Friendly staff. Comfortable, spacious bed, quiet room. The place was very clean. There was hot water and a small space for cooking. A nice communal area downstairs. What I personally liked about this hostel is that it's small. There isn't 400 people coming and going. It's quiet , yet you can easily meet others and have a chat or food downstairs. The beds were big and comfortable and had their own curtain for privacy. I slept very well and it was quite cheap too. It's in a good location too. A family mart directly beside you and a metro stop. I really can't complain. It exceeded my expectations for the price. I've stayed in hostels for at least 4 months over the past year in multiple countries and picnic was one of the best by far.

I really can't complain.

Check-in was very easy. The rooms were very clean, it felt like me and my items were very safe. The rooms have locks and the overall building locks after 10 pm. Even when I wasn't there I felt comfortable leaving my belongings at the hostel. It was very clean, the staff clean the rooms and bathroom/shower room every day. They had great amenities available for very cheap prices (toothbrush- 50 YEN; towel for 100 YEN). It was very comfortable, with comfy sheets, and pillows, and the rooms have air conditioning. If I were to stay in Osaka again, I would definitely stay here.

Nothing. I had a great time for my three-night stay.

The hostel has a very good location. They also provide you with everything you need. Even a hair straightener at the floor for women. Also, the owner is very friendly and he is very engaged in having smalltalk with the guests and learning a little bit from everyone about their language and even greets them in their language 🤗 Once, someone took my umbrella from the entrance and I told him about it. He even insisted on giving me the money for it back which was not necessary but a very kind act. All in all, it is a very friendly and cozy atmosphere. Thank you for your hostility!

There is two supermarkets, two convinient stores and metro station just 2 min walk from the hostel. The bed was spacious and had a long and quite large counter to leave my things. There is also a good space in the room to leave your luggage, but as I'm travelling with a median size backpack so I just kept it with me in the bed counter. The team was lovely and very funny, they invited me to eat some snacks and also helped me finding the best way of going to the airport. I arrived before check-in time, but my bed was ready at that time, so they let me check-in earlier. The owner seems serious at first but he's actually funny in his on way. The night I stayed in the hostel there was a guy with very smelly feet and the owner discreetly opened the common area doors so the air could change. He also turned the air conditioner full power to circulate the air in the dorm. I believe that was all he could do. Next day I was getting ready to leave the dorm for check out when I saw the owner and the volunteers changing not only the bed sheets, but the whole capsule set even the duvet and the futon mattress of the smelly guy capsule because he left but the smell stayed. I could see they really care about the cleaning and all that concerns the guests confort. I wish I would definitely come back.

The kitchen space allows one person cooking at time. But it wasn't a big deal for me because most people seem to go out to eat because there is a lot of restaurants around so I could take my time cooking my dinner.

the hostel has everything you need. it was small but cozy and comfortable. the hosts were very very nice and accommodating. the hostel is near a lot of restaurants, vending machines, convenient stores, train and bus stations, as well as other facilities. we didn’t need to travel far to have good food. also the hostel is only about a 20 min walk away from Dotonburi, the shopping center of Osaka. if we come to Osaka again, we will choose Picnic Hostel Osaka again.

the wall is a little thin, so when a group of tourists who lived next to our room came back late and were super noisy at night, we could hear them laughing and chattering. we knocked at their door and they shut up. apart from that, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Osaka.

Lovely place with even more lovely team! Volunteers from all around the world not only were making the hostel clean and sparkly every day, but also made sure that you are having the best time in Osaka. Thanks to this hostel, I acquired new valuable friendships and also enjoyed every minute of the stay in the hostel - the beds were spacious, kitchen equipped and bathroom clean!

I stayed here for one night and it was a perfect stay. The owner of the hostel Mia-san is so lovely and she will do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She speaks a bit of English but is super shy about it. The hostel is close to the subway, convenience stores and is about a 20 minute walk away from Dotonobori street. The beds are comfortable and the facilities are clean. If you have the chance please stay here. Mia-san is super excited to welcome you all now that the borders are open again

location was ok and close to a train station, but the neighborhood was not as happening as we would have liked

The hostel is small, but super clean. You should put off your shoes before entering he main room, then will be given sandals to walk into the property. This is very good.

The small kitchen. Not enough plate available for you to prepare your food. When you buy something outside, make sure you have all the utensils.
