VIP Executive Picoas Hotel

Service was amazing - aeighan (dinis?) at the bar was a blast and wonderful to talk to and served great Caiprinhias. The location was amazing - about 50 yards to the Parque stop on the blue line direct into downtown and near the Alfama. 50 yards from a nice parking spot off street for my rental car. About 0.5 mile from several nice shopping malls to break up the day. Also close to Parque Eduardo VII which had lovely views. Rooms were SUPER quiet too. And I almost forgot - on either side two great grocery stores - Pingo Doce and Aldi to pickup water and snacks / sandwiches to fuel our tourist trips into the Alfama and Belem. Some excellent restaurants nearby - Sangiovese and Il giardinetto both excellent. Nice coffee shop nearby for breakfast (Portela) Rooms were air conditioned and excellent in the 90F heat.

Small things - Wish the room had a pen and paper - When room service left the coffee pods they only left one (for a two person room) - Could not leave a tip for room service on the bill (we didn't always have small denominations of Euros on us)

Breakfast was really tasty. I am a vegetarian but I could find something to choose from. There was a selection of bread, cheese, jam, tea, coffee, there was also fruit served, a few warm dishes (scrambled eggs, cooked vegetables, champingions, some meat to choose from) the only thing I was missing at breakfast time was fresh vegetables. The room was spacious, clean (cleaned every day, towels changed regularly). There was a coffee maker, a kettle, in the bathroom there was a set of cosmetics, a hairdryer. The hotel has an excellent location, 5 -10 min by taxi from the airport, close to the underground station.

The only thing in the room which could be changed was the wardrobe, it was a bit too small for 2 people. However, we asked for some additional hangers and it was ok.

Hotel is about a 25 min walk from Rossio, which is the city center. However, this walk is a very nice one as you walk through one of the main avenues. Also, the hotel is located within a business and commercial zone, so there are plenty of cafeterias and stuff nearby. About the hotel itself, rooms were big, as well as the private bathrooms. It was very comfortable and clean, and stuff was genually kind. It is also very close to the underground, in case you do not want to walk to the city center. It is also very easy to get in and out of the city by car from this location.

Me and my husband stayed for our vacation(4 nights) at the VIP Executive Picoas Hotel, and I must say that from the first step, we felt as comfortable as at home and especially due to the reception staff: special thanks to Luis, Carla, Carolina and Nuno for their utmost helpful assistance and attitude/advices, that made our stay in Lisbon unforgettable!:) We definitely recommend this place and really hope to come back again!

The hotel gives you so many positive vibes, that we did not search for any bad things)) Just need to upload new photos of the Hotel, as in real it is much better than on existing ones))

Hotel is very lovely with a bar downstairs. My room was small but very clean. The bathroom was spacious and shower was exceptional! The location was also perfect as it took me about 15 minutes to get anywhere. There is also a supermarket next door and a few cafes/ restaurants close by.

Room is on the smaller side but not a big deal. There was an odd smell in my bathroom and I couldn't figure where it was coming from. It did not permeate the entire room and oddly, it was only in one section of the bathroom. I didn't bother to notify staff about it- it was just weird.

The hotel is very beautiful from you enter the hotel until in our bedroom we'll decorated picture frames are gorgeous , staff from the reception to domestic were very helpful.

During our check in I asked one of the receptionists who was dealing with us I asked her if there is any restaurant nearby she hand me a calling card " Colina restaurant" it was very far from the hotel infact when we came back we saw a restaurant on the corner the same building in picoas hotel Pingo doce. They should recommend this restaurant in the future especially those who came in Lisbon for the first time.

Cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Location was very good.

No breakfast in the hotel. When I asked at reception I was directed to a cafe a couple of doors down which was part of the supermarket. Not very impressed with that option. Also no restaurant option for dinner in the hotel, although the restaurant they suggested was very nice and opposite the hotel. I think it was called Butcher and no it wasn't all meat options :-) I later found out there was a restaurant in the hotel which I think was revamping their menu's etc so it might have been communication issue but it is certainly not obvious that there was a restaurant!!

Breakfast was very nice with good options. The pasta de nata was very tasty. Theres outdoor seating in restaurant area for breakfast, unfortunately it was just a touch cold in the morning for us or would definitely sit outside. Room was tidy with good amenities. Location was convenient to metro line and not too much traffic noise through the night so can get good sleep.

All was nice. The towels could be a bit softer and fresher smell. TV channels was a bit limited on movie channels but wasn't a problem as we didn't spend too much time in the room.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the hotel itself is rather nice, having everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The staff is professional and polite.

We requested a quiet room but got one of the noisiest. The room lacks soundproofing so earplugs are recommended.

The room was quiet, big, clean, the bed big and comfortable. The was a wardrobe, minibar fridge and cabinet, a small desk, chair and a nice bathroom. The TV had several English language channels. There was a coffee machine, electric kettle, two places and cutlery. I was greeted by a big bowl of fruit. There were no problems in requestig wineglasses and for the bottle to be opened. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would gladly stay in this hotel again.

There was one minor thing and I only mention this because I stayed there for 9 nights. The windows require cleaning from the outside because it was difficult to see what the weather was like. However, I understand they can only be cleaned from the outside, so this does not affect my rating.
