The staff at The Townhouse are by far the friendliest, most welcoming and attentive staff I have ever come across! They are all fabulous! Very spacious, comfortable room. Very good food in the hotel restaurant. I visit Arbroath regularly this is now my go to place. Thank you for a charming stay and thank you for such pleasant interactions with every member of staff we encountered.

Not a criticism of the hotel but our view wasn't the best. However, we don't spend a lot of time in our room so this was not an issue for us, and would certainly not prevent future visits.

The staff were so friendly and attentive, we travelled with a toddler and they made so much fuss over her and made sure we had everything we needed for her. The room was clean and had everything we needed and the location was great if you come out the hotel and turn left you can walk to the beach, amusements, outdoor pool and parks. Lots of chippys and the harbour. If you go to the right lots of shops and the abbey also cafes. We didn’t walk miles but there seems to be loads to do. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the menu sounded lovely.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, attentive to your needs in a timely manner. Honestly would move heaven and earth for you if they needed to. Great range of food and drinks at a reasonable price point. Cleanliness of our room was perfect upon arrival, and this standard was kept on the daily tidy up from the housekeeping staff!

My only dislike is that the single beds are very small. It might just be because it’s been forever since I’ve slept in one but as a fat man that was definitely a tight squeeze for me not to fall out the bed 😂

Good location, attentive and welcoming staff, good restaurant, new furniture, unoccupied power plugs in all the right places.

Rooms looked different than in pictures (not worse, just different). The most impractical shower even for British standards (who thinks separate warm/cold controls at mid shin height is practical, especially when you cannot bring down the shower head near the controls?). Somewhat noisy ventilator/AC outside the window (ear plugs provided).

Staff were lovely, and immediately responded to a small complaint I had politely. Location brilliant, shops and harbour on the doorstep Quiet, they provided ear plugs as a just incase the seagulls were noisy Comfy bed and room Lift Everything needed

Having to walk through pub/restaurant to get to room, although wasn't to much of an issue as people were sat down. Finding someone had left underpants behind bathroom door, but staff responded immediately to this issue 🙂

The staff were really approachable and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was exceptional value for money, decent size, big bathroom and spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable, with good quality linen, and extra pillows were appreciated. We could hear someone snoring through the walls but that's not the hotels fault, plus my partners snoring is horrendous so no doubt some other poor soul was suffering that in another room! The hotel does provide complimentary earplugs, which were a nice touch. We had breakfast one morning and found the food excellent quality and good value for money. We managed to park in a street just behind the hotel, no parking charges but make sure you aren't in a limited time zone. We will definitely stay again in the future and would recommend!

The shower in our room was connected to the taps, which made it a little difficult to regulate the temperature. Water pressure also dipped a few times but it was manageable!

Breakfast was hot and looked and tasted good.Waiting staff were very friendly especially Susan.Evening meal excellent which resulted in 4 clean plates.

Thin walls in bedroom so next doors television caused us issues and resulted in us banging on the wall at 1am to ask them to turn it down.Complained after 1st night and second night was quieter but could still hear it.Double bed was small and could have done with a lamp on both sides of the bed.

Best thing here, as last time, was the staff, who are very friendly and helpful (can they roll this out to other hotels?). The room was basic having solid furniture, a table with drawers and stool, bedside drawers and lights, an open wardrobe with 6 hangers. The large window opened. There was a radiator but we didn't need it. A kettle with tea, coffee etc. The bathroom had alarm cords in the room and bathroom. However the mixer shower was over the bath and it would be hard for a disabled person to climb into the bath. There was a heated towel rail. We didn't hear any seagulls from this room!

Nearest car park is a public one. The high-sided bath. There was a fire drill when we were there and the nearest fire exit was past the kitchen on the first floor. I thought this could be dangerous as the fire could have been there. Once outside, (the restaurant didn't seem to have evacuated) I was informed that there was a second exit the other way.

It was in an ideal location, staff were very welcoming & helpful. Hotel was nice & clean also had a lift which we now find very helpful. The room was nicely furnished & had a good shower. Found the bed a bit soft but thats just a personal thing. The meals were delicious & the place had a happy friendly vibe.

There was no heating in our room on 2nd night of our stay nor the corridors along the hallway, spoke to a staff member who said they’d see to it but nothing happened…was disappointed.

The friendly and welcoming staff were great from the outset. Rachel, Shannon & Stuart looked after us well when we first arrived - helping give directions to Hill Street carpark and having a pint of Belhaven ready on our pre-booked table as my husband said he’d definitely be having one (or 2) when we checked in. We ate here on our first night. the food was delicious, hot and plentiful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The seagulls are noisy blighters..I discovered some free ear plugs on day 2 acknowledging the racket that they make. but still as it was quite warm we had to leave the window open so the earplugs didn’t really help. I asked for a fan when we got in on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Ryan, the friendly night porter, when to see if he could find me one but sadly to no avail. so another warm night with the seagull backing track.
