Very close to Dotonbori “action.” Everything was walkable from this hotel. Shopping mall, restaurants, Don Quixote, train stations ! Hotel was basic. Clean. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Breakfast buffet was a very good deal at $10 !

No AC in the hallways.Bathroom floor was slippery !

Very accessible to the train & subway stations. Less than a kilometer (600m) to the Glico man bridge, main shopping strip of Dotonbori, Shinshaibashi and Umeda. The hotel provided amenities beyond our expectations. It gave that touch of personal care. The staff are very accommodating. Though not all of them can communicate in English, they make sure that someone is available to assist at all times. The room size and bathroom are typical in almost all boutique type hotels in the area and mostly around Japan in general. Still it didn't make our stay any less comfortable. We will book this hotel again the next time we plan a trip to Osaka.

Location - superb! The hotel is in the quieter side of Dotonbori. Just walk for 2-3 minutes and you'll find where all the action happens (glico man, restaurants...). Namba Station is also very near, just make sure you take the Exit 25. Room - for a family of 4 (3 adults and 1 child), we got the Triple Room. It comes with 2 double beds and 1 single bed. The other reviews said the rooms were rather small, but we found our room size adequate. My son enjoyed soaking in the bathtub every night after all the walking/touring we did in Kansai. The hotel provides all the toiletries you may need, gives you fresh towels, toothbrush and water everyday. we even wore the pajamas provided. the room was clean when we got there. there's a magnet we can put outside our door if we want it cleaned the next day or not. Hotel activities - we enjoyed the Kimono wearing day hosted by the hotel. The staff helped us wear kimonos and we enjoyed taking pictures in Kimonos in the hotel lobby. Everyday also we get free icecream and beer Other Amenities - we got to use the massage chairs in the lobby (really helpful after walking all day), and there's free coffee/tea vending machine as well. in the 5th floor, there's ice machine, microwave, kettle and laundry machine. I didn't wash our clothes though, as the smoking booth is in there too. I worried that my clothes might smell of smoke. There's also a luggage weighing scale by the elevator of our floor and in the hotel lobby, so we were able to ensure our luggages weren't overweight. Breakfast - we loved our Miso soup every morning. My son's favorite was the cream bread. There isn't much variety, only the veggie and pasta changes everyday, but the rest were staples (bacon, sausage, eggs, different breads, rice, fish, salad, jelly desserts). We wouldn't complain though, the breakfast was filling and everything tasted good.

Location is super awesome, just few minute walk to Dotonburi street and we get to try most of the food there in few day. Breakfast or Dinner also we settle in Dotonburi. This hotel is close to train station too so when we going out on the afternoon is consider super convinience.

I think is booking.com issues not really Hotel's problem. When i check-in i din't expect that i need to pay on the counter, at first i was request online payment through platform but i think something happen and the transaction is failed. I have my fault too that i miss the email notification that send a day before i travel ( which i think that few day is super busy day for preparation ).

The hotel's location is spot on. The location is near the Dotonbori area (Glico sign) but far away from the noise. I like that they have different amenities like the massage chair, free cup noodles and ice cream. The receptionist are very friendly and when I inquired about something, they readily answered and helped me out. I like it also that they have a laundry area, water station and free water kettle to use. Wash and dry is cheap which ranges from ¥200-300. No need to add soap to the washer. The bedroom was just right. The beds were comfy, though the pillows could be more fluffy

I think with all Japan hotels, the space inside our room is really small. We booked the triple room but it seems our room is good for two beds but an extra bed was just added. It was not comparable to some triple bedroom photos I've seen. There was also no room for us to lay our luggage set because of the tight space..

Can't complain about our stay in the hotel. The location is at the heart of Dotonbori and near Namba station. The hotel provides free hearty and breakfast, unlimited ramen, icecream and Sake. The hotel provides free mobile WIFI and toddler stroller. They also had the free Japanese traditional outfit for guest to wear while strolling the Dotonbori Street food Mecca. But most of all the amazing staff that were very supportive of their guests . Definitely will come back again!!!

I have experienced the best emotions related to a hotel I have stayed for a business trip! Dotonbori hotel turned my work into a pleasure! The hotel is centrally located on the most interesting and attractive pedestrian street in Osaka, close to two railway stations and a metro station. Easy to travel wherever you want. The hotel offers some complementary benefits that can help international guests feel comfortable in Japan and indulge in Japanese culture. I enjoyed free pocket Wi-Fi, delicious Japanese / Western breakfast, a cup of noodles, beer and highball frozen, coffee, tea. At Dotonbori hotel, you will have the chance to wear a kimono for free and turned for a short period in a beautiful Japanese lady. What a feeling!!! All the time you will be embraced by the smiling and pacifying while professional care of the staff! Thank you Dotonbori hotel.

Everything was prefect exceeding my expectations!!!

The hotel had regular events, like kimono wearing sessions, which added a unique cultural touch to the experience, making it more enjoyable. Additionally, the complimentary cup noodles and beer offered after hours exceeded my expectations, providing a great way to unwind after a long day out. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of the standout features of this hotel is its prime location, situated just a 5-minute walk away from the bustling Dotonburi tourist area and the train station. This proximity made exploring the city and getting around incredibly convenient.

The rooms in this hotel are on the smaller side, making them best suited for light travelers or those who don't require a lot of space. This could be a consideration for guests with a lot of luggage or who prefer more room to move around.

Dotonbori Hotel was a wonderful experience and after staying in 2 other hotels during our trip we realised just how wonderful it was, we will definately stay again. When arriving at the hotel you are instantly hit by the iconic facade, after having a chuckle and taking photos we entered and was surprised at the incredibaly upmarket interior. This hotel exudes the character of way above a 3-star hotel. The cleanliness and maintenace of the main lobby was excellent. The professionalism and warmth from the staff was welcomed after a long journey. The level of English by the staff was very impressive and made my feeble attempts at checking-in in Pidgeon Japanese feel futile (in a good way ofc). Check-in was swift and easy. I didn't do my research properly because I wasn't aware of the free rental items (pocket wi-fi was of main interest) and complimentary beer, ice-cream and noodles in the evenings! All of these you are welcome to enjoy in the lobby or take to your room. Culteral events are held in the hotel, such as dressing in traditional clothing and experiencing Japanese toys, unfortunately we missed as we were busy. The hotel public areas were clean and well maintained throughout. At the end of our hall was a room with washer/driers, microwave, water dispencer and a smoking cubicle. There were humidifiers and kettles you can borrow and take to your room. The amount of thought and flexibility in what is offered is simply amazing. The room was big, equipped with TV, fridge and desk. Slippers and toiletries provided. Room service was to a high standered with towels changed and complimentry bottled water provided everyday. Breakfast was vast, varied and of good quality. The breakfast staff were really lovely, enthusiastic and efficient. The hotel is in an excellent area, close to the station, local attractions, with plenty of bars, resturants and shops only minutes away.

Attention to some cleaning in the bedroom would have been appriciated. The room overall was very clean but some areas, such as the counter by the TV, top of headboard behind the bed and some floor areas were quite dusty. This is was only minor but noticable for me.

Location at the heart of Dotonbori where all the eateries and shopping are around. Although a bit dated, the room is clean. The hotel has many events going on so gives a very good vibe. The free ice-cream, beer and soju, as well as instant noodles every evening gives a very fun and welcoming atmosphere. Cleaners will put new set of towels and amenities outside the room if you choose not to have the room make-up for the day. The coin laundry works very well. The staff is also very helpful. Great stay experience in Osaka.

The water pressure and controlling the water temperature is quite challenging as you need to adjust the cold and hot knobs and it may just change during the shower process. The bathroom is small but this is normal for Osaka as I understand.
