The atmosphere at the Inn was warm and friendly. The staff were really helpful. We had food in the restaurant, which was home made and amazing quality. Our room was situated up some steps and looked really cute from the outside. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the bed was really comfortable, We enjoyed our two night stay.

There was only one tiny detail that would have made the experience even better, and it is a tiny detail, a full length mirror in the 'Pikle' bedroom itself would have be so much easier than using the small wall mirror in the bathroom, which after a shower became very steamed up. But it's a very minor detail and didn't hinder our lovely stay.

The lady who manages the property is very hardworking, friendly and efficient The bar in the pub is popular and mainly for locals but the bar in the restaurant was very good and the menu was interesting (sizzling chicken and steak on hot cast iron skillets!).All the staff were helpful .The Hotel does not have parking space but we found one a hundred yards away on a free space .The rooms were stylish with old pine beams.Maybe the best place to stay in Knighton

Not being able to park overnight at the hotel .

Period property, wrapped around a little courtyard, in a quiet location near the centre of town. Rooms off open balcony accessed by wooden staircase from the courtyard. Bath in room - ideal after a long day's walking. Two bar areas, including snug with woodburning stove, and restaurant. Excellent food. Charming and very helpful team.

Room was a little tight in twin format. Yes, there was some noise from the courtyard but we were all young once!

The staff were very pleasant and eager to please. The breakfasts were very good. I had the full breakfast one day which was very big. Had smaller breakfast other days.

That there was no difference in the price whether you had a full breakfast or just porridge. I used the tea facilities in my room and expected that the cups would be replaced on a daily basis, this did not happen.

it was a charming building and the staff were brilliant. (Chloe was great, really friendly and helpful). The breakfast was great and the desserts were amazing. The room decor gave a splash of colour to the room and was tastefully done to compliment the old beams and stonework.

parking could have been easier. it was only a short walk to the train station but having a few spaces for guests close to the building would be better.

Friendly staff. Superior room was large enough and comfortable. Very convenient for Offa's Dyke walkers without cars. Snug was comfortable. Food was good.

No parking at all though in fairness this was stated in the write up. We did not have water one morning. We stayed as this was central to other places we wanted to visit; there is nothing attractive in Knighton.

Great location (a minute from the main street), spacious room, very comfortable bed, fabulous food. My second stay, great choice.

I had the "Cottage" which was fine but it's by the road so some noise (traffic stops early). I've had a courtyard room before which I prefer. Note there will be some pub noise in both so ear plugs if you're going to bed early.

Stayed here on our first, second and last night when walking Glyndwrs Way (including the Offa's Dyke link) in September. Really enjoyed our stays here and looked forward to returning at the end of our journey. Very friendly staff, Lynsey the bar manager was ace and helped us with arranging a taxi as we were let down a few days before the start of our walk with accommodation in Felindre. Luckily we were able to book an additional night at the Horse & Jockey and get a taxi back and forth. Really liked the atmosphere here, its a quirky, characterful place which we like a lot. We enjoyed the food, breakfast was excellent as were the evening meals. The manageress in the restaurant really is 1st class and the staff where attentive and very nice. We will definitely be returning

Accommodation appears to be conversion of several buildings adjoining the pub just off the high street, all old stone construction, with access by raised wooden walkways from stairs in the pub courtyard. The room was not large but well equipped, clean, well heated with modern ensuite. Usual on-line and TV facilities excellent. For those into pubs, the bars were cosy and inviting, the staff friendly and helpful.

No secure parking on site, though a short walk to municipal parking: free 1800-0800.

The location was perfect for our needs and the town was in a good position for exploring the area. Being so central in the town we could walk out to both town and countryside easily. The restaurant had some good food choices and staff were helpful and friendly both there and the pub. We were in Tolland room which was a really big and the bed was extremely comfortable

There was a lot of noise from the pub courtyard -probably as people prefer to drink outside still - in the evenings that could be heard in the rooms so this is a pub/hotel for people who do not go to bed early. There is no dedicated parking but we were able to get into a car park opposite. It was a bit of a tight squeeze at times.
