The Dolfor Inn0

Friendly and welcoming staff. Pub in great location for what we wanted. The food was great, although perhaps very slightly pricey. Would have been good to have more red wine by the glass as only 2 or 3 options available. Infact it would have been a wider selection of drinks available. Only one choice for rum, and a couple for gin. We had the family bedroom which was gorgeous to stay in. The king size was huge and extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again - the new owners are clearly working hard to make this a friendly and welcoming place.

I had a wonderful stay at the Dolfor Inn last weekend. I was travelling for work and made contact before to arrange picking up a key early and a vegan breakfast, both of these requests were answered swiftly and Shane went above and beyond to make sure they were arranged. I stay in a lot of similar Inns when working across the country and this has to be one of the best, the bed was incredibly comfy (so much so I took a picture of the mattress protector as I want one!) The room was immaculately clean and I had a beautiful view. The breakfast was amazing and there was great care taken in making sure I had everything I needed. Shane was incredibly welcoming and I enjoyed chatting. 100% recommend and will be coming back with my partner!

Very comfortable accommodation is an historical country Inn, with a great atmosphere. Great location with superb views, with parking space. We stayed in the large family room, which is stunning (wooden framed), very comfortable, and boasts a massive and pristine bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower. We felt very welcomed and staff was super friendly, putting us at ease from the first moment! We had dinner and breakfast and food was delicious! Loved the atmosphere of the pub. Great place for a retreat or a well-earned rest after a walk, cycle, or long travel!

The room was spacious and warm with a lovely large bed. Bath robes were provided as our own well appointed, large bath/shower room was just across the corridor. The evening meal was excellent and reasonably priced as was the cooked breakfast the following morning. Spacious, free car park containing the separate guest entrance. We had called here for a lunch in 2019 and decided next time we were travelling though North Wales and on into Somerset that is was a good s;pot to break the journey. We booked to stay both ways this year and will do again in 2022.

Nothing could have been improved in our opinion.

The staff friendly, had a lovely stay the Inn is beautiful and immaculate, the Welsh breakfast was superb kept me going until late in the evening. Coffee red hot and just what I like in a caffeteire. Wonderful view and very peaceful. Finally the prices for the drinks at the bar and meals in the restaurant very reasonably priced, especially during the cost of living crisis we are all facing.

I did attempt to have a bath in the morning, unfortunately hot water didn't arrive

Having travelled to nearby Newtown for a conference, The Dolfor Inn provided a haven, with a wonderful room (Room 1), with ensuite facilities and a field of sheep as near neighbours. Everything was immaculately clean, with lovely white bedding and towels. Breakfast was served in the Inn. The choice of hot food included an omelette; delicious! Hope to be able to return for a more leisurely break sometime soon.

Everything was great. The stairs to the room are steep. I was fine, but some people might want to consider this.

.We stayed at the dolfor in for one night . Such a lovely place to stay , the room was just perfect and had everything we needed, spotlessly clean , beautiful views .we had our evening meal which was the one of the best home cooked meals we have ever had ( proper homemade chips ) . Breakfast was the same ..delicious:). Nothing was to much trouble ..such lovely people ..we had a great time ..cant Recommend it enough. Well done both of you ..we will definitely be back ..thankyou x

Perfect stop over for us en route to Yorkshire from West Wales, just outside Newtown, up along and winding road in the most beautiful countryside. Shane was very accommodating and a swift communicator. I left a dress and he called to let me know so we could arrange to collect it on the way back. The room was super clean and really comfortable with pretty views, and the dinner in the restaurant downstairs was spot on, really good pub food.

The accommodation is to a high standard. The rooms are very comfortable with quality fixture, fittings, bedding etc. The food is second to none, again the quality and presentation are to a very high standard. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients.

There is nothing that I didn’t like at the property.

We had a lovely night at the Dolfor Inn. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially T, and gave us a nice warm welcome. It felt very clean and covid safe generally around the place, and in the room and en suite. The bed was very comfy and the room we had had beautiful views of the countryside. We had an evening meal, and then breakfast in the restaurant, both of which were very good and obviously all cooked fresh. The bacon especially was amazing! I would definitely recommend and would love to go back again sometime.

There wasn't much to dislike really! There were a few flies in the restaurant which were a bit annoying but we have been in a heatwave so I don't imagine it is a constant problem.
