Sonesta ES Suites Houston Galleria

Staff are excellent and hospitable. This is my 3rd time to stay in sonesta ES every time I attend the Houston Aortic Symposium. Highly recommended to my friends who will visit houston I would like to commend the lady in the front desk and the housekeeping for their HONESTY. An hour after i checked out, I realized that i had forgotten to get my body bag at the safe. When i called back to inform them that i left some valuables at their safe a few minutes, later we had the feedback that its there. God bless the Honest staff of SONESTA ES (march 18, 2023).

The property was very clean and well maintained from what we could see. The staff were very helpful, and although it was after 11pm when we were checking in, they still had smiles on their faces and just a good attitude. The room was really nice, super clean, smelled good, and it had literally everything you needed to cook a small meal....pots/pans, utensils, plates, etc. The fridge was a good size, a nice microwave, and a two burner glass stove top. The bed was super comfortable, the linens were clean, and the standard white, including the towels, AC worked perfectly, and there was even a small couch to watch TV. There is also a table to eat at. They provide a laundry basket if you need to wash, a ironing board and iron as well as a hair dryer. I will definitely rent a room here again when in town on business. And it was affordable.

I can't think of anything except maybe just some very minor small cosmetic repairs that were needed in the room. The only thing I would really push management/owner to do is invest in USB charging ports on the outlets in a couple of places, such as on the night tables. People usually have a cord now with them but not the charging box to plug into the wall. USB charging ports would be a good investment.

It was basically a small apartment with a kitchen area, a table for 4, a king-sized bed, a nice sink/vanity area outside the bathroom, and bathroom with tub/shower. It was clean, smelled nice, and was well set up. We were pleasantly surprised! Staff was also super-nice, and the breakfast was better than expected.

The only problem with the room (329) is that the tub faucet would come off in your hand if you did not keep it pressed toward the wall a bit as you turned it. It went back on easily, and it wasn't like water sprayed around or anything, but it was a bit disconcerting.

The facility was nice and right in the middle of tons of things to do. Restaurants, bars, and half a mile from The Galleria Mall. Price was great. I booked a 3-day birthday getaway for my boyfriends birthday and we had an awesome time.

A few things were wrong with the room. One of the entry light bulbs was out upon entering the room. The direct tv was out when we got there but was fixed that same night. The door to the bathroom would not shut. It rubbed on the ground to where I had to put body weight on it to somewhat close due to how bad it rubbed. The shower head didnt work. And two of the pillow cases smelled like mens cologne like they werent washed. We used the other pillows. There were also a few little spider webs on the ceiling. The location was extremely noisy due to constant traffic, engine revving, horns blowing and loud music outside. It is very busy there. Aside from those few things everything else was fine.

Elevator

The location, studio suite, inside the room noise control. Did not hear traffic all day and night. Parking was always available and convenient. Breakfast was great with plenty choices and offered more than just undercooked pork sausage.

The one and only slow elevator. Need firmer larger pillows. Extra blankets should be stored in the room, kitchen supplies should be in the room, including dish cloths and dish towels.

Provided take-out breakfast with "hot cooked" options. Kitchens were well stocked with dishes and equipment. Great location, walking distance to Galleria Mall. Onsite coin laundry facilities.

Close to important points in Houston. Located in a Very good and safe neighbourhood

Toilet cleaning was not properly done. The hotel has a daily cleaning. But bathroom were not properly cleaned during our stay, nor cleaning material for bathroom was available, that would allow us to solve by ourselves any cleaning issues we noticed.

The suite we were given was very spacious and comfortable. The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of the Galleria Mall. Yet very quiet.

The breakfast could have offered scrambled eggs and hash brown potatoes which were not offered. Only protein offered was a sausage+egg croissant. Someone like me who prefers eggs without sausage is out of luck.

Location, location, location. Next to the Galleria. Value for money is great, especially when you compare to other hotels in the area. The room even had a small kitchen. Continental breakfast included was a plus.

It took too long for hot water to flow to the bathtub. I was there during a scorching summer, so it wasn’t an issue. But I can see this being a problem for some people or in winter.
