It's a stunning property in a truly beautiful little hamlet. If you're looking for the "picture perfect" traditional British inn, this place is it! Beam, horse brasses, flag floors, open fires, pub grub and lots of real ale!

If you're a light sleeper, grab some earplugs because anyone moving around in the corridor or floor above will cause the floorboards to squeak - but it's a partly thatched pub from the 17th century... you should be expecting a few squeaks and rattles - it's part of the charm. The shower was a little tight for taller chaps like me, but again, the place is so beautiful you will excuse a smaller shower.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was a good size and had all we needed. Enjoyed evening meal and breakfast. Good quality. A drink each in the room was a nice touch and appreciated. The shortbread also delicious.

Keeping an eye on carpet in restaurant and removing food debris. Appreciate difficult if many customer in. Instead of crossaints and toast be nice to have a option for all, bran, fruit and yogurt. Perhaps also a lighter omlette on the breakfast menu

All the staff including the chef bent over backwards to make sure we had a lovely wedding anniversary. They made us feel really special and met all our needs. The food was lovely, the desserts were some of the best I've ever eaten and the prices were very reasonable. The room was decorated very nicely, it's a very quiet location so easy to sleep. It's a very small village, if you're looking for a rural and picturesque break this is perfect. Very close to the Rollright stone circle which we enjoyed visiting . Perfect for a quiet weekend away from the kids.

The beds are quite small but my husband is 6'5 and it's a 17th century pub so we didn't expect them to be large

a really nicely presented nicely preserved pub with rooms - lovely winding staircases

I just need decent coffee! if there’s not a Nespresso in the room then I need to have good coffee supplies by the kitchen . it’s not fair to mark it down on this (my last stay on Booking.com I took my coffee machine with me.. I’d also prefer a bath but realise the building was not geared to offer this and the shower was good enough for overnight

Six bedrooms above a country pub. Very quaint and cosy. Very old building so obviously no sound proofing - fine once everyone has left the building/gone to bed. Very friendly and helpful staff - felt very personal. Standard pub food in the evening. A good cooked breakfast in the morning.

Public space (ie in the bar area) is pretty small, with no comfortable seating. Sadly, due to delivery problems, the fires were not lit - which did detract from the cosy Christmas atmosphere. The bed was very small (room 6) but comfortable. Shower room was also very small, but adequate.

Very friendly landlord and landlady. Nothing was too much trouble for them in this delightful and atmospheric very old pub. The beer (Horizon) was very much to my taste and the food served up at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. The room, though on the small side, was very well appointed and spotless. We were not expecting much when we booked (old pub etc.) but we were completely blown away. Would definitely recommend a stay.

The room was small (room 3) but it is an old pub which was built when rooms were small. The ensuite was even smaller and there was just enough room to use the loo. I am 5'9" and the bed was just about long enough for me. However none of this distracted from what was a most enjoyable stay in the beautiful little Hamlet which is Great Tew.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were lovely. Had a meal both evenings. A few things not on the menu the first night but back on for the second night and the food was delicious. Room was small but perfectly formed and very comfortable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous inn in gorgeous, tiny Cotswold village. Very characterful, with excellent taste in beautiful trad but up to date bedrooms, with terrific new baths. Very personable staff, great breakfasts, and great food period. Our favorite inn in England. Everything is just as it should be.

Nothing.

The Falkland Arms has dropped right out of an old English novel, one of rolling countryside and friendly village inns. You could imagine people from yesteryear tethering their horses outside and entering to a roaring fire and a tankard of ale. Our arrival walking across the fields and the first sight of the inn, we had to pinch ourselves. Please never change.

Lovely setting, historical. Like walking back in time. Clean and tidy. Welcoming staff. Food very good quality in pub.

It’s a little bit in the middle of nowhere. Nice walks in surrounding areas. Only stayed a night, so didn’t get to explore much but had to drive 50mins to get to Cotswolds.
