Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey

I LOVE this place, I have a BTL in Enfield so I stay here when I have matters to attend to, the staff are friendly and chatty, the hotel is cool with a nice airy feel, The rooms are nice a modern, the gym and pool are EASY ACCESS which is great and are nicely appointed. Some ducks sometimes sit on the wall outside the gym. A nice touch, I don't know if the hotel pay them. The FOOOOOOD is excellent the breakfast is just the best, a huge array right there in buffet format. I LOVE THE BREAKFAST, I generally fuel up then work all day, so I'll say it again I LOVE THE BREAKFAST

The property is being updated and we had two rooms that have been updated, they were spacious and however there is no AC and the rooms would get really warm. we would set the air conditioning to 60 and it wouldn’t cool at all. We had to sleep the two nights with the windows open. The staff were wonderful, always friendly & helpful, the food was amazing! and the pool is great for families with a low enough section for toddlers to play. Overall it was a great stay and we would be willing to deal with the heat ☺️

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the beds were really comfortable.

I emailed the hotel in advance to request a quiet room, received an email saying a room had been reserved for me in the quietest part of the hotel. When I checked in the staff at the desk had had no notification of this, but said we could have a room in the quietest part of the hotel. Unfortunately, there was a guest in a nearby room who was unbelievably noisy - lots of shouting going on until after 4.30 am. Not the hotel's fault though, and as I didn't have the energy to get up and investigate where the shouting was coming from I didn't ring reception to let them know.

The room was spacious, very clean, and the bed extremely comfy. The hotel has a large lobby, very relaxing after a full day. Very friendly and helpful staff. What I enjoyed mostly was the swimming pool, and the spa, which consists of a steam room and the sauna. Overall, we had a very nice experience and would definitely stay here again.

Lighting in the room could be improved, and it was unusual to not find the fridge in the room (the room seemingly once had one that was boarded up).

Room was comfortable. The swimming pool was excellent. Breakfast was above average.

I was told by reception that the rooms are usually cleaned once every three days, which I have to say did surprise me. Having sat down on the chair in my bedroom I did find a nut underneath the bed. I do think they should review their policy of every three days, and make sure that all the bedrooms in cleaned every day.

Cleanliness was fabulous, restaurant food and bar was very good. Room was a good size with a very comfortable large bed and large bathroom. Staff were professional, friendly and welcoming. Location was easy to find and quiet despite being close to main roads and motorway.

Room heating / cooling unit was quite loud at times after changing room temperature when trying to sleep. There was plenty of food available for breakfast, it was just on the warm side rather than hot.

The staff made my stay! Friendly, and genuinely warm, Courteous and hard working. Was in a newly refurbished room, which was very clean, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast tasty. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel!

Just some small things that didn't spoil my stay. Would suggest bottle of water in room. Mini bar. Also new showerhead - it didn't fit properly in the housing! It must of been new though, so that's a plus.

bar closed at 11.00 , no food available on room service although it offers 24 hour room service not being able to book room on our arrival had to go to a table in reception area to book in on line . our car broke down and we were towed to this hotel by the AA .one major dislike , when paying £120 for 1 nights bed only stay one would expect to drink your bedroom tea or coffee in proper cups not Paper cups and when I queried this I was told it wasn’t anything to do with COVID it was just a company policy Discusting .

Food and bar were good, room was good as requested non feather pillows and that was implemented,

The room was sooooo noisy it was right next to the leisure club generator and kept us awake all night it was like being on the runway at Gatwick, So annoying as it was our daughters wedding the next day which we were so tired at because of being awake all night!!! Would definately not recommend that room unless you were DEAF !!

Good idea to have three pools. Pity the disabled host was broken. Could do with a jacuzzi then would be perfect. Staff were exceptional nothing too much for them

Woodwork in corridors and rooms need a good rub down and painting. The plug holes next to the beds were round pins not very good because my sister needed to plug in her breathing machine. But staff did find us an extension cable.
