The hotel was located right across from the British Museum in a quiet and green neighborhood. It was very convenient yet calm. Every staff was very friendly and helpful during my three nights stay. I think I got upgraded (?) to a large and spacious room with an extra bedroom, which I very much appreciated and enjoyed.

The building itself is quite old while fairly well maintained. The lights are old fashioned but still do their job. I stayed in the lower floor (one level below the reception), and could hear the neighbors (especially footsteps from the people above me). But still it was very comfortable stay, and I have nothing to complain - especially at this price!

I loved the familiar location on Bedford Square (used to stay at the Penn Club) down the street. It was nice to be able to open the window/curtains and enjoy the quiet and green view onto the garden and the sound of birdsong in the morning. It was wonderful to have a fridge and microwave in addition to the tea butler. It's nice to be so close to the lovely park of Russell Square, and to the British Museum -- literally round the corner.

It was frustrating that even with much help from a staff member, I couldn't get on the internet and had to make alternative arrangements. Time to upgrade the system, I think. The desk chair could have been a bit higher. Even putting a pillow on it didn't raise it to a really comfortable height for working on the computer. The breakfast at the Clarendon next door could have been better. The food was cold and so were the tea and coffee. Fortunately, I had the microwave, kettle and fridge - also there are nice coffee shops nearby. The room was very small, but that is not unusual in central London.

Perfect location, executive suite was a brilliant size, free upgrade as we were moved to the hotel next door, also a free continental breakfast. The room was huge! Beautiful if not needing a slight lick of paint. Everything was clean, plenty of storage, bathroom was nice and clean. Bedding and room cleaned every day. The room also overlooked the gardens of the British Museum. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and a nice selection.

Nothing to say really apart from needing a little tlc.

Large beds, 1 single in a room by itself (no door). Loads of storage. Location was amazing. The little kitchenette was really good - plates, bowls, cutlery - you should advertise this better! Crisp, clean white bedding. Great facilities. Perfect for our 1 night get away.

Bathroom probably needs a good scrub in the corners but was generally clean. Slightly dated decor but nothing bad.

A very lovely hotel with extremely welcoming and helpful staff. We stayed for 1 night for an early hospital app the following morning 5 mins away so the location was great for us. Restaurants and food stores in a 5 min walking distance. Was a great priced room for the amazing amount of space we got.

We stayed in a basement room so was a bit noisy but, we suspected this may be. Little nooks and bits broken or dirty which could easily be fixed or cleaned, like the broken toilet roll holder etc but nothing major. Giant bed but a bit hard. The hotel was great for one nights stay so we can’t complain too much. We would stay again.

Beautiful old part of London. Close enough for our night out in Leicester Square but a nice quiet road so we got a good sleep with no outside noises. Backing onto London Museum.

No facilities for breakfast and dinner on site, you have to use the sister hotel next door. We stayed in a quad room and the sofa bed was really worn out and not comfy. The actual beds were reasonable.

Booked two rooms for a family theatre break. Great location for the West End Soho and Covent Garden within easy walking distance. Located equidistant to Holborn and Russell Square Underground stations. Our rooms were spacious, extremely clean and despite being advised that housekeeping would only be every 3 days, our rooms were serviced during a 2 night stay. The staff were friendly and a available if required. Breakfast was served at the sister hotel next door, good continental included in the room rate, extra for a cooked breakfast but good value. Was a good stay and would revisit.

The beds were quite hard and could do with extra pillows.

Lovely big room with kitchenette (didn't remember having asked for that, but a plus point) Location excellent near buses, British Museum, restaurants and pubs, Munchkins for good English breakfast - I do recommend this area to any visitor from outside London.

TV difficult to use (remote control, as always). I am too old or not sufficiently nerdy!

Good hard bed. Quiet room. I had a very good night's sleep. The single room was small but manageable. I could have worked there if I had really wanted. The bathroom was very clean. The bed linen was very clean (and simple).

Breakfast was in the next door hotel. But that was quite good. It was a continental breakfast. Good selection and warm croissants. As usual for a lot of hotels the coffee isn't up to Nespresso or Pret standards. That's fine.

Perfect location for visiting British museum, watching musicals, walking around in city centre… It’s quiet and cozy. Microwave and fridge in the room allow me to have breakfast heated and stored, food bought from Tesco nearby.

The bath tub is old, I feel not clean enough to use.
