Beautifully decorated room, nice balcony with pleasant view, lots of extras in the Privileges rooms, plenty of good storage space. I especially liked all the shelves on walls, a really smart addition and very useful for travellers. Great breakfast buffet.

There were no instructions for anything so it was hard to work out the air conditioning unit, TV, Bose audio, etc. and had some trouble with temperature control, seemed like the room was a,ways too hot or too cold. Very difficult to prop the balcony door for fresh air. Initial instructions from the hotel about parking and dropping our bags were inadequate so our arrival was very confused and stressful.

Not only attractive, but very practical. Everything works well. The staff was helpful and responsive. The breakfasts were exceptional. Loved the balcony, felt safe in the shower (no fear of slipping) .

The location is really good, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The breakfast has good options. We very much liked the room, it was spacious (for Portugal) and the shower/toilet was spacious, well-equipped and functioned well. We had a nice view of the pool, which was quiet all night. The bed is comfortable, the tv works and had a decent mix of channels. The hotel seems to be well maintained as the furniture is in good condition, and the room and corridor look like it gets the occasional fresh paint. The staff are kind, helpful and hard-working.

This hotel was brilliant, the hotel was centrally located, only a 2 minute walk from the São Bento Station. The hotel was very welcoming when we arrived and were celebrating interntational womens day. The room which we were given, had a balcony which overlooked the outside pool, it would have been nice to have used, but it was raining everyday we were there, the hotel couldn't help that, but the room was quiet and peacful, the hotel looked like it had just recently been referbished which was good. The rooms were quite and the bed was large and comfy. We had also let them know that it was our delayed honeymoon and they kindly left us a small gift in the room which was very kind of them. They also have luggage storage which we could use on our last day as our flight wasn't until later in the evening. If we ever visit again I would certainly stay again.

The only thing to be aware was that due to the weather and time of year the outdoor pool wasn't availble for use. I think it opens from April onwards. Other than that there wasn't anything else which we didn't like about the hotel stay.

The hotel was well located close to the centre of Porto, with a convenient car park very close-by (Parking Don João 1). Room was comfortable (with a balcony) and well appointed, with a good view over the hotel’s garden and pool. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. There is also an external bar (next to the pool) which is a great place for an early evening drink! It was an easy walk (downhill) to the river side and then across the river to the Port warehouses in neighbouring Gaia.

We stayed in a great room, with a balcony with a view over the pool/bar area, but the bed-room area felt a little tight. A minor complaint, though. The hotel was expensive, but perhaps that is the price you have to pay for a well appointed hotel in the centre of Porto.

It was the best breakfast in Europe. I have been to Paris, Rome, Madrid, Athens, Dubrovnik, Dublin & Edinburgh. It had the largest selection of my other hotels. They had hot foods, cold foods, breads, pastries, juices, cereals, nuts, and fresh and baked fruit. Our room was a nice size and the hotel was clean and friendly. We felt welcome from the start. On top of all that, it was centrally located and walkable. You could easily catch the metro or get an Uber if you wanted and both were really cheap.

The pool area was a bit small, but adequate.

NOTHING AT ALL

Located in the city center of Porto it’s very easy to explore the city. Most sights are within walking distance of the hotel. The room was big enough, had a spacious bathroom, nice balcony and comfortable bed. The breakfast has many different and tasty options to choose from. It’s also possible to have lunch or dinner at the restaurant. There are also plenty of great options for food nearby. The hotel has a nice pool in it’s inner court which is nice to use after a day exploring Porto. Last but definitely not least, the staff is very friendly and helpful!

The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The whole experience was pleasurable. The swimming pool was a lovely area to sit after a busy day sightseeing. All in all a very enjoyable stay. We will recommend this Hotel to our friends and family. The location is excellent for exploring the city and crossing over to Gaia.

The breakfast buffet was a little disappointing in that the hot food was not HOT. The rest of the breakfast was good. Cold buffet, pastries and coffee excellent. A new toaster is needed - it took forever to toast a piece of bread!! The comments above did not spoil our stay but did need to be mentioned.

The hotel is in a perfect location - easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, well-stocked indoor market and the beautiful river. Staff are amazing - they are all extremely helpful and cheerful… and speak great English (which is very useful, even though I have tried hard to learn Portuguese!). The rooms are clean, tidy and have everything you need… and there is a wonderful breakfast buffet, with plenty of hot and cold choices, including alternative milks - great for vegans and those with dairy intolerance. Honestly - ten out of ten for everything - will definitely stay here next time I come to Porto!
