The location and the staff

Unfortunately in our second night we got mice in our room around 2 am so I went down to the lobby looking for someone to help. The guy who was there brought upstairs to our room a mouse trap. Unfortunately an hour later the mice kept roaming around so the very next day I spoke to another guy and he promised me to resolve the issue immediately. Luckily after that night no mice but we weren't comfortable despite having mouse traps. I will give it 3 out 5 just because of this. My wife and 5 years old son weren't impressed.

Okay so I read all the negative reviews in horror after booking so if you are doing the same thing right now…fear not! The price and room size was unbeatable. I found the lobby charming and the staff were super friendly. Our room was comfortable, clean and huge( we stayed in the king suite). We had no issues with hot water or WI-FI, both elevators were working and the room temp was easily controlled. If you have read old negative reviews regarding a cleaning fee…. this fee no longer exists! We only stayed one night so it suited our needs perfectly!! I would recommend to anyone coming to NYC!

When our door was locked… you could wiggle it slightly back and forth…it didn’t feel super secure. Because I watch way too much true crime, we moved a piece of furniture in front of the door for peace of mind. This honestly wouldn’t deter me from staying here in the future and probably would be easily fixed by maintenance. No breakfast/meals offered which wasn’t a big deal for us but if we were staying there longer than one night it would have been nice to have!

We didn’t spend much time in the room, too much to see and do. BUT the location was AMAZING!!!! Such a close walk to Time Square, Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, etc!! John the bellman was just as amazing!! Rooms were very spacious, comfy beds, mirrors everywhere in bathroom, microwave and mini fridge, good view for the location. I honestly was sketched out booking through booking.com and after reading some reviews I was nervous but we had an amazing time and would most definitely come back!! If you plan to go ABSOLUTELY request tickets to The Tonight Show w Jimmy Fallon, we ended up 3rd row and was shown on national television multiple times

There’s a homeless drug corner about 400 ft to the left of leaving the hotel, never had a problem with it but it’s definitely there. Our A/C also quit working but they gave us a fan and showed us how to crack the windows. No toiletries which was fine because we planned ahead

Very clean, easy check in check out, no surprise charges, very nice staff

My reservation was for a suite with a sofa and 2 Queen beds but we did not have a sofa. We also did not have a coffee maker which was also stated in the reservation.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. We also got a big room with more than enough space for my partner and myself. The location is also perfect with having Time Square and Central Park in walking distance.

I had to cancel my first booking in March due to Covid. After canceling my booking I had received a cancelation confirmation which showed USD 150 less than I had initially paid for the room. This was a issue since my insurance did not cover these USD 150. Neither the hotel nor booking.com ever reacted to any of my messages and they basically took USD 150 from me.

Property location was very good. The room was very nice.

One of the 2 small elevators was out of order and the employees tended to use working one only for themselves, we had to take the stairs 9 floors a lot of times, because they were moving linen or cleaning carts and would. One other issue is the company that time the hotel cancelled a reservation I had and never refunded the money they charged in advance (there are 4+ months now) and they avoid answering any email related to that.

Extremely good location. NQRW Subway on the same block, this will take you wherever you want. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. They changed my towels everyday, even if we didn't ask for. Room got fridge, microwave and everything you need to have a meal in the room, which was great since most of the nights were cold and we didn't want to go outside for dinner. They even provide umbrellas for rainy days, and the front desk was always very nice and received all the packages I sent to the hotel. Also it has free Wi-Fi throughout the whole hotel and it worked perfectly. Saw bad reviews on google which scared me a lot but they were definitely from the previous management.

great location, easily walkable everywhere and super close to Central Park. shower pressure was EXCELLENT with a spa bath included. very clean throughout with quite large room (we had two double beds) and heaps of space for two large suitcases and one small carry-on suitcase. big closet and lots of drawers. bed was decent though pillows were so fluffy without much support. was very quiet and warm. staff were friendly and allowed us to store luggage for the day which was super helpful. has a small fridge and microwave. no kettle or tea/coffee facilities but nowhere seems to have them in America (why??). I highly recommend staying here unless you want to sit in your hotel all day then you might want a better view.

it needs a bit of an update - our carpet was super old and stained (though clean). nothing else to complain about!

Location and price was 10 out of 10! I know we traveled in the middle of the cold ass NY winter (end of Jan), but I still think the price was worth it! Also the staff was very helpful, attentive, AND accommodating! My partner and I have already discussed returning each Jan to explore more of NY and staying with you.

The building was a touch “run-down” in that y’all need some updates. I’d suggest 1) New windows = it would help cancel some of the street noise and also be able to open; 2) Black Out Blinds = People come from all over the world to NYC so being able to get the room very dark even during daylight would be ideal; and 3) maybe Furniture = The bed was great but the couch, coffee table, and upholstery was very dated (I thought it was fine but my partner thought it looked like 1975).

I was getting a little worried having seen a raft of negative reviews but our stay at the Blackley was very good. There were no issues with anything and the locations is fantastic. Decor is a little dated but it still is a good value for money.

I was a little disappointed we weren’t allowed to check in early despite having messaged the hotel beforehand. Also, it was my wife’s birthday as per the special request at booking but nothing was done by the hotel.
