The food was above average for a four star hotel. The free parking, even tough it is quite small fitting only around 15 cars, not enough for the entire hotel.

The beds were terrible, those matresses should be in the garbage, sunken in the middle, a real back breaker. The night entertainment had below average singers, old material suited for older tastes. For the first time i saw a carpeted bathroom, i wonder how many diferent strains of bacteria it holds... there should never be a carpet in a bathroom for the sake of higene.

Staff were amazingly friendly, attentive and helpful. Room was spacious and seemed clean. Only 15mins walk to the centre of Puerto de la Cruz, which is easy for getting around.

Parking is available if you arrive before 4pm (this is during November). After then you’ll need to find a spot on the road for free, or you can pay €1.50 an hour at the shopping centre car park which is only 10mins away. One of our bathroom towels had a blood stain. The shower drainage system was not adequate, and caused water to spill into the bathroom. The shower head was also a bit broken and was leaking out the sides. Even though we confirmed a later checkout with the hotel via Booking.com, the hotel did not follow through with this and blamed it on Booking.com.However, the hotel staff were very helpful and gave us a room for a quick shower before we headed back home.

The location is pretty good, and walking distance to everything in Puerto de la Cruz. I had a spacios standard room with a spectavular view to Teide vulcano, so I'd admired it every day. Food was good and varied, many options for breakfast and dinner too. There is a pool but unfortunately, cold water, for the winter time.... 😃 It's a good 4stars hotel, but probably more suitable for seniors, which predominated here. The location its very beautiful, surrounded by vegetation. I recommend it!

Our room had a really beautiful view to the sea. The bed was amazingly comfortable, had a lot of pillows and the blankets were fresh but cozy at the same time. The hotel is always very clean, everyone are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was always tasty and had a lot of variety, the place where you eat your meals is right next to the pool where you can see the sunset at dinner. From the pool you can also see Teide. Amazing. Our special thank you to the receptionist Maria Luisa and the other gentleman that had glasses, they help us in different situations!

Our feedback is 99% positive in a 7 days stay. The 1% is just that the pool is not that big and it is mostly occupied with kids. We didn’t mind because we went to other places - we strongly recommend Lago Martianez! really near to the hotel. The breakfast was amazing but the dinner it wasn’t so good/tasty. But a lot of variety too. A suggestion: They should give a paper flyer with the music shows that are going to happen in the hotel for the week. They only put it on a board at the hallway and most of the people don’t see it.

Fantastic location, incredible views, comfortable room, great wifi (for remote working) and AMAZING staff: the chambermaids who worked tirelessly throughout to keep rooms immaculate; the lovely gentlemen at reception: Sebastien and Jose Miguel who were always professional, patient, helpful and informative; and Frans at the bar who custom made me my daily barraquito. You all made my stay super special and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The breakfast could be improved by having covers to keep the hot food fresher and stop it from drying out; a wider selection of fresh fruit would be appreciated and it would nice to have better coffee machines please (spot the caffeine addict...). My bigger issue is with Booking.com and how it manages bookings - I got charged 200 euros more than the advertised rate - but this has nothing to do with the hotel.

Everything was very clean and the service was great

We've read the feedback about this hotel before the booking, so we had already expectations and we knew its gonna be old. But we were pleasantly suprised when we saw it live, it was tidy, well located and offered great views. The staff is a separate topic - they were great! The head of administration was even personally looking after us when things changed with our Covid situation. They all looked after us that we would make and feel comfortable. Many thanks them for that. Also we were pleasantly surprised about the breakfast - the variety and quality exceeded our expectations.

The hotel is as it is - old, so don't expect to see the modern design and fresh smell of newly installed equipment. But the helpfulness and care of staff compensates all that.

The staff at El Tope is warm, welcoming, helpful and overall nice. The breakfast was also quite neat, including all the standard stuff + some local Tenerife products. Many touristic landmarks are at walking distance, and there's parking spots right by the hotel in case you are driving. Plenty of things to do at the hotel itself too if that's what you're aiming for. Price/quality ratio is quite good overall.

The hotel is located on a pretty steep slope, so walking up is quite tiring and for elderly people it might prove challenging. The WiFi was a bit slow and had some connectivity issues at times, but other than that, not much to complain about. Pool was freezing cold but that's understandable in the north of Tenerife and it being spring still when we visited.

We spent 2 weeks in this hotel with 2 kids. Breakfast and dinner were very good - selection of food was excellent and food was delicious. You can eat indoors or on terace near the pool with great view on Teide. The waiting staff, bar and cleaning staff were nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is near a small mall with a supermarket and apartment area with car rentals. The hotel provides sunbathing chairs with no additional cost.

The bar staff were very friendly but they did not clean lobby area to remove empty glasses in the evening. You can see work done on hotel area evary day, would be suitable for some renovation but still good value for money. Limited number of parking spaces, so if you are out of the hotel till the evening, you will have to look for the parking space in neraby streets.

The hotel is tranquil and plenty of space around the pool area. The bar and waiting staff were very friendly. The cleaning staff were also pleasant and helpful. The food was plentiful and nicely prepared. Every evening there were grill items e.g. salmon, sea bass and steak that were cooked to order at no additional cost. The hotel had a cool breezy atmosphere. You could eat indoors or outdoors and the hotel has fabulous views of tiede…if the cloud doesn’t hide it! The rooms are spacious and very clean.

The pool/restaurant area bar closed at 6. There was a lounge bar upstairs (sometimes with live music) but we would have preferred to have the bar downstairs opened in the evening as we didn’t want to sit inside. We could, however buy coffee and drinks upstairs then carry them ourselves downstairs …and outside! The choice of lunch items for those not on full board or all inclusive was limited to toasted sandwiches.
