Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Chelsea

- Price in low season (January) was almost as low as many 1 and 2-star hotels in the city, yet clearly a step up in terms of comfort and amenities, and included breakfast. Great value. - Breakfast wasn't superb, but for the price paid, good value: oatmeal, frozen fruits (blueberries/strawberries on alternating days), waffles, toast. - Gym was open 24/7 and had a solid set of dumbbells to get a good workout in, and was equipped with a water machine and cups and yoga mat. - Location right by 28th St and 33th St stations

- More tea options would have been great (eg peppermint/camomile instead of just green/black) - Cereal for breakfast would have been nice - Curtains in the bathroom were too short so water was splashed around the bathroom every day - 2 double bed room was tiny, barely enough to fit the 2 beds and desk - Customer service was great with some reception staff but not others

The door on my room was broken, so I was upgraded to the 16th floor to a much larger room with a view! The location is superb...close to Penn station, which I used; walking distance to see Broadway shows; lots of restaurants and right on 28th street are several florist shops(if you like flowers, like I do).....Lots of variety for breakfast...eggs, hard boiled and scrambled, turkey bacon, choices of cereals, waffle maker, fresh fruit juices, coffee, of course, muffins, bread, bagels. Bedding was terrific, as were the towels!!!

My only complaint, but I don't think the hotel could do anything about it, was the door in the bathroom. It should have gone out, rather than inside, blocking the sink.

We had a room overlooking the inner courtyard. As a bonus, the windows opened a bit to let in fresh air. The hotel is really well located. We easily walked downtown to the shopping district and Times Square. The breakfast was plentiful with just enough variety and was very good. We were very pleasantly surprised and would go back. The rooftop lounge area was also a very nice surprise and we took advantage of the last of the days sunshine up there one day after having walked around New York all day.

There is really nothing to dislike at this hotel. We were very happy with our stay there.

Room was lovely - 9th floor. The hotel is located in the flower district so very pretty outside. Its on West 28th St with the subway 2 mins away - we used this a lot, very easy to navigate your way around. Staff were efficient, bottles of water were complimentary. The hotel has a roof top terrace - needs a bar or at least a vending machine otherwise a wasted space. Breakfast was good - self service with fruit, yoghurts, bagels, breads, scrambled egg, sausages, cereals etc - really good. Overall a good stay for 4 nights.

Housekeeping - there wasn't any. We were asked on arrival if we need housekeeping, we did ask for a change of towels on day 3 but that didn't happen. Not a disaster as we could have gone to reception and asked again but why should we have to.

i liked that the hotel had breakfast but they could expand it a little more and do some pastry’s or little on the go items. location was perfect for us! center of absolutely everything and not a far walk to the subways or even time square! mcdonald’s on the corner was very convenient!

i didn’t like that the breakfast only had fat free/ organic milk and no whole milk. it did not taste that good. also need more items such as pastry’s on on the go items. also our room was the smallest i’ve ever stayed in and wish there was a little more room .

- Good location in Chelsea; very cute flower market just outside the hotel, in the street. There are subway stations nearby, one of them about 5min away. - Very comfortable bed and warm room. - Very good breakfast: eggs, some protein, oatmeal, yogurts, waffles, bagels and bread, etc. It was a great surprise. - The room was normal size for New York (small but enough). - Excellent wifi.

- You have to ask for room service and we were not informed about this during check-in (there’s only a small note about this in the elevator…). I would expect they cleaned the room everyday but this was not a problem in the end, since they cleaned it every 2 days. - The carpets outside the rooms were a bit dirty and the cabinet of the bathroom too. - Staff is ok: some were nice while others not so much.

Excellent location, good breakfast ， offer plenty of water, coffee and tea. Very friendly stuff, provide free luggage holding service. Free upgrade on room type. Newly renovated facility. Hotel entry surrounded by flow stores, nice rooftop.

Extra King room facing 28 th Street, appears a bit nosy, but we are fine with it. House cleaning stuff did not provide new cups and soap after cleaning room service . Should change to a nicer photo in the website . The photo shows pretty worn out furniture which no longer there.

I liked the location, a few blocks away from the center of Manhattan. Price was good for the room that I got. Staff was very helpful when I had questions. Very close to lots of food options and multiple subway lines.

The first room I was assigned had an overflowing toilet. After some back and forth, I was switched to a different room. The next room had a bathroom door that did not close completely, so the lock didn't work.

Good size room with huge shower. Staff were very friendly. Free cold water was useful for water bottles. Great location on a nice street with flower shops. Only thing missing was a fridge. Breakfast a little basic for an extended stay. Moxy opposite has a good roof top bar. Right by a few subway lines.

Nice location. Hotel was really clean and breakfast was alright.

I think the hotel should improve the soundproofing of the doors. We heard everything what happened on the floor. Maybe slightly improve the knowledge of the receptionist. We took a transfer from the hotel to JFK and receptionist told us that it will take us maximum 45 minutes. In the end it took us 1 hour and 45 minutes.
