Kali Escandón Mexico City

Kali Escandon is an experience in hospitality in Mexico City. I stayed at the Junior Suite, complete with the jacuzzi tub and extra towels. Full air conditioning that was barely used as the weather was simply lovely. The shower was strong enough, hot enough, and just enough. Of course you can adjust as you prefer. Having breakfast from the on-site restaurant was a plus. They gave special request for room service at breakfast, much appreciated. The highlight for me as a solo traveler who didn’t speak the language was coming into Arrival with my luggage and seeing the hotel taxi driver carrying a sign with my name on it. That was such a relief. Check in was smooth and made even more pleasant by Isabelle. New on the job, yet totally personable and professional. She’s highly recommended!!! Will definitely stay here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pleasant neighbourhood, near metro and metrobus station but a bit out of the way if you want to visit the historic centre of Mexico City. Buffet breakfast with fruit, different kind of yoghurt (alas not unsweetened), muesli, bread, cake but also all you need to make tacos to your taste. There is purified water to fill your bottles for free. The room was large and confortable with a window. I especially liked the ATM in the lounge as it felt very safe not to have to withdraw money on the street. The restaurant of the hotel is a reasonable choice for dinner as there are not many options around. Kali Escandon is a great value for money with a thirty percent discounted-rate.

- We first slept in room 111 (near the lift and stairs) that was very noisy. The third night at our request we were moved to room 315 that was much quieter though not noise-free, but it's CDMX and traffic never stops. - Beware of the cold. This hotel, as many in Mexico, has no heating and it can be pretty cold in the rooms. - Beds are a bit old and need replacement.

This is a great place to stay! It’s near to local street food vendors, great cafe’s and local shops to purchase some great gifts and food. The hotel is well maintained and staff are willing to go out of their way to assist hotel guests. The reception/ kitchen/staff/house maids are of high calibre, very efficient, respectful, helpful and just delightful. The rooms are large, comfy and clean. A must to explore the large shop front across the road from Kali, main road. As you enter, it opens up to a world of vendors situation down tight aisles. The atmosphere is fascinating and the vendors offer many unique delicacices. Further down the street towards indoor rock climbing facility is an alternative to Mexican food called Dirty Fries and OMG bloody delicious. Another business well worth a look is located in the opposite direction to and in the venue I purchased many items from was a local leather shop and fresh bakery, bread rolls freshly baked along with numerous

The feedback relates to the need for a ramp to make access for us senior members of society, much easier process when arriving and going out daily. Also a person to assist with luggage as when I arrived no one was there to greet me and offer assistance, making a long flight more stressful! My last suggestion, is to consider some entertainment in restuarant area so patrons of the hotel would not have to venture out in the evenings but more importantly enjoy a true experience of Mexican culture. Oh and supply of Black Tea to cater to Western Culture

For the price, this place is a great find. The furniture might be a little outdated, but the bathroom is modern and clean, and everything is very well maintained. The bed was exceptionally comfy compared to other places I've stayed at this price point. Usually these sorts of hotels don't have integrated AC/heat in Mexico, but Kali Escandon does, which is a huge plus. I loved being in the heart of Escandon, right in front of the market. I appreciated them having filtered water available in the hall, so you can avoid using disposable water bottles if you want to. I didn't interact with the staff too much or visit the gym, but my experience with the staff was entirely positive. The breakfast was fine--not exceptional, but better than expected, given it was included with the room. I would definitely stay here again.

It would have been nice to have a mini-fridge instead of a massive TV and giant wooden desk-TV mount, but I'm really just being picky here. Overall, this place was great for the price.

It was great! Except that there's no ramp in the main entrance and it has about 7 steps. Also no microwave and fridge in the family suite room. Everything was good. Very clean, great staff

The hotel was quiet and peaceful in a residential area. The room was large and spacious. The jacuzzi tub was a worthwhile upgrade. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good overall and there was a good variety to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had one issue with the air conditioner and it was quickly fixed. The self-serve espresso machine in the lobby produced good coffee and was a nice bonus. The hotel helped coordinate laundry with the place across the street at a fair price. The 24 hour front desk is a great convenience and everyone there was friendly and polite.

The pillows were very hard and very thick. Some where labeled soft; these were equally hard, just a bit less thick. They were really exceptionally bad - we debated going out and buying some just to use for our time there. I ended up using my sweater instead The coffee at breakfast was poor and it was difficult you get the server to provide a cup, much less a refill. Maybe consider letting guests serve themselves.

I made this reservation for my parents (who are in their 60s) when they came to visit Mexico City, and they found their stay really comfortable. The room was large and clean, and the bathroom had useful amenities. On each floor of the hotel, there was a place to refill bottles with filtered water. The hotel staff spoke English and Spanish and were helpful with organizing transportation to the airport.

Maintenance requests were a little slow. The location is ideal for events at the World Trade Center but not for the city center. Luckily, Kali has another property in the center as well.

A great hotel in the leafy streets of the Escandon district. Great staff throughout. Large comfortable room. Good breakfast. It is possible to walk up to the large museum from here (allow a whole day if you do). Good restaurants within walking distance. Has a good carpark.

Staff is very welcoming from front desk to restaurant and housekeeping. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood with access to 2 barber shops, a 24 hour pharmacy, 4 taquerìas, and a huge mercado right across the street with a laundry service steps outside the main entrance. Also, the daily rate is one of the best I found near La Condesa.

Great staff (especially the gentleman who worked the night shift went out of his way to help us whenever we needed), huge rooms with comfortable beds, spotless when we arrived and staff was happy to refresh the room during our stay, the best showers we've ever had in Mexico, good location close to the metro or 20 min walk to certain Condesa and Roma areas, decent breakfast and hot water/tea/coffee always available. This place was a really nice and relaxing break from many of the average or mediocre places we've encountered during our travels
