Carter and his staff were wonderful hosts. A really warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Lovely old ale house on the ground floor with friendly locals and interesting ales and ciders on offer. You can bring in take away food to eat on the premises which is very handy. Another nice touch was the chance to pay a little extra per night and have a filling cooked breakfast at a local cafe 1 minutes' walk away. The internet connection is also very fast and reliable. I stayed in the very spacious family room on the top floor which had nice views south over the town.

It wasn't ensuite, but it was a fabulous place to stay. My room (the family room) was HUGE and the view was stunning. The bed was super firm and the pub below was a wonderful place to while away the evening. The kitchen was full size and there was a lot of space in the fridge for my cheese and crackers. Highly recommend Watson's Ale
Shower was a little lackluster, but it was totally fine.

Great location in the centre of town, quirky old property. The welcome we received was amazing. Good sized room with use of kitchen and bathroom. Fantastic views.
The stairs to the room are very steep and narrow due to the age of the building, fine for us but would be awkward for anyone less mobile.

We felt so welcomed and was a perfect stop off on the Offas Dyke trail, right in the centre of Knighton. The room was nice and clean and the property is really charming. Was great to have use of the shared kitchen.
