Hôtel Cordelia Opéra-Madeleine

We chose Hotel Cordelia for the ideal location for us and a central point for most the main tourist sights, being our first time in Paris. The hotel itself is quaint and surrounded by lots of restaurants/bars and shops. The restaurant opposite seems very popular and at night you could here the buzz coming from there slightly, but it was no bother to us after exhausting days of sightseeing and good food/wine. All reception staff were friendly and obliging of our many taxi booking requests.

For us it was the perfect location and there's nothing we would change. Some may find the lift a bit too cozy if you're of a larger size or lots of luggage.

not notified that fridge in room wasn’t working which I believe is important as some of us travel with medications that need refrigeration particularly in august.

Location was excellent. Great cafe across the street. Train station very close.

I asked months ago to check in early...40.00 was applied to my pending invoice..but when checking in the hotel clerk had no info about our early check in. Was rather rude to me when I told her I was supposed to be checking in early...showed her my invoice of proof..and was asked when I received the invoice..as if I had manufactured the paperwork myself. She then was able to get us into our room after waiting half an hour

The Hotel Cordelia was among the best places I have stayed. The building, walking distance to the train station and two metro lines, is situated in a lovely neighborhood with reasonably priced restaurants. Shoppers will love its proximity to the Galleries Lafayette. The Staff were the best. They even arranged a ride to the airport at five am, which is even earlier than the Metro's first start. Staff were always courteous. There were several storms when I was there, and they were always quick to offer an umbrella. Breakfast, secure wifi are other pluses. The room was comfortable, neat and clean. Also, it was not tiny! While it was occasionally possible to hear mild noise from the restaurant with outdoor seating across from the hotel, the street was silent a reasonable hour. The lobby smelled like roses.

Too short a stay!

we liked everything thing about property: room with view of street (quiet); staff especially reception and dining. Special small things like about to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy in sitting room. Cleanliness and house keeping. Hotel is good location for shopping and The Opera, historical sites snd subway. A small (30 rooms) charming hotel. Staff speaks English snd patient with customers who are lacking in French.

Needs a little more room for clothing. Extra room to hang clothes rack.

Location and reception area. Bed comfy. Some noise outside when traffic rush hour so don't expect a lay in. But glad of the location for sight seeing as first time in Paris.

Small room. No complimentary mini bar for the price. Towels a little tired and could do with a refresh. No bottled water either. And soaps were just one does all so no separate conditioner. Expensive stay compared to other hotels. Breakfast extra charge so we didn't have it.

Didn’t have breakfast. Location central for all major tourist sites. Rooms and lift on the small side however a calm oasis and ambience and very clean.

We asked for twin beds in our booking and was confirmed, however was not the case when we arrived. It was sorted but with no interaction with the guests, done in silence and were asked if we could not just use the same bed. Also requested plug adapter which was not forthcoming.

Beautifully decorated, great location, very comfortable rooms. It felt very French! The staff were fantastic and incredibly helpful.

There was only 1 thing that wasn’t ideal about the property, the streets were very noisy at night and the air conditioning not working (switched off due to time of year) we slept with the doors open so we couldn’t close the noise out. However, having said that, I imagine this would be the case for almost all city centre hotels (so certainly not their fault)

Great no frills hotel but very clean, super comfortable beds and really good facilities for a 3 star hotel, staff were lovely. The location is unbeatable, really so central and near a number of metro stops etc. Exceeded our expectations.

Due to the amazing location it is a bit loud at night, as it is directly opposite a bar but that closed at midnight so not a real issue.

The location was excellent…I could walk to a lot of the sites I wanted to see and there were lots of metro lines nearby for when I wanted to go farther afield. I also loved the room I got…I had booked a single room but got one of the corner rooms with 3 windows and a king size bed! I loved the little monogram detail on the pillow shams…nice touch! The bathroom was a good size and was very clean and the shower had really good water pressure…very important for us North Americans! The staff were all very friendly and were very patient with my attempts to speak French.
