The Hoxton, Holborn

Hotel location was great. Near Holborn Underground and walk-in distance to theatre and Covent Garden. Hotel Lobby had Lounge where people can have drinks. Food in Restaurant is good. Reception staff are Friendly and helpful

I had the cozy double room. It was really cozy as in SMALL. No cupboards to put my cloths. I had 2 bags hence could only open one bag at a time to get my things. The shower did not have a door as bathroom was small. So the bathroom floor is always wet after a shower. However room service does a good job wiping the floor during their cleaning.

The location is great

I understand that the location and time of year dictate price - tired excuse I would suggest - but the price v. room size was very high. I think the original premise of Hoxton (small space but reflected in the price) seems to have been forgotten.

The staff is excellent, particularly Lorena at the Front Desk. When we checked in during our first stay, Lorena was very friendly and professional. When we checked in for our second stay, she remembered us and greeted us warmly and provided everything we asked for including a dinner reservation and the reservation of a taxi very early the next morning. Also, the quality of the bed, mattress, and pillows is exceptional.

During our second stay, the bathroom was equipped for a handicapped person. Therefore, the sink and shower were not optimal for us. However, the rest of the room was outstanding.

The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom impeccably clean. Breakfast was really good and highly recommendable. The hotel is quite unique in that the lobby space allows guests and non guests to work comfortably, with good wifi, its a relaxing place to get online for work or pleasure. There is a good range of food to order, and staff are really helpful. You don't feel pressured to order excessively from the food and drink menu to be there.

The room was quirky and old worldly, which is fun; however, for the room price it should be impeccable. Unfortunately the chipped furniture and a few stains on the upholstery of the chairs takes away from the charm! Its fine to have antique pieces, but they do need to be maintained to give the right vibe and look to the room.

Finally, a quiet hotel room in central London! Lovely decor and furnishings. I really loved how the radio was on when I arrived! The bed was super comfy. I felt safe and comfortable, and it's a great location for travelling in and out of Kings Cross station, I walked between everywhere I needed to be, which was ideal.

The only thing was that the room didn't have a bath, only a shower, which is something I crave after a long day in central. And I wasn't sure if I was going to be charged for anything I used from the fridge. Also there wasn't anywhere to hang my long coat, no hooks. It's really expensive too, so was just a one-off for me.

the only thing that was odd is the way the hotel sets their thermostat/heat. I stayed during christmas 2022, for some reason, it was blowing cold air. But the team was VERY helpful, they eventually gave me a new upgraded room where the thermostat panel was working properly but this has to do with the way they set up heat downstairs in the maintenance room because I still had to ask them to reset the thermostat to "heat" since it was blowing out "cold air" still. Overall, it didn't create TOO much of an issue since they were able to reset to heat, it was a bit annoying because this was everyday that I was there....

Hoxton Holborn is a very modern hotel with super friendly personel. They helped us with early check-in which is a quite privilege on a day like 30 Dec. The location is perfect, very close to Holborn metro station, so you have direct connection to whole London. Breakfast is also very delicious, and we loved the lobby of the hotel which is very spacious and gives more a vibe of a modern cafe with full of people during the whole day. We will definitely visit Hoxton Holborn again!

These are small issues but one of the elevators was not operational during our whole visit which made people wait a little bit long to go upstairs. Another one was the douche drainage in our room, as it was not working properly water was easily pouring out after a minute but cleaning personel were always there to help you.

location, location, location modern and trendy hotel lobby, although always crowded by non-stayers decent and comfortable bed and linen breakfast is paid but very very good

- bathroom size and configuration - impossible to take a shower without getting the entire bathroom wet - although there is a cleaning service available everyday you have to ask for it - the thermostat in our room was not working properly (noisy, weird smells and sometimes blowed cold air - during winter) we complained about it once and they fixed but on the third night it happened again

Having stayed in a Cosy Up room before we were a little apprehensive about the size of a shoebox room but it was perfect for our one night stay and we could have happily stayed in the room another couple of nights!! On arrival, the room was super clean, the extra bits such as water and the fresh milk for tea was super appreciated and we were really really pleased with the room! I’m often travelling for exhibitions at the British Museum and I can’t express how convenient the Hoxton Holborn is - the location is amazing! We (I) had a minor medical emergency and the care I received from staff (Mimie) literally couldn’t have been better - she was a literal godsend who did everything she could to prevent an A&E visit; unfortunately we did end up at A&E but she made sure we knew exactly where we were going and packed us off with waters and biscuits (VERY appreciated in the 4 hours in the waiting room) and then when we returned in the morning she made sure (along with the girl on the desk who’s name I unfortunately didn’t catch but was also super super lovely!!!) we got a later check out time and wanted to know if she could help in any other ways! I literally can’t express how grateful I was/am for the absolutely stellar service and care!!! We had brunch the next day in the Rondo restaurant and the service and quality was amazing! I honestly could not recommend the Hoxton Holborn enough - I’m not sure I’d ever stay anywhere else after how wonderfully we were treated!!!

Amazing location and beautiful decor. As usual, the room here was so quiet and comfortable. it was my birthday while we were there so they treated us with a couple free drinks at the bar and goodies in the room. Hoxton hotels are pricey but I always feel like I get my moneys worth! Would stay at this location again.

I requested extra coat hangers and a lint roller from the front desk but didn’t get them and no mention of it from staff. I think for an upscale hotel I would expect a request like that to be handled.
