The hotel is really nice. It may not seem it by photos i.e. put off by the sink in the room, but it is actually a really good room. The bathroom is quirky, but the shower is really nice. The beds were really soft. The airport is about 20 mins away via public transport which is easy to catch from the hotel, and the CBD is about 30-40 mins away via public transport. Easy as. KFC and McDonald's right next door for late night feeds, can't go wrong. Cheap and nice location.
The only thing was our air con did not work. On any other stay they would've changed our room but since we booked over New Years, they were fully booked. The staff did give us a tower fan to try and help out, which was good enough, did the job and was really thoughtful by the staf..

The location was great - close to the airport, and walking distance to multiple train stations, pubs, restaurants. After hours check-in was easy, though I think instructions need to be updated so customers know how it works before they arrive in the late hours. Bed was super comfy - our pillows needed changing out for new ones. Good hot water with plenty of pressure. The windows block out most of the noise from the frequent planes crossing overhead, so you won't be disturbed by them unless you want to sleep with your window open. Maccas downstairs for a first thing in the morning real caffeine hit was great.
The pillows weren't great, and the bin in the room was too small for a multiple day stay. After hours check-in instructions need updating, and communication with the hotel wasn't as easy as it should have been.

It was as expected. Cheap for a reason, but I felt safe, which was important. The room had a pale green prison cell vibe, which is quite fun if you want to know what that is like. There is even a weird washbasin in the corner, rather than the bathroom, to add to the vibe. Fluorescent lights complement the effect. It is nice and close to the airport so it is fine for an overnight stay if you are not into anything fancy.
I did not like most things about the property, and yet it was affordable for a reason. Although dated, the property was clean and secure. You really do get what you pay for. It is fun, in a way, to experience such a place with my safety still being present.

This hotel is good money and if booked early enough, great value. The location is close to KFC & McDonalds with a hotel just a few minutes walk down the road. The room was quiet considering the busy road outside. Staff were very helpful.
The hand basin for the toilet was in the bedroom some 10 steps away. Whilst this is not so bad, there was no soap or liquid handwash or towel at the basin. This should be addressed in the interest of good hygiene. There was a strange shelf thing right at the end of the bed on the wall at head height. My husband had to be very wary not to walk into it. Perhaps this should be removed to prevent head bangs.

The bed and sheets were comfy. Private bathroom. Ibis budget St Peters is located in between KFC and Maccas, really convenient if you can't be bothered going out for tea. Bus stop is very close, you are able to catch the bus to IKEA or the train station. It is close to the airport as well, easy to catch a bus then train to airport, it can be noisy with planes taking off and flying above you, but it did not bother us.
The fridge we had frozen our food which was inconvenient. Our AC didn't work - perhaps they turn it off during Australian 'winter'. There was no TV remote so had to change channels manually.

Arman the general mgr and Matthew his asst along with Shanti and Arjun were beyond a doubt the most helpful in everything from getting to and from stations shopping centers to any item needed at the hotel keep up the good work The location was fantastic 1 minute walk to bus then 1 minute walk to train station and lite rail could not ask for a better home base Newtown was5 minutes away many places to eat and drink do not believe a better area to stay in quiet but close to anything your looking for.
biggest concern was no place to put your suitcase { i improvised and made my own stand} and the chair had no back again i went and asked for and was supplied with a chair with a back from the breakfast area It is a very basic room but what it lacks in amenities in more than makes up for this by the kindness of Arman and his staff

Arrive at this Ibis Hotel St Peters and was greeted by this lovely young lady with a beautiful smile. We ask for a ground floor unit which we received. Yes this is a buget hotel but everything u need for a stay there is worth it. The bed was comfy. TV, mini fridge, a full size mirror which we havn't had at other Ibis Hotels where we have stay at over the years. Location great. KFC opposite hotel.and around the corner McDonalds. Had breakfast there. Everything u need, ceral, yoghurt, Raisin Toast or normal toast. They even had leg ham and Cheese. Coffee Tea and juices. Plenty of parking onsite for a fee of $10.00 per nite. Would recommend this Hotel.

Clean, comfortable and affordable facility. Friendly staff
Having to pay $10 for an overnight parking pass was unexpected, and the parking was just in the car park of the KFC which was next door. When I left the hotel at 5.00am the next morning I was surprised to see the main front hotel reception entry door ( suppose to be a security feature ) had been wedged open, allowing potentially "anyone" internal access to the hotel overnight, whilst reception was closed. Didn't leave this customer feeling safe or secure.

Old and small room but clean and perfect for an overnight stay for early flight next morning No complaints except I had to return a soiled/stained bath towel to reception for a clean one and she didn’t even apologise that’s only complaint
Female staff member that was on that afternoon could be more customer focused no smile no welcome Last time we were there it a was a young man and he was so polite and welcoming she needs to learn from him

Our second stay n this time we stayed 7 days. Towels r thick, fresh n clean. Bed is good n sheets clean n fresh. Yes, room is small but for the money, it certainly beat a lot of places hands down. Thank you to the caring staff. This hotel makes it possible for people like us who do not wish to stay in Youth Hostels, yet not ready to fork out a lot of money for accomodation. We will be back. Keep up the good work. 👍 the public transport is fantastic. Bus 422 stops just outside the hotel n the train station is not far. Just love this place.😍
Perhaps an extra chair in the room. Anyway we got one for the 7 days we were there. Nothing we did not like. For the money this place is GREAT value.
