Continental breakfast very generous. Darren was a lovely host. The hotel is being refurbished and should end up fabulous. The room was clean and we slept well.

No reserved parking but we always managed to park in the space outside.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Great location and nice toiletries. Could have done with more Toilet roll! Good choice of breakfast items. Staff happy to make recommendations regarding things in the local area. Would recommend to others.

More Toilet roll please ! Breakfast could have been organised a little better. Maybe less air fresheners: they were everywhere, not great for asthma sufferers.

Convenient location close to the station. There was some bay parking on the road outside which was free. Continental breakfast was also included which was not too clear on the booking information.

We had a problem with the door lock which needed changing away from a key system. The room we had was also slightly noisy from the town then a chiming clock.

The hotel was ideally situated for us and there was a warm welcome from the friendly staff. We got the last parking spot - if you arrive during the working day most places will be taken by train travellers. The hotel seems to have been through some changes and older reviews were mixed but any problems they may have had in the past have been sorted out. I'd certainly stay here again on a future visit.

Loud radio in breakfast room - why do some hotels think people want pop music at breakfast? Some rooms face the railway so you'll hear trains through the night - ask for a room on the other side if you think this might be a problem.

The Queens Hotel was ideal for our two-night stay. It didn't matter that it wasn't a pub as there is a Wetherspoons 100 yards down the road. The Queens was an excellent stay - the room was clean and tidy and the continental breakfast was exceptional, it really was. The breakfast room had been refurbished to a very high standard, and Darren really looked after us.

Disappointed you couldn't eat or drink there at first, (other than the fab breakfast), but these facilities are so close by, it really didn't matter once we realised that. We had a very enjoyable stay. There was nothing we didn't like. There was car parking right outside the hotel, and if no spaces, plenty of free car parking at Todmorden train station which is right next to it.

The hotel is a nice old hotel. Some might say it could do with a bit of an upgrade, but everything was clean , functional and comfortable, in a property with character. Our host, Elaine, was very friendly and helpful. It is in a market town in West Yorkshre that I had never heard of previously, but it has good facilities including a thriving market which was impressive for a fairly small town. I had noticed ithe market was regarded as a good place to visit, but we loved it. My partner is from Lyon (often regarded as the gastronomic capital of France) and she was impressed with the rabge of meats, cheeses,,teas, olives etc. I also really liked the little bar and the fact it had a local ironmonger! THe whole region reeks of industrial history and its importance as part of the backbone of Britain in days of yore. We were only there one night, but we loved our stay. THe hotel is also right next to the railway station, so good access to Leeds and Manchester.

We have no grumbles.

the queens is a beautiful building in a great location with friendly staff. we’ve stayed here 3 times now when visiting friends in Tod. The hotel has been undergoing refurbishment during the times we’ve stayed and each time we go it’s better than the last. They have now done up the bar/restaurant area and it’s beautiful. continental breakfast was good as well with plenty choice, including meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, cereal, yoghurt and fruit.

The shower was a bit poor, but that’s my only complaint as such, it was perfectly useable I would have given a higher rating had the shower been good.

Breakfast was fine - nothing hot, but plenty of choice of cereals, fruit, bread etc. Very close to railway station and town centre. Reasonably quiet - nearby church clock chimes the hour, but that’s actually quite nice. Helpful staff, especially Darren.

I was cold! It was exceptionally cold for the start of July and I’d stupidly brought summer pyjamas with me - how daft was that??? Fortunately there was a spare duvet in the bottom of the wardrobe that I put on top of the actual duvet, but maybe an extra blanket or two would have been nice.

Friendly and helpful receptionist on checking in. The room was warm and spacious with a very comfy bed. I had a good night's sleep. Lovely bathroom with large oval bath. Fab choice of foodstuff for the continental breakfast. I was a female travelling alone but I felt safe staying at the Queens Hotel. So I would return again. Thank you.

Parking is a problem. I had to drive round and round until I eventually found a space. Cosmetically the room decor and carpet could do with being upgraded, and the coffee I selected on the coffee machine at breakfast definitely didn't taste like Cappachino, very bitter. In the large scheme of things though, it didn't stop me from having a good stay.
