The breakfast was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very professional and friendly. The location was ideal for our purposes.

I wish information about parking had been clear prior to arrival, to avoid difficulties upon arrival. It’s not possible to pull up to the hotel to ask; you must search for parking nearby and then ask. In this case, we just located our own parking. Thankfully, there was a parking garage nearby.) Also, the blinds and some lights in our room were broken, so we couldn’t open the window easily. It would be too noisy with the windows open anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Excellent location and stuff , decor simple but very elegant . The lounge at the ground floor was my favourite. It reminded me of my house .

My room had some wetness in the carpet near the Ac which the hotel tried solving but they couldn’t.So whenever we opened the room to get inside there was an overpowering stink of the wetness

It was an intimate hotel that really seemed to care about and cater to the comfort of the guests. We really appreciated that the hotel arranged for a car/driver to pick us up at the airport and the driver was very pleasant and told us a bit about the City. We also deeply appreciated being able to check-in as early as the hotel could accommodate, especially since we had been traveling since the previous day. The morning breakfast was fabulous and delicious and again, the dining staff we very friendly and accommodating. We liked that it was a small and quiet hotel, the staff was very friendly, particularly Tomas who recommended some places to see and eat. It was a great start to our first trip to Lisbon and Portugal. The rooftop deck was a real bonus!

I really can't think of any thing in particular that I would suggest could be improved.

EVERYTHING. This place feels like a home for me in lisbon and I keep coming back. I love how generous they are from unlimited water, tea and coffee to apples! Breakfast is so varied and the staff are SO friendly. I always feel so welcomed and taken care of. There is a car park which is awesome, a big bath with nice hot water, great quality products, room service and the general atmosphere is cozy!

I love everything. Of course there is always something naturally but doesnt bother me. Sometimes in some areas of the hotel the walls are thin so noise can move around. Not too much but its really not bad.

Location was great, we could easily walk to a number of places, to others we took a taxi, they are not expensive as in London where we live. The staff was very helpful, kind. The lobby and adjacent rooms were large retaining an elegant traditional charm, very comfortable. The room was comfortable, as were the facilities. The look of the floors upstairs were a bit outdated could do with a lick of paint, but it did not bother us, we liked its elegant old charm. Overall a lovely place to stay.

As mentioned before it could do with a lick of paint and the marble floors in the bathroom could also do with some polishing to removed old stains.

Location and and a comfortable lounge to make you own tea and coffee and iced water open 24 hrs.

What a beautiful calm oasis. The decor and the free coffee set up is amazing in lobby. Despite room being compact everything was there and bed was so so comfortable. Breakfast served until noon. Amazing

I hate hotels where breakfast plates are not warm which meant food was stone cold by time you served yourself and got back to the table. I also have a suspicion the breakfast juices are watered down. The orange juice tasted a bit watery

It is a special hotel with a European atmosphere, not a cookie cutter hotel! The staff was more than helpful and accommodating. A wonderful experience.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like.

"+" great strategic location, close to Avenida da Liberdade, relatively quiet, free water, hot drinks in the lobby, decent breakfast, pleasant bar lobby, a little dated but with a grand hotel character, attentive professional staff who took our requests into consideration (a free room upgrade with a portwein was of course a very nice bonus ;).

"-" it took ages to get connected to wi-fi, at least 30 minutes if not even more, after that the connection was stable; it was a little cold in the room with outside temperatures at night being around +4C.

The location is fantastic, and the hotel is pet friendly. The room was quiet and cosy. The reception personnel was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well supplied including fresh products and pastries. Bubbly available, a plus. We twice had diner in the bar/restaurant area and we enjoy very much the food and the service, as well as the company of other guest, which is a nice to have. There is also a client self service area with coffee. tea and water which also is a plus. Many thanks.

The espresso coffee at breakfast was self-made using mighty Nespresso machines, but the final product fell short of our (Italian) expectations. We did not enquire if an in-house alternative source of "real" espresso coffee was available.
