Very clean hotel, hotel room and bathroom. Modern bathroom with jet bath was great, used it both nights. Room size was decent. Room had all the amenities you could need, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Staff helpful on arrival. Hotel itself homely, comfortable and quiet.

The hotel and room was very hot, had to sleep with window open which was then loud from outdoor noise in the morning. Beds not as comfortable as could have been. TV aerial was broken so had to use phone apps instead. Parking really quite awkward, it says room for 8 cars but this isn't possible without blocking people in. We had to park on the road as wasn't sure where else to go. Told the lift was out of order on arrival which was a little frustrating as I suffer with fibromyalgia but we made do.

The reception lady was very helpful. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and really clean bed linen and towels. En suite facilities were clean and modern. Although the hotel no longer provides food, the kitchen was available to guests to use as their own. Although I didn’t use the kitchen, I did look around, it is on the ground floor and clearly visible through glazed doors, to anyone who enters the hotel. The hotel provides plastic containers for guests to keep their foodstuffs in the glass fronted fridges. Different but obviously a facility for guests rather than just closed! Dining area and the bar lounge were closed to guest as far as I know. I absolutely have no issues with the Knighton hotel.

Nothing, everything was good.

We are glad that we have ignored the negative reviews who did not take into consideration that the hotel has been taken over and in the mid of upgrading the facilities (NOT those noisy building upgrades) and booked the Knighton. Lovely building. comfy room and excellent customer service. It will be a lovely hotel once it is all done. Will definitely stay here again which is right in the town centre.

They are in the mid of providing breakfast and restaurant & café but there's plenty of breakfast cafes within the area so it's not a problem to us at all

The location is amazing. Such a beautiful part of the world and situated in the heart of Knighton.. it appears that the property has been taken over and is in transition to transform it back to its former vibrant self. Fantastic original features still remain but there has obviously been a lot of work to modernise rooms and decor. Lovely, welcoming staff who advised what to do and where to eat locally. I'm looking forward to coming back again to see how things have progressed and to do more in the area

Could do with a few more parking spaces. We parked for free on the street rather than fork out for the pay and display parking

Was staying here for a mountain bike race. After reading previous reviews regarding checking in, I was abit concern . I needed be got their just before 6 pm and their was someone at the check in desk to check me in. Though if had arrived after 6 pm I would have use the key pad. Just remember to check your email this is where they give you instruction a code.

On booking.com website its says breakfast is now included free, wrong you have to pay additional charge.

This was a fantastic stay! I stayed at the Knighton Hotel with my mum and sister for a short walking trip. We were expecting a boring and impersonal hotel and planned to camp after the first night - but the Knighton Hotel was so amazing that we ended up staying for the whole of our holiday. The staff were exceptional and friendly. When I asked the receptionist about local walks she went above and beyond and wrote down directions for several beautiful trails. The handyman was also very friendly and gave us the background on the local area. The room was roomy for the three of us and very light with two windows - also very clean with a nice bathroom. We were given a good breakfast to take out (cereal, pastry and snack bars) and there was coffee available. There are several sitting rooms and a very comfortable lounge. Also, although the town was very quiet there was a great bar a few doors up the street (The Banc) with wonderful food and several pubs which we never got the chance to try! It was also excellent value for money. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely go back and bring some more friends with me!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a kitchen available for making breakfast, although this was not mentioned on the website.

The layout of the room was poor. There was no table or bedside light at one side of the bed, although the room itself was quite spacious. There were very complicated instructions about how to get into the hotel, which we fortunately did not need, as there was someone in reception.

Place was nice and tasteful. Maintenance personnel exceptional! :)

Booking and checking in is a nightmare .. one might think that after y book a room (and pay) via booking.com u r good to come but it is far from over - u have to sign some kind of signable (really wierd template) and send them your ID and verify all the information in a separate platform although u did it already in booking.com. + u r asked to deposit extra 50 pounds for some security (in case u break smth) + there is no one at reception starting from 6pm and in case of questions u have to call some dodgy number somehere. Overall booking and checking in as user unfriendly as it could be. Otherwise all is good. So for owners - simplify checking in process and u will have a good business.

Beautiful hotel and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a perfect stay. Thank you.

There was a woman locked out of her room around midnight, and I had to deal with it because there was no staff around at that hour and no emergency phone number clearly posted. Otherwise, I really loved the hotel and the staff that was there when I checked in during the daytime.

Extremely clean. Staff fantastic, warm and friendly. I had a slightly larger room for a disabled person so ensuite was a wet room. Couldn't fault it one bit.

Don't know about a Saturday as I stayed from Sunday night and it's a self check-in. Was a bit frustrating as internet kept going off and had to ring 3 times as my phone kept cutting off. You need photo ID to check in once received they will give you combination to box for your keys. Monday onwards the reception is manned up to about 5 sometimes a little later so arrive before then and they will help you. They arrive about 8.30am
