Bedford Hotel

it was clean and well organised. The staff were friendly and knowledge and efficient. Nice hotel. I was in room 419.

there is a loose metal manhole cover in the street - as traffic passes over it, there is a loud clang sound. I could hear it through the night. This was my only complaint 👍

The location of the hotel is perfect, in a lively street with restaurants, souvenir shop, grocery shop, pharmacy, very close to main of the atractions, 10-20 mins walk. The Biritish Museum is a 3 mins walk and the Oxford Street is 15 mins walk. It is a 15 mins walk to the West End if you would go to a theatre. The Holborn Station is 3 mins walk and through it goes the Picaddily Line which is the main line to the Heathrow. The Bedford Hotel is very clean. Comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent with vegetables, fruit, toast (no bread), ham, cheese, croissants, chocolate, honey and jams, milk, greek yogurt, juices, tea and coffee (excellent coffee from the machine) and full English breakfast. The staff is very helpfull and polite. The last day we stored our luggage in the store room in the lobby and there was no problem.

The walls between rooms are quite thin so you could hear your neighbours if they are loud. The hotel has two sides-one is a street side which is a little bit louder, and the other is a garden side which is quiet.

The location is excellent. It's an easy walk to 2 tube stops, one block from a lovely park, and around the corner from the British Museum. Loads of handy shopping nearby, even a currency exchange store right across the street! Breakfast was great. There were lots of options and everything I had during my stay was quite good. There were several nice restaurants and a pub close by too. The laundry service was excellent. Clothes were clean and neatly folded, and were returned on the same day.

The bathroom was really very small and narrow. The door opened in rather than out, so it was constantly in the way, no matter what I was doing. I wish the designers had put a bit more thought into the human engineering there. Please ask housekeeping to go easy on the perfumed spray in the hallways? It was overpowering - and not in a good way. Luckily, the scent did not infiltrate the bedrooms.

The room was comfortable and the size was bigger than I expected. I was excited that the bathroom had a bath as most hotels in London would only have a shower room. The TV in the room was great with lots of apps and features including Netflix although you need an account. Bed was comfortable too. Breakfast was great with lots of varieties for different tastes, I especially liked the porridge with raspberries that you can request from the chef to make fresh.

The price is typical for London but I would have loved a small gym room.

Great location. Loved the garden and water features. The bar and restaurant areas were tastefully furnished. Breakfast was really good, excellent choice and food hot. Great coffee.

Would have liked a fridge in the bedroom as when we visited it was 30 degrees, we would have liked to keep our drinks cool As in previous comment, bar area was lovely but sadly closed at 10.30pm. We arrived back from the theatre looking forward to having a drink in the garden but the bar was closing. We’ve always had drinks much later than this at other hotels. And this was a Saturday evening!

The hotel is nice, clean and new You feel independent and not bothered at all Check in an check out are easy and the staff members are all so welcoming and helpful The room is well equipped and the heater is efficient The location is good if you want to do London by walk while staying in a quiet street. Many restaurants are around the block and there is a supermarket is 2 mins away. Two underground stations are nearby (5 mins walking). All in all i will definitely return to this hotel when i go back to London

One negative point is that the room doesn’t have a mini fridge. If you are too sensitive to noise you might be bothered.

The hotel is close to Russell Square which has some nice restaurants and amenities close by as well as a tube station within 5 mins walk to the hotel. Despite the amenities, the hotel was quiet and I wasn't disturbed by any noise at all. The staff were helpful, particularly in the restaurant and the room was clean and comfortable. For a single room, it felt light and spacious and had a great view of the courtyard below. The restaurant options are relatively small but the food was delicious and serving staff went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed my visit as a lone traveller.

I had no issues with the stay and can't think of any improvements.

Weekday staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Weekend staff, not so much. The available buffet breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful. Our garden-facing room was very quiet with a beautiful view of the night sky, which provided a spectacular view of the Supermoon

The room had a tendency to become hot and stuffy even with the slightly open windows. A desk fan was insufficient to make it comfortable, at times.

Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Excellent towels, bedding and toiletries. Good location. Secure underground parking. Allows dogs (brought ours) but room did not smell "doggy" nor did it feel that we were given an inferior room for having a dog.

£50 charge for one night for a dog seemed steep (the most we've ever paid) but in fairness we were not allocated a stinky room that's set aside for people with dogs so that might be their argument that they clean very thoroughly an existing room.

Very clean and good located hotel. The breakfast was great. The stuff was very nice and helpful. I was able to use an app to open the room door - great digitalisation. Thank you for the birthday cake!

The room was tiny and the connection door made it also noisy. Water pressure was not great, but good warm water.
