Overall breakfast was v good - good variety and plenty of it. Location was superb - v easy access to the city centre and Grainger Town and of course the station.

The fruit juices at breakfast were very watery and poor quality. Also when busy the kitchen staff couldn’t keep up with the demand for clean cutlery and mugs. So we had to hang around waiting for cutlery while food got cold. The grouting in the shower could do with a good scrub in places. It wasn’t mould - just grime which would easily come off if cleaned properly which was disappointing.

Friendly, welcoming staff, great location. Good variety of breakfast choices, cereal, cooked, vegetarian option, pastries, tea coffee. Rooms - large showers👍 no bath in room I had, so if you want a bath, enquire, rooms very spacious & clean. Location - directly across from train station, very little noise, slight street noise from restaurants/bars nearby, nothing too loud, I did hear the bottle bins being emptied at silly o'clock but that was on the Sat night only. Overall fab hotel, staff very helpful & approachable. Look forward to visiting again👍

Would have loved a small mini bar/fridge for medication

Great breakfast. Location superb - right opposite station and in the heart of the city. Our room on the 7th floor was very quiet - couldn’t hear noise from the street. Staff were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful. Security guy on the door in the evening was a legend - made us feel safe and remembered everyone’s name. Impressed by how strict he was about who was coming and going and v necessary as reception is on floor 2.

One of the 2 lifts was broken so it took a long time to go anywhere. Would have felt even more secure if you could only get to the 2nd floor where reception is without a room key. Fruit juice at breakfast very watered down - expect better from a decent brand like Hilton.

Clean hotel right next to the train station. Fantastic location for shops and restaurants. It was very busy with Stag and Hen parties so I was worried about being woken up in the night by party people, I didn't need to worry, the hotel has a bouncer on the door and staff around in the evening to keep everything under control. I didn't hear a single noise in the night. Excellent choice at breakfast in the morning. The hotel also give a discount for parking (10 mins walk away).

My only tiny little complaint was the very watered down OJ at breakfast but I ran to Sainsburys and bought my own.

Breakfast was decent. The room was spacious and comfortable. Brilliant location being directly opposite the train station & around a 10 min walk from the multi-storey car park.

The air con barely worked in our room and we couldn’t open the window so it was really stuffy. However, we were only in the room for around a hour before going out for the day so it wasn’t worth asking to be moved rooms. We did leave the air con on whilst we were out in an attempt to ensure the room would be much much cooler when we got back, which it was. Otherwise, our stay was faultless.

Excellent location, very surprised at the size of the beds,as I had booked a twin room the beds were more like small doubles . Reception staff very helpful helpful, especially when I had to ring and explain that our flight had been cancelled, and would be coming a day later later than we had booked..

Unusual entrance, was a bit disappointed with the amount of items available within the room regarding tea and coffee. making, only four milks which I thought was a little bit stingey and nowhere obvious to plug in kettle, would have liked some way of being able to adjust the lighting as it seemed very bright. I was I was kept away by the sounds of water which I heard several times in the night, lasted about 10 seconds every time I heard it,also there was a dry grinding noise, which I put down to the lift going up annd down,as our room was reasonably close to the lift. Would have liked a little more choice at breakfast especially with boxed cereals, only two choices.

Large comfortable twin beds, and the room was quiet despite being city centre and ideally placed near the train station. Good choice at breakfast. I communicated with the hotel prior to our stay with an additional requst; it was handled promptly and I felt supported and understood.

It's a small point, but some symbols above the triple light switch would help, or a shower symbol to show which one is the bathroom. This caused so much confusion for us. Even two switches together, and a slightly separate one for the bathroom would help, especially at silly o clock when someone needs the loo and doesn't want to turn every light on!

All the staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful, professional. Even a fire alarm (thankfully false) was handled really well by the staff. Their response was calm and efficient. They were organised and efficient, and got us back in out of the rain as quickly as possible. Would also like to mention the impressive turn-out by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Services. Great location, convenient to train station, city centre and St. James' Park. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Room was spacious and very comfortable.

Only downside was Newcastle were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal :(

great location

city centre so expect no parking, although they recommend a parking facility and give you a voucher for a discount to claim when leaving the car park, the voucher did not work so had to pay the full amount for 24 hour stay, not the hotels fault at all but they need to get hold of the car park provider to inform them that the vouchers they are issuing in good faith do not work, so a little misleading for the hotel and the guest, the car park is getting the custom but not validating the voucher, how many guests does this happen to? I do not blame the hotel at all for this.

The breakfast was brilliant, very tasty and a wide variety to choose from - there was also dairy free milk options, and gluten free muesli along with a cooked breakfast, which was great for us. Rooms were very clean, my partner and I stayed in the accessible room and it was still decorated nicely with a lovely wet room ensuite.

Whilst the accessible room was good in many respects, such as furnishings, layout and cleanliness, the doors were very heavy for wheelchair users to open independently, as they were not automatic nor did they have a function to stay open. There was also only one lift operating, and they were very small - therefore it did take time to get up to our room or down to reception/outside. However, the staff were very helpful and once helped us by enabling access for us as wheelchair users to use the staff lift.
