The site and room well maintained and excellent.

It was on the motorway and we ended up the opposite side to the venue so had to travel about 16 extra miles to get to it and then when we went out in the evening had the same problem returning. It needs to be clearer on Booking.com at least that this is an issue, the hotel is NOT on an island on the motorway where it would be easy to leave and return. The search engine said the Hotel was 10 minutes from the place we were visiting but that was as the crow flies - or down a forest track to the back of the building (inaccessible) as we found out to our frustration. It was actually about 30 - 40 minutes away.

For a hotel at a motorway service station, this has to be one of the cleanest, smartest, and most comfy I have stayed in! The twin beds were a generous single size and the room was quite simply massive! The bathrooms were spotless and modern with fantastic showers. Complimentary shower gel on the walls was a plus! On a final note, the price, I may have got this at an unusually low rate but for £35 I think this was super value.

No breakfast on site is a small thing. We turned up at midnight and struggled to find food at the service station was a challenge! Also, just remember it is southbound on the M3, we were traveling up from Southampton and it took us another 10 miles to go up turn around and come back as there is no link bridge!

Our first stay at a Day's Inn. Expectations weren't high given the relatively low cost, but were hugely exceeded. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated and equipped, way better than most budget hotels, with a really comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room could have been let down by the kettle not working, but that was immediately replaced by the super friendly welcoming and helpful staff.

The only thing that counts against this hotel is that it is on the southbound side of the motorway, so fine if accessing from the north, but involves a little bit of extra driving if accessing from the northbound side. But the overall quality of our stay means that we will certainly be back if we need to stay in the area.

As this hotel is on a motorway service area, I was surprised how quiet it was in the hotel itself. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was large and comfortable. with all the facilities needed. There is no onsite food, but the service area takes care of that. As a side note, there is a microwave available in reception, which is a nice touch.

The bathroom, while clean and tidy, could do with a little TLC. The flush mechanism on the toilet was a bit hit and miss, resulting in a few attempts to get it to work. On a side note, the staff member who I reported it to made a note of the issue for maintenance to attend to it. So I would hope the next guest didn't have any problems.

Hair dryer in room, lots of storage space, tissues and sanitary disposal bags all in room without asking. One staff member found us an anti slip bath mat as well. Very happy with the room

Some staff members seem to park in the disabled parking bay for the night shift with no badge, Due to this we had to walk much further than we should've had to, (both guests disabled) not very strict on making sure only disabled guests park in those spaces. Bit disappointing as a disabled person.

Very clean, pleasant staff

The charge for a dog is too high- proportionately- to the stay. I don't understand why this charge is applied when a room should be cleaned thoroughly after any guest. Having said that, . It's great to be able to bring a dog at all. Didn't have the breakfast pack- didn't appeal and too expensive for what it was- for a family of three it would be just too much. Went to the services instead to an M &:S

This was value for money. The room was larger than expected. It fitted the three of us well. clean. Great hot water. Comfortable beds. You could hop outside to go for breakfast at M&S, COSTA or other places.

There was a musty smell in the room. After we left our clothes did smell - maybe there had been smokers in there. It was on the motorway and you had to do a big u-turn to get back to it. But that was ok because it was excellent vlaue.

The room was large and well set out, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a small problem with the pillows on one bed, but this was quickly sorted by the staff. There is access to a microwave and toaster in reception, and this helps as Its a motorway service area, so food onsite is limited. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but I think it could do with an upgrade to a walk in shower, rather than the old style shower over the bath.

For some reason, we had to re-set the access card every day, but only found out while trying to enter the room on arrival each evening.

, Nothing not to like about the accommodation or the welcoming by the staff. Very clean and tidy. You would never tell that the hotel was in the motorway services. Great as a stop of point if your travelling from north down to south. Remember, there are no dining facilities or bar at the hotel itself. However the services are conveniently right next to the hotel where there is located a Burger King, Costa coffee, W H Smiths and Marks & Spencers.

Would not recommend it as a base to stay and go touring around the area. Reason being is that the hotel is situated on the south bound carriage way of the M3. Winchester is the only 5 miles further down south. However when returning back to the hotel coming back up on the north bound carriage, there is no link road over to the south bound carriage way where the hotel is situated. Instead you have to travel a further 8 miles north in order to get to the next junction on the M3 to head back down south. A needles extra round trip of 16 miles to get back to the hotel. So if you were out for the night in Winchester it could prove to be a costly taxi ride back to the hotel.

It was suitable for an overnight stay snd close to facilities

Staff appeared disinterested snd were not always at reception, there appears to be use of a microwave and toaster but placed right at the entrance at reception seems inappropriate and unhygienic . The notice on the microwave suggests that it has been mistreated and is now due to approval before use . Wonder if there was really a need for this notice … suggests to the rest of us that we are not to be trusted or not worthy of using the microwave . Might be better to remove it if it’s use is do grudged!
