Our room "Dangerpoint" was as described very spacious and very comfortable with lovely nautical theme décor. Walk-in shower is amazing. Room exceptionally clean and well equipped. Sea view is amazing as is location of hotel. Dinner was delicious and menu selection ample choice with smaller portion option. Bar is very rustic as is restaurant with coastal, seaside theme. Town is great base for touring Angus and Kingdom of Fife.

Given name of establishment had anticipated decent selection of ales and beers however draught beers very limited. Ideally microbrewery could be fantastic though probably not feasible really. Orange juice served with breakfast obviously concentrated variety and fresh orange would be favourable.

Location. Location. So central. Free parking. Easy walk into Harbour and restaurants. Dog friendly. Fabulous beach just up the road. Sea front property

Cooked breakfast no longer comes as standard. It is extra. Instead a packed cold breakfast is provided. The pre packed croissant was not nice and we got apple juice instead of requested orange juice. We don’t care for apple juice. May seem a trifle but add that to the unpalatable croissant and it’s most of the packed breakfast. The price we paid for the room merited at least a bacon roll. Our off road was like an oven and really needs a fan

This was the coolest little Inn above a pub/restaurant. I felt like I had been transported in time, except for the modern facilities in our room. The staff were wonderful, we were leaving early the next morning and would not be able to stay for the 10 am breakfast, so the hostess put a breakfast basket together for us, including milk and juice in the refrigerator in our room. Were also contacted months before our arrival asking if we would like a reservation in the restaurant. I am so glad we did. It was one of my best meals of our 14-day holiday. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, with the low ceiling and beams from the 1700"s and the large fireplace and mantel.

Beautiful, quiet place by the sea. Staff made us feel very welcome and saved us a table for dinner at the restaurant. We had Smokie (freshly smoked fish), which is a local specialty and it was excellent! The room was located on the first floor right above the restaurant, and although we could hear other guests entering their rooms, it was very quiet otherwise and the noise from the restaurant could not be heard. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast could be put together individually. They offered a broad array of options ranging from Scottish breakfast items to cereal or porridge. The food was very delicious.

The only thing that could be complained about was the creaking wooden floor.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning and within easy reach of all amenities in the town centre. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the bathroom was very big with a large shower, perfect. The girls in the downstairs bar/restaurant were always bubbly and nothing was any trouble for them at all. Also the bed was very comfy and the bedding was wonderful.

Only thing which was a little disappointing was there wasn't any cooked breakfast which we booked. We did however have a lovely Continental breakfast bought to our room every day. We do understand their reasons for this but would have loved something warm to set us up for the day everything else was just perfect.

Location on the Old Harbour, able to sleep with open windows and hear the North Sea. Room was extra large and a happy surprise. Rachael and Clair were exceptionally helpful staff!

All these items are subtle nuisances but over days began to wear on me: Two bedside lamps while decorative, were not tall enough for reading or writing; desk was lovely and spacious with no lamp; locks on my room and outer doors sometime stuck; wifi pass codes have to be changed each time for upstairs and downstairs; there's no access to the restaurant/bar area after breakfast just to sit, write, or organize your day. Learned later that by law, outlets are not allowed in the bathroom! Challenging to use a blowdryer where the outlet was located.

Great setting & view. Sweet staff. Easy parking although small lot. Quiet. All rooms are on 2nd floor so that gives a nice view. (I believe that’s stated in the reservation info so pay attention that you’ll need to walk one flight of stairs.) Our room had 2 chairs & mini frig making it convenient. Everything worked. We’d stay here again. Good restaurant downstairs. Try the Smokies Gratin & Steak Haggis burger. Town seemed easily walkable too.

Absolutely loved the setting, right in the harbour with stunning views. The staff were extremely lovely and friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious and a reasonable price. The room was amazing, with a fabulous sea view. A lovely touch was the couple of sweets on each pillow, very nice thought💕

There was no breakfast available until 10 am which was a little late for us. But that was our only negative point.

The hotel was very near the webster Theatre and it was a very lovely small hotel and it was my first time staying there and I would stay there again and I was only there overnight so I can't write that much about it

The first thing I didn't like about it you should be allowed to check in up to 10or 1030 because I came from Dundee the time I got there it was time for my concert I was going to see and I never had time to go to the hotel to tell them and in the morning I never had a shower because there was no hot water

Great location, fantastic room with sea views, the room is modern and lots of space, spotlessly clean. We had the steak pie for dinner. This was also great quality. The staff were very friendly and attentive, we would 100% return.

Not fans of the continental breakfast, but understand why the hotel feels the need to use this option. We paid extra for the full cooked breakfast, and it was well worth the additional cost.
