the iconic design and decoration/furnishings position good on edge of Central Park most staff were lovely. couple of door staff and luggage men were grumpy
the lack of things included in your stay cost ! no water in room or coffee/tea making facilities. everything is charged for on top of the room rate. even in the shard you get coffee making etc the cost of drinks and food are extortionate then you have 18% tip plus tax to add on. don’t bother with the mini bar it’s so expensive too. also the breakfast rate is a waste of time as they just give you £60 head to spend in the bar to order set meals for breakfast not a buffet like other large hotels. overall highly over priced and a rip off

iconic- gorgeous decor, opulent lobby and bar! large rooms - beautifully appointed. staff was very accommodating. most comfortable beds and pillows I have ever experienced in a hotel.
our shower did not drain - the hotel sent maintenance. the maintenance employee fixed the drain, but tracked dirty foot prints all over our clean bathroom. I expected more from the Plaza. one of our sinks didn’t drain…so all four of us used one sink. the television had about eight spots of light throughout the screen - we gave up on the tv.

Great Service at the Champagne restaurant; excellent food. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent and the shower had an individual temperature controller which made the shower feel like a spa session.
Service was not as good at the Palms restaurant. The Hostess sat us in a crowded cluster with other diners when there was plenty of room throughout the restaurant and then told us it was because she was expecting other guests; no other guests arrive during the entire hour we were dining.
