Middle Woodbatch B&B

The directions were easy to navigate, and clear signage on approach, the welcome was friendly and the room was spacious with a great view and a very large comfy bed. Could've easily sat and watched the birds all day from the window. Clean bathroom with luxurious towels and extra touches with toiletries were thoughtful. great hosts, great location. Great to have use of a fridge and a guest lounge with informative leaflets on the area.

To be fair, I dont think we wanted anything else from our stay.

Large room, beautifully furnished, clean with a nice en-suite. Bonus guest lounge with a small fridge freezer and Mary left some milk in there for us. Although it’s a b&B, Mary and Steve let us use their kitchen and cutlery to warm a few things. Although we mostly ate out. Lovely lovely hosts and we will come back.

Nothing we didn’t like.

Mary and Steve are fab hosts: really open and welcoming, but in a relaxed and informal way. Mary makes a delicious cooked breakfast which incredibly felt quite healthy! The rest of the breakfast is freshly prepared, fruit salad, etc, which isn't always the case at some places... The farm location is impressive too: great views, very quiet, animals everywhere, owls hooting at night, swallows and house martins nesting in the eaves, foxes in the fields. Rooms are cosy, clean and well appointed. A perfect and authentic farm B&B, we loved it!

Mary, Steve and their family are great and nothing was too much trouble. It's great that it's a working farm and not one that wakes everyone up at daft o'clock. We both slept really well it's so quiet. Breakfast was great and we bought cheese and stuff for our evening meal one day and Leanne their lovely daughter laid the table in the Breakfast room and even put a cheeseboard out for us. When we left as we got into the car Leanne came running up to us with my razor in her hand which I had left in the bathroom and she explained that she always checked to see if anyone had left anything by mistake. As I said they are a lovely family and great hosts thanks for a nice break. 😀😃😃.

The only thing is that although the walk into town is only 1.5 miles, it's not an easy walk as it's very hilly and if you have had a meal in one of the good places in town it seems a very long walk back.

A perfect weekend break My wife and I stayed at the Middle Woodbatch B&B over the weekend (04/05 June) It’s a beautiful working 17 century farm in a lovely part of the country. The area is very peaceful and quite ideal for walking or visiting one of the restaurants in Bishops Castle a short distance away easily walkable. The guest rooms have been renovated to a very high standard and were immaculately turned out and spotlessly clean. Facilities included TV and tea and coffee in all rooms. Mary and Steve who run the B&B were very friendly, welcoming and treated us more like family than guests. Breakfasts were superb well cooked and ample to set you up for the day ahead. There was a great choice for breakfast - everything you could possibly expect. If you had a big appetite then it was great value for money. It was good to have an en suite bathroom.

The location isn’t great in that it’s a long way up a one track road. Also, the sat nav takes you to a completely different farm, this isn’t the fault of the owners of Middle Woodbatch, it is something to bear in mind. The shower isn’t very powerful, you would have trouble washing long hair.

Welcoming and very friendly owners. Advice on places to eat, scenic walking routes and local nature. First hand experience of how farmers (it is a working farm) and b and b owners work extremely hard. Excellent breakfasts.

Only visiting for 5 nights

Everything was first class. Friendly and really helpful host - nothing was too much trouble - lovely room, lovely view and location, excellent breakfast (catered well for dietary requirements).

Gorgeous place to stay! Loved the remoteness and quietness of the farm. Beautiful room - very tranquil and very clean. Mary was a fab host! Thank you.

Very friendly & accommodating owners. Comfortable bed, quiet room. Good breakfast: fresh fruit salad, cereals, 4 types of bread, cooked food on demand.

Weak shower (the water pressure in our room was low).
