Prime location in beautiful gardens above oldest part of Puerto de La Cruz. A well run hotel with very helpful staff. Generous room size. Excellent breakfast with everything you could wish for. Food in both ‘a la carte’ and residents restaurants in the evenings was good. A very interesting talk about the history of the hotel and garden was provided by one member of the family owning the hotel.

Parking was difficult. There were no free spaces at the hotel or in the public car park nearby. We had to pay 7 Euros per night to park in a gated car park belonging to the hotel. It was very disappointing and somewhat annoying to have to pay for a kettle and a supply of tea in our room. A fridge would also have been extra. As we were paying some £130 per night for bed and breakfast it was not particularly good value ……

My stay at the Hotel Tigaiga was wonderful. The staff were so incredibly helpful, polite and friendly - they all speak German, Spanish and English with apparent equal facility. The hotel is set in the most beautiful gardens and I spent many happy afternoons after long walks just sitting by the pool or in the garden drinking fresh orange juice and coffee. My room had a view of the volcano/mountain and the sea - just beautiful. It's a bit of a climb back up to the hotel after you have walked down to the sea front but that just works off the food that you have eaten in the evenings. The breakfast buffet was huge and I over indulged every morning. I recommend this hotel absolutely. Thanks to everyone for making my week long stay such a happy one.

It's a little thing really but the WiFi was not strong and I ended up just using my own data allowance instead.

This was a really outstanding stay. Beyond everything else (see at the bottom) what really surprised my wife and me was the friendliness of *all* staff, from the ladies at the reception to the staff at the restaurant (btw, ciao Nicola! - the chef, an Italian), to the Maids and the other staff - special mention to Jesus! - no one excluded. And I had 3 opportunities to properly "test" them... First, upon arrival I found two twin beds in my room (actually I didn't think I asked for a double bed while booking). I called the reception and tw minutes later a very kind and efficient young lady came to our room and changed the bed configuration. 1st problem solved! Second, I booked for mid pension by mistake (a GOOD mistake in this case: I just didn't notice breakfasts AND dinners were included while booking!) and found the restaurant closed too early for my arrival time. However, they were so kind to ask the chef to keep the kitchen open till late for us. 2nd problem solved!! Last but not least: in the morning my car didn't start (flat battery). I called the reception in case they may help and... a couple minutes later a kind guy called Jesus (omen nomen...) came there with a hotel's car, cables and extremely polite and friendly manners... 3rd problem solved!!! And this not to mention the friendliness of the staff at the restaurant (really everyone!), the really nice park around the hotel, the view and the free parking! Wow!!! All the experience was well behind our expectation: the hotel is the most quiet I have ever been (actually that's the reason we selected that hotel: by reading the review - we HATE noise, stag and hen parties, the norm all over Tenerife) The room was huge, the toilet was perfect, the food exceptional. Last but not least: 6 stars to the management, keep going like that!

Unfortunately a big construction site is near the hotel at the moment (a bit noisy sometimes but not all the time) - but this would not be a reason not to come back tomorrow if we had the chance to! Be aware you have to climb many stairs to go the city or beach! This wasn‘t a big deal for us and for sure taking the car is also possible. Parking space is nearby the hotel.

An absolute peach of a hotel, relaxing experience from start to finish. The lovely staff provides attentive but non-intrusive service, kudos for the whole team. The chef is a gem, food at the a la carte restaurant is incredible (tip: def try the mango gazpacho). Impeccably well maintained property, the lush grounds are a feast for the eyes. It’s a joy to kick back on a padded lounger around the heated pool, and laze away with birdsong in the background. Room is very comfortable, clean, and spacious. Atop a cliff facing Atlantic sunsets, and (on clear days) jaw-dropping Teide mountain views. The charming town centre is within a 15-minute walk - note the hilly terrain, taxis are aplenty for the way back.

Nothing negative for me, perfect base for a quiet chill-out holiday in the nicest part of Tenerife, with abundant excursion options….just book it

It was our second stay at this hotel and we were just as delighted as the first time. Starting from the extraordinary location, next to Taoro Park. The hotel is surrounded by wonderful gardens and the view from the rooms is magnificent, both day and night. The entire hotel staff is particularly kind, polite and helpful. They responded promptly to all our requests. The cleanliness of the entire hotel is impeccable. Varied breakfast, with fresh fruit, served in a delightful setting. There are free parking spaces near the hotel.

For the hotel parking, you have to pay extra, 7 euros per day.

Everything from the very warm welcome by the staff who were very soft spoken and guided us very nicely, to the amazingly clean rooms and very ample in size, the bathroom was super clean and quite big too and we loved the superb breakfast spread and the whole staff was so welcoming and nice there too. The swimming pool is amazing too and the gardens are so well maintained. They even got us a nice Berries juice by the poolside. The property is really very very well maintained. It shows the owners run it very nicely and take care of their staff as well as their guests very well!! I will recommend this hotel to all and will surely return again!! The location is very prime too, in the middle of nature, There is ample parking available just 2 mins away from the hotel and if there isn't, you can park inside the hotel's Gated Parking for 7€ a day. Our 2 year old Daughter was so sad because she didn't want to leave the Hotel and Go back home, they made her feel so special there!!

There was nothing that we didn't like!! Everything was so likeable!!

The hotel is located next to a very beautiful park. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. They speak several languages ​​fluently. The entire building and rooms are kept in very good condition and are clean. The view from the room to the garden, the volcano and the ocean is just amazing.

We expected a little more from a 4 star hotel. For example kettle and fridge in the room. And better coffee for breakfast. The food in the restaurants we visited in the city was much! better than the hotel restaurant. To get to the city center, you have to walk past the hotel under construction. And on the territory of the hotel sometimes you can hear the noise of drilling. Not the hotel's fault, but better to know about it in advance.

Beautiful garden, very good breakfast and lunch (and probably dinner, but we didn’t eat it). Amazing bread and fig butter for lunch. Wonderful hospitality, interesting hotel history, excellent pool and pool area, excellent views — both from the rooms and the pool. Two good armchairs, many shelves and surfaces in the room. I also got an amazing, beautiful birthday card — so kind, thank you! very good water pressure in the shower.

The things that definitely could be improved are the curtains and the coffee. The curtains are not blackout, it was a real problem for my wife; the coffee in a coffee pot tasted like instant coffee, although espresso form the coffee machine was very good. White walls in the halls made it look a bit like a hospital (it’s a matter of personal preference, of course, though); very thin and rather transparent wall between the bathroom and room — if a couple is staying, it’s easy to wake the other one up. (The idea is good — a glass window between the that can be open or closed, but because it’s thin, it’s a disadvantage). Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful hotel and we would love to come back.

The hotel is in a very quiet location high above the town. The garden is an absolute gem. Large room with wonderful view. The bunch of bananas right outside the hotel is a very nice touch. There is a plenty of free parking space next to the hotel

The dinner left us a bit underwhelmed. There is a rather limited buffet (mainly vegetarian options and cheese), while the entrée, main course and dessert are served at the table. We found that the main dishes were passable but not very good. The hotel caters to a mostly German clientele, so maybe our tastes are somewhat different. The wifi was good in the common areas, but practically unusable in our room. We were informed that the hotel is in the processes of updating the system.
