There honestly wasn’t any and trust me I would say if there was I’ve stayed in at least 20 other hotels in the area and yours is the most friendly and bright hotel we’ve stayed plus sainsburys being next door is a massive bonus

Location good for me as I needed easy access to Walthamstow with car parking. Straightforward check-in, room clean and well presented. Excellent choice of food for breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Wifi easy to log in and use.

Car parking "days"/charges do not align with hotel's check in/out times - I was in hotel less than 48 hours but had to pay for 3 days of parking. Friday breakfast team kept up with the demand both for food and cutlery/crockery; Saturday team less attentive - ran out of knives (replenished when I asked) and mugs. Could do with either an additional toast machine or one that produces "proper" toast (rather than warm bread!) in one pass. Never did work out how to use the TV remote, written info would have been helpful and room teabags/milk not replenished.

Very friendly staff. The location was easy to get too. The room was very clean, and comfortable. The shower was brilliant. No complaints from us at all. The air conditioning was working but a fan had already been provided. Plenty of towels. Breakfast was nice

Breakfast was nice but there was no yogurt left or orange juice when we went down. The second morning no bacon, beans, crossiants or yogurt and we went down early to be sure as I like yogurt and crossiants with bacon the most. But they were busy and they did what they could at the time.

Very clean, room was a great size, cot and sofa bed all set up for when we got there, many many amenities. Big Sainsbury’s just opposite as well, so great for getting food etc. Kelvin on reception was just the loveliest, kindest, most helpful amazing human, and made the stay all that more stress free.

Room was fairly cold, and we couldn’t seem to warm it up much. Considering it was 4 degrees outside overnight, we were looking forward to jumping into a cosy bed, but the heater in the room was very week, and wouldn’t heat the entire room, even when we had it on max at full blast. Obviously with grown ups, that’d be passable, but we had a baby and a 3 year old with us, and struggled to keep them warm overnight, so it wasn’t ideal.

It was very easy accessable because we had car and was free parking

The sofa bed for the kids was very uncomfortable. Kids didn't like it so we end up sleeping on it and my body is still aching. Also the soap was in a dispenser above the sink and you have to constantly open the bath door to get it plus it didn't smell nice at all. And inside the shower, there was two old rusty nail that should have been removed but still there and very dangerous if scratch on your arm. Four days four people and we were given only two toilet rolls. I had to go and asked for one on our last night.

My bed was so comfortable & all the staff were very accommodating and helpful.

The breakfast both mornings was shocking. The first morning all I had a choice of was over cooked bacon & a small scoop of scrambled eggs. No cutlery available. The second morning seemingly the dishwasher had broken alli had for breakfast was toast on a serviette no butter or cutlery available and fried potatoes. No mugs gor coffee, no juices I had a slice of dry toast. Terrible service.

The room was a perfect size for the two of us, really clean and bright. Shower was easy to use with enough room to move around. The tv in the room was a great size, some hotels scrimp on the size of the tv. The air conditioning was perfect, the wife suffers with asthma so this was really important for a good nights sleep. The bed OMG was so comfortable and springy, for want of a better word, so so comfortable for a great nights sleep. The location was great for where we wanted to be and there is Tottenham marshes just up the road which is a great nature reserve for walking and peace and quiet. A lovely hotel, youwould not be dissapointed at all.

Only one little niggle on the saturday morning at breakfast, not enough staff on duty to keep up with demand, address this problem and you are sorted.

The location is very accessible with public transport and can easily travel to any place in London by underground. There was some problem with AC in the room when I checked in and they immediately changed it to new room. Good breakfast can get some more items for the vegetarian people.
